I Will Be The Monkey God! Chapter 88

Chapter 88: Invade
Before all those events with Michu's savior happened, Michu approached Zerze.
Both of them stared into each other in silence.
Since many things had happened between them in a short time, this silence was natural and understandable.
But just for them.
Many onlookers giggled and cheered Lil Monke who looked like someone who would want to challenge Zerze. After his words before the battle with Kaiser, such an impression of Michu was fine and on the spot too.
He wanted to try his skills against Zerze, but he also wanted to be his friend.
Zerze was the first one to break this silence, surprisingly, "A beer has different tastes, depending on the company."
"Oh... I see..." Michu awkwardly scratched his cheek.
"It tasted good with your company," Zerze nodded and closed his eyes, but a smile was nowhere to be seen on his face.
His words made Michu smile, though. "I know this is a game... But it means much more to both of us... That's why... I will stop you from stealing Venomous' skill... And afterward, we will become friends again!"
"That is highly unlikely... Because if I fall once, I will continue to stand up until I am utterly alone," Zerze's reply stunned Michu.
The monke could understand his words, however. He looked down with many thoughts coursing through his mind, then raised his eyes, "I hope everything will turn out well! You seem like a good guy!"
Michu turned heels and distanced himself from Zerze.
However, the cold voice stopped him just for a little more talk, "Do you reach out to everyone like that?"
"No... You seemed genuinely lonely..." Michu replied.
"What if I had no family left in this world?" Zerze asked.
"That's..." It made it hard for Michu to answer as he didn't know the exact context behind those words.

Zerze helped him here, "Let's say that I got disappointed and disappointed by them... What would you do if your family continued to hurt and disappoint you?"
This forced Michu to think for a good while.
But as he also took a good step into adult life and earned his first income, Michu knew the problems laying behind this kind of life. People were fated to change and he was also doing his best to change for the better.
This was a good change, but if his class were to suddenly disappear, Michu wouldn't be able to deal with it properly. Even he found no problem imagining his fear and dismay. At this point, his family would've helped him.
However, was his family exempt from that? Of course not!
"If someone from my family got lost in their life and stepped on a wrong path, I would do my best to help them. If they disappointed me, then I would endure. I would be able to endure because I know that deep inside them we are all good people who love each other." Michu replied.
"How long would you endure for?"
"Until my heart wouldn't be able to go on," Michu seriously answered.
"That's subjective..." Zerze uttered but a faint ripple in his voice could be heard.
Has Michu somehow influenced Zerze or helped him? That was something he would learn in the future, but what he got was "Thanks." It was genuine thanks from Zerze that didn't look like a cold killer or someone wrong.
The man turned heels and disappeared somewhere within the people, but Michu was left with his heart brimming with a warm feeling, "Helping others is nice," He whispered to himself while caressing his chin.
He felt like Michu understood the aunts from the neighboring market far better! They were always helping his family by providing free fruits and so on!

Naturally, Michu offered help too! All he could offer was his muscles, but it was a great help for the widow aunts! Though they refused him mostly, Michu did his best to convince them to help.
"It's been a while since I helped here! I must make some free time!" Michu thought out loud! He turned heels and went to the restaurant where Yumi should be with Sandra, but he got stopped again.
This time, it was Four Eyes Light.
The man pushed his glasses, made that weird light, and whispered, "I have some important rumors to speak with you, Michu!" It sounded mysterious.
So mysterious that Michu felt an unknown thrill coursing through his body. He caressed his chin slowly and sneakily, "Go on, Four Eyes Light..." He whispered like a spy from the movie, but that made his friend look at him oddly.
The bespectacled man replied faintly, "I heard that the Western Block's rookies are on their way to our Regional Tournament. They might sneak in or... even invade the tournament!"
"Really?" Michu whispered back and wanted to know more!
It was an interesting development, for both him and the viewers!
But Four Eyes Light wasn't so thrilled about it. The money from bets would get canceled if that was the case! He lamented to his monke friend, but added, "It's just a rumor I heard from my friend from Western Block... We are all nerds and have a wide network... But it still sounds impossible. Look, wouldn't that be like spitting into our whole region's face?"
"True..." Michu nodded a few times, his hand on his chin.
"Oh, by the way..." Four Eyes Light spoke about something more amusing, "You made me a fortune, Michu! Haha! I bet on you and even added a few more bets. Everyone thought that Black Magic Magician would sweep through his survival game, but I added a bet where you would be the one slapping his face! Guess what? Hehe!"
"Did I slap his face?" Michu wondered!
His friend's shoulders sank as Michu just killed the mood! He still felt amused and excited, though.
Thus, he said, "I think you didn't but the thing is that you have made a lot of money for us! We will be one of your top fans!"
"Thanks!" Michu raised thumbs up! "I thought I would also have a good slap on the camera, but there will be more chances in the future!"
"A good slap? Oh, you are speaking about Venomous Slap! That one was golden!" Four Eyes Light giggled with a faint blush.
Michu did the same, but he was kinda curious about Western Block's Invade, "Do they want Excalibur?"
"Probably," His friend replied with a nod.
"Hmm... So it's best to reserve strength and stamina, right?" Michu genuinely asked.
"Yep!"
