Chapter 77: I would've killed you already

"I thought there would be a special privilege for popular players," Michu asked Four Eyes Light who had been trembling ever since he came closer to Zerze. No cold aura had permeated their surroundings, but Zerze had just that much beaming!

Their whole small group looked a little weird to the outsiders.

There was Zerze, the boss.

He was a tall man and wore long robes with fur around his neck. His black hair fell just before his blue eyes that were constantly enchanted by an unknown skill. He would be coveted by many ladies was it not for those blue eyes and killer aura.

Next to him was someone more casual.

It was Michu, the monke!

He always had a wide smile and exuberant air around him. He also had robes, but these were thinner and more casual. In his hand, one would always find a banana. He shared his bananas with his two good friends.

After a while, some people joked; if you found no banana in this man's hands, then you would get struck by luck soon!

The last and the most pitiful one was Four Eyes Light. He was the one who couldn't casually stay next to Zerze, his body trembling nonstop. Even his glasses were shattered by the coldness and he couldn't do his move smoothly.

"The Regional Tournament is governed by popular guilds from our region. It's a fair and square tournament, so they won't play favorites on Zerze," Four Eyes Glasses glanced at Zerze who hadn't paid any attention to him at all.

The youth believed Zerze found him bothersome and his presence unnecessary.

It was Michu who shouted his nickname and brought him here as the monke followed; the more, the merrier principle.

Zerze also turned out to be a quiet person.

"We would like to sign together! Ah, I also want to sign my girlfriend, is that okay?" It was finally their turn! Since Zerze spoke more with his eyes, Michu took the job of speaking in his stead. He also asked an important question.

"Yes, it's fine. She will get a system message after you sign here and by accepting it, she will be registered," The lady behind the booth nodded and spoke good news to Michu!

He signed himself, passed a paper to Zerze, then wrote Venomous' nickname on another one. Thus, Michu signed himself for the Regional Tournament! Both of them stepped aside and went to the restaurant.

"I wonder what game will be chosen for this season," Michu said after taking a seat by the table. Not so surprisingly, a lot of people had made a way for them and even left a few more tables around them.

A poor NPC's chief seethed inside from grief. His eyes just experienced a lot of clients disappearing in a flash!

Zerze was unbothered as it was a casual restaurant with many young and naive people. In the end, he raised his hand, "Beer." and ordered with a domineering tone. His eyes then turned to Michu, "Regional Tournament has just one game per season. But there are seasons every two months."

"I know! Hehe! But I think I will do well in all games! What about you?" Michu asked casually which was something that Four Eyes Light still couldn't comprehend. Either Michu was a big shot or he was someone who couldn't read the mood!

'I will win," Zerze replied stoically.

"Even in... F-FPS? Ah?" Four Eyes Light gathered all his courage to speak. But he was still trembling and ended up speaking as if taunting Zerze. He ended up sneaking behind Michu who looked forward to his new friend's answer.

"Even FPS," Zerze replied in the same way.

"That's nice to have a lot of confidence! But I think it's also good to respect your opponent! This is a fair and square match, so let's do our best!" Michu happily exclaimed, then looked at the beer, "I have never drunk one... Is it good?"

Zerze smiled, his smile sending down shivers for Four Eyes Light, "Try it." He passed it like a smuggler, at least that was how Four Eyes Light assumed. However, his new friend grasped the cup and drank a little without scruples.

"It tastes bitter!" Michu said, but he took a few more sips, "Hmm... It's an addictive taste!" He took a few more, then Zerze forcefully yanked a cup from the monke!

Zerze said, "That stingy chef raised the price for me. Buy a few more and I will share it with you."

"Eh? Why did he do that?" Michu asked absentmindedly, then ordered a few cups of beer for himself. He shared it with Zerze who threw some money at him. Of course, Michu pushed it back to him and said, "I ordered it for us! Let's drink it. Ah, Four Eyes Light... Are you 18? Can you drink and smoke?"

"I am 18," The new friend said, then his eyes shone white! "This is Black Magic Magician!" As the valuable source of information gathered before their eyes, Four Eyes Light's attitude took a great change.

He spoke confidently and analyzed The Black Magic Magician's equipment.

"Black Magic!" Michu responded after slamming his cup onto the table, "I don't like black magic!" How many times did he click something else? In his early days, the black magic was totally incomprehensible for Michu, his eyes tearing a little as he reminded himself of his early days.

If not for Yumi and her quests to message her every night, Michu's fingers still wouldn't be able to operate that well through this magic.

"I really don't like black magic!" A drunk Michu exclaimed, then reached out for another cup!

For the first time since their meeting, Zerze and Four Eyes Light had the same feelings within them. They also tilted their heads and looked at Michu with the same eyes!

After all... What kind of black magic was this monke talking about?

They ignored the matter and enjoyed the company with the beer by their side.

Then, the lady with threatening eyes entered the restaurant. If the new friend wasn't drunk and asleep, then he would've spilled out his beer and probably cried out of despair. Those green eyes were indeed dangerous!

"Michu... The game has been chosen already..." Yumi entered the restaurant!

She couldn't contact Michu, but it was because he and Zerze had a small bet. It turned out that Zerze's head was much tougher and he could drink endlessly!

However, Michu was much better than Four Eyes Light!

"Ah, Yumi! Hehe! We had... so much fun... We talked about... our opponents!" Michu spoke in a drunk tone, so his girlfriend sighed and slowly closed up the distance.

However, after Zerze turned his head around, Yumi stopped and her eyes gained a new blue hue.

Zerze's eyes widened and his usual cold eyes brightened as well, "I see." He stood up and threw some gold coins at Michu! He then deleted him from the friend list and faced Venomous expressionlessly. "If not him, I would've killed you already."

"Who would've killed who?" Venomous didn't take a step back, her eyes raised at Zerze who just spoke threatening words!

"I will take that ability from you," Zerze smiled with killing intent, "I have already killed other successors. All who had seen those blue eyes within Ice Tomb's Vault... I will personally kill them and take their skills, for I am the true successor."

"..."

Zerze passed through Yumi, then left the restaurant.

In an instant, a lot of people turned heels and dispersed from the sight! His cold eyes remained the same, but the heart... grieved a little.

He knew that his 'friend' girlfriend was similar to him, but she was too similar. The ability she got from the Impossible Quest would soon be snatched by him. Whether here or somewhere else, Zerze would find Venomous and snatch her hard work!

This would be something that an exuberant monke wouldn't like, even more since it would be his girlfriend losing something valuable.

Thus, this friendship ended as quickly as it formed.
