I Will Be The Monkey God! Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Snake
Every newbie was told to pick up weapons from martial artists, then those newbies would begin one of five paths; warrior, archer, mage, priest, and tank.
In the beginning, each player would usually hold a sword or ax and martial artists would tell from just one slash whether the player had the potential to become a warrior or tank.
Then, they would suggest another weapon and eventually send players to priests or mages.
It was not mandatory to listen to their words and players were free to stick to their desired weapons.
Michu saw that his opponent had a sword, "You gangster!" Immediately noticing the red name floating above the warrior's head, Michu charged at him while yelling the 'gangster' word.
It was so unusual that the player stopped his tracks, "What? Gangster?"
Going across the golden light from bananas, Michu thrust his staff forth. His eyes aimed at the solar plexus as it was one of his usual targets, even in real life.
People often fell from one strong punch aimed here.
But the player quickly regained his wits and slashed his sword in defense.
Boom!
The two weapons clashed, but Michu instantly pounced forward, closing up distance, "You want to steal my bananas, so you are gangster! Aren't you?" Michu was often reminded about people, commonly called through this very word.
The player didn't have time to answer as Michu continued to press forward. His level one stamina and strength were far different than expected.
Once the man got thrown into confusion, Michu nimbly used his staff and struck the man's body several times.
Unfortunately, he couldn't hit his desired spot, but one of the messages brought a surprise to his eyes.
[-23 HP!]
[-26 HP!]
[Critical Strike! -56 HP!]
"Oh! I remember this feeling!" Michu laughed innocently, then clenched his fist.
His eyes glanced at the gangster whose body already hit the ground. Even before the player's eyes went up, Michu thrust his staff yet again.

This time was different.
First of all, Michu did his utmost best to remember the feeling he felt from doing the critical strike.
The second was that he aimed at the man's eyes which should bring out a 100% critical strike ratio.
Though Michu wasn't sure of it, the weak spots of the human's body were more liable towards the critical strikes.
[Critical Strike! -54 HP!]
[Critical Strike! -46 HP!]
[You have killed the player!]
"Eh? Already? I must do more critical strikes!" Michu exclaimed in shock, then turned around.
Another player had been sneaking his way towards the bananas, but when he spotted Michu's victory, his steps halted.
He uttered after feeling Michu's attention, "Aren't you level 1?"
"I don't speak with gangsters!" Michu roared, his voice louder than usual! Kicking the ground instantly after, he flew towards the first player!
He just did three critical strikes, so to get the skill from his class, Michu had to deal seven more!
Stomping on the ground like a martial artist, Michu broke common sense with his agility as his staff's thrust could already be felt on the player's cheek.
But what actually hit the player was the wind that grazed his cheek.
"Ah! I failed…" Michu uttered with a faint sadness. His sadness quickly faded away as he added, "My bad!"
As the staff retreated, the player with shield and sword could feel another fast breeze slapping his cheek.
He raised his shield up, but Michu leaned down and struck the man's foot instead, "No critical strike! This shield… is a bother!" Because it blocked the man's vital points, Michu kicked the ground, leaped up, and then descended onto the man's shield with heavy force behind.
The man was taken aback by such a jump as it was just too high, "What are you!? A monkey?! AHHHH!" He lost his balance, fell onto his back then rolled on the ground. His shield became lost property, so Michu snatched it into his inventory.

His eyes located another target, the sounds of his charge already ringing in the area.
"That guy must be using some cover! No way he is level 1!" The player who wanted his luck retreated instantly upon witnessing Michu's prowess.
He turned around, but just a few seconds later he bumped into someone, "Fuck! What's your problem? Eh?"
A minute later, his voice no longer could ring in the area.
Michu was oblivious to someone else's interference as his eyes continued to locate players with red names. He was too much focused on those, but it was not that entirely bad as any malicious intent would get marked with a red color anyway.
"Ah! Another failure! My bad! My bad!" Michu's voice echoed again in the vicinity. It was already the same and known voice that stated his failure. He just couldn't keep the critical strike combo as players did their best to protect their lives.
They were doing it instinctively and just like that, their legs kicked the ground to save their lives.
Even if dying on an early level wouldn't amount to anything serious, the players, especially newbie ones, were scared of death. If not the fantasy setting with an old medieval tinge, then they wouldn't distinguish this world from their real one.
It was just natural for them to avoid death as much as possible.
[You have completed the quest!]
"Eh? Already? Did I make another mistake with math?" Michu could swear that he just beat around seven players, not fifteen like the quest had stated.
A quest log opened by itself and revealed the truth.
[Players with malicious intent had run away.]
[No banana has been taken by them!]
[You have killed seven players!]
[You have learned Monkey God's Bonk Skill!]
"Haha! That's so nice! Even though I failed, I still got the skill! I should train it soon!" Michu happily wiped the sweat off his forehead, then put the staff into his inventory.
He turned around to return to his initial position, but in the middle of all his golden bananas, a woman with white hair and green eyes stood as if the statue.
She didn't look directly at Michu, but her eyes kept glancing at him from time to time.
When he ended his quest and kicked away all the players, she finally turned her eyes to him and said, "Don't you want to loot all those items lying around?"
"Are you a gangster?" Michu asked, his eyes narrowed.
He wanted to see through this woman, but for the first time, he found it hard. Usually, Michu would be able to tell by looking into someone's eyes, but her green eyes seemed venomous yet not dangerous at all.
But as she smiled weirdly, Michu let out a weird voice, "Uhuhu!" And took a few steps back! His legs bent and one could think he just entered the battle position.
The lady on the other side laughed faintly, "You really look like a monkey. Just like that player said."
"That play?" Michu probed.
"Didn't you fight him?"
"I don't listen to gangsters. That's stupid." That was what his sister said, but it was exclusive to Michu as nothing good would come out if he were to talk with those bad people.
A white-haired woman chuckled, "If I were a gangster, then I would've already stolen some of your bananas, wouldn't I? But I do bite sometimes," Another weird smile appeared on her face, but Michu no longer was weirded out by it.
He straightened his back and said, "So you helped me? Thank you! I am Michu."
[Michu has sent you a friend request.]
"Let's team up and go to the dungeon together tomorrow!"
A woman's snake eyes blinked promptly, "Aren't you… too fast to make relationships?"

He tries to find the answer to questions like What is the soul. Why can wizards use magic, while muggles cannot? Do bloodlines truly exist? And if so, what use is it to wizards? And if they are indeed real, how I can I get there?" This story is an Infinite Stream novel where the mc travels through different anime and movie worlds acquiring various magical abilities and knowledge to become a supreme wizard that stands on the top of countless dimensions and universes. Warnings: The MC will spend a great deal of time in the Harry Potter World before going to other worlds.I have not decided whether the [Curse Child] is canon or not. I do not care what JK Rowling said. This is a pseudo-science explanation of magic, so take it with a grain of salt. I am an amateur writer with not-so-good grammar, so any constructive criticism is appreciated. This is a wish-fulfillment and Gary Stu-type novel so read at your convenience. If this is not your kind of thing, then move along and do not complain about it later. Although this fanfic will be a Harem, the mc will not have a thousand women. Most likely, I will write so that he has a certain relationship with some female characters, then he will leave her in her own universe. Only a few will follow him in his journey. Also, a few men will be in his group. THIS IS NOT A YAOI. Disclaimer: All the characters--except the one created by me--belong to JK Rowling.
