The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 318

It was a student from section A. Except for the elite class, there was section A who had the highest mana capacity.
So everyone, especially those in the lower section, had their brows knitted and frowned, hoping that the person would not choose them. It added more intimidation, the identity of the last participant.
He was a guy who was known for his delinquent acts.
"I-it's Roberto Arturo!" One of the students inside the waiting hall shouted the last participant's name.
There were many reports about this Arturo guy. He once beat up a student from a lower section.
After Instructor Goki handed him a mic, many of the participants in the waiting hall made a distinct gulping sound, seemingly nervous, most of which were those in the lower section.
They noticed a grin on a person's face before announcing the name of his chosen opponent.
"Yman Talisman of section D or also known as Crimson!"
"What!"
"Sigh, thankfully, it wasn't me. That guy was so scary."
"....."
Many of the remaining participants sighed in relief after hearing that it wasn't their name.
On the other hand, they glanced at the owner of the name.
Yman was being showered by their gaze. However, he wasn't a bit worried about it.
"Yman, be careful," Almina whispered to him. She had no idea why most of the students around were so nervous, but she needed to remind him to always be careful. There was no obligation regarding it, but she felt she had to say it. She felt something hard to explain regarding this match.
Must be an intuition.
Also, the other participants around them were talking about that person.
That he was a delinquent and already did some vile acts.
Yman nodded at her and continued towards the stage. He had no idea why this man chose him as his opponent, but after coming up on stage and facing the said person, he finally understood why he chose him.

He remembered this guy. It was the guy who pushed him in the auditorium during the inauguration ceremony.
Right. It was the guy who was the cause that he bumped into Chloe, who at that time was behind him.
Yman wondered if this guy had natural hate towards him. Regardless, he wasn't a bit concerned about it. He was not the type of person who was easily triggered by simple provocation.
'So this man's name was Roberto Arturo,' Yman thought while facing his old antagonist.
"Okay, you already know the rules so there is no need for me to repeat. If you are ready, then there is no reason to delay it. Okay, Fight!" Announced the referee Instructor Goki.
With a grin on his face, Roberto Arturo produced a massive amount of mana all over his body. Then he rushed towards him. While he was at it, he produced a shining shortsword in his left hand and exhibited a straight bolt approach.
It was a quick movement. And looking at his figure that envelopes with a shining aura, everyone could tell that he was strong. They could not believe that he wasn't chosen as part of the elite, just with the density of his mana alone.
Kiko, in the waiting hall, grinned menacingly. This toad had no idea who Roberto Arturo was. He was the son of a renowned military officer. He was a young genius with an unbelievable amount of mana. However, that person purposely suppressed.
He disliked being in a class full of geniuses. He rather went to a class where he was the one above the rest.
With an ear-to-ear grin on his face, Roberto Arturo leaped to shorten the distance faster. There was only a step away from the two of them. Roberto Arturo raised his sword.

Swiing~!
He swung it!
However,
"What happened?" A surprise question coming from someone. Even Roberto Arturo himself had widenede his eyes.
"Nothing happened?"
"It did not hit?"
Someone in the audience exclaimed.
"No! Look!" Another guy pointed out.
Just then, they heard a dull sound which was followed by a metallic noise. When they glanced at the cause for it, they saw an arm holding a shining sword a few steps away, behind Roberto Arturo.
"Aaarrrrggh!"
It was followed by an ear-piercing scream. It was from Roberto Arturo.
Everyone in the waiting hall had uniformed stunned faces. Especially those from section A.
They wondered what happened. They could not believe that Roberto Arturo was now crying in pain. He was the guy who bossed them in the classroom.
It seemed as though Roberto Arturo was a boss inside their classroom. Most of the students in that section were afraid of him.
There was once a time that a student tried to stand in front of him to relinquish his dominance in the room. However, that person got a good beating in return.
Most of them had any suspicion about his true strength. But no one was daring enough to report him. Without proof, it was only a baseless accusation and might be used against them.
Thus, his dominance in the section continued even until now. However, Roberto Arturo was now screaming in agony. On second look, they noticed he lost his arm.
How did it happen?
Most of the students questioned it. As none of them could follow. Only those in the elites and the experts who were in the False Path saw it.
However, most of them fell silent as they wondered how Yman could execute such a quick attack that only those in the False Path could execute.
When they read his statistics, it was recorded there that he was only a level 5 magician?! How did it happen?
Wait. Wasn't he a level 4 just yesterday? So he just leveled up? Still, it could not explain his action. His attack was not something that someone at the lower level could perform.
Regardless, they noticed Yman produced a chakram, a type of throwing weapon, using crimson-colored mana? They wondered when he had such mana.
On top of that, creating something using one's mana was considered an advanced technique.
Aside from others, Roberto Arturo himself did not expect what was happening. It was already too late when he noticed that person threw it.
At the moment, Yman was forming another chakram on his hand.
Without wasting time, Roberto Arturo produced a vial of red liquid and drank it while at the same time leaped back, distancing himself from him.
Yman secretly chuckled.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
