The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 304

"I think that's beyond being merciless, ahaha, " Ultima laughed descendingly, responding to Vortex.
Currently, the two of them were staring from one of the corners of the room.
When they saw Yman, they were about to call him. But they quickly changed their minds against it as they noticed he was together with some people.
However, it was unexpected that someone blocked the door when Yman's group was about to leave the barracks.
Well, it was Abel.
Ultima and Vortex failed to hear their conversation as they were quite a distance from where the door was.
The next thing they noticed, Abel was already in resonance with his deity.
Ultima stood up as he felt something wasn't right going on.
Even though Miss Almina was together with them, Ultima felt the need to intervene. After all, he was acquainted with Yman. On top of that, he was a Junior student. So it was only natural to try to stop the other junior from bullying the freshman student.
And Ultima disliked the idea of bullying.
However, before his foot took a step forward, he froze on his feet. A dull sound of impact reached his ears, then Abel was knocked away.
After delivering a powerful punch, Abel's figure was stuck in the ground, seemingly unconscious.
'Strong…' Ultima commented inwardly before replying to Vortex.
Not even the likes of Abel were able to fight back, even with his advanced resonance.
After defeating Abel without a sweat, Yman walked back, still wearing a cold expression on his face. He left Abel lying on the ground, in the center of a web-like crack.
Abel's deity was sitting on top of him, seemingly anxious at his situation.
He heard a whisper from Sistela, who at the moment was in resonance with him.
'What do you mean?'
'There's no way I do that in front of my sister!' He exclaimed in mind.
After canceling his resonance with Sistela, Yman walked towards the dumbfounded group.
Bob and the others were once again reminded that Yman was very different from before. Not even a junior trainee was able to fight back.
Yman's physical strength truly became a beast. In just a month, how did he acquire so much power? Maybe, he found some valuable item that boosts his strength while he was traveling in the Encantasia or he got to meet a master who taught him some ancient techniques.
Almina, on the other hand, was showing a warm expression towards Yman. She guessed that Yman left the city for a month to find a way to become this strong. After all, he was in a tight bet against Kiko. She was so happy for him.

She noticed Yman stopped in front of Miss Rea. Then he gazed at her. No one could see her real face except him, Yana, and Rea herself.
He used an illusion spell that everyone inside the range of 100-meter radius around Rea would be seeing a different face of her.
The center of the spell was Rea herself and not the people around him. Rea was unaware when a mosquito-type enhanced fire doll bit her a while ago. It was another version of the mosquito model.
He called it, Mr. Mask Quito-- the illusion master.
Well, it was just another version of a mosquito enhanced fire doll.
Rea glanced at him with teary eyes. Perhaps, she was mad that everyone was looking at her like she was so ugly. And also, it crushed her pride as a princess of two countries.
Nevertheless, she understood that it was for her safety that he did it. Still, she was mad for some reason.
Especially whenever Almina Amulet showed pity on her. Don't get her wrong. She wasn't mad at her because she disliked her. She was mad for an inexplicable reason.
Everyone was staring at him as she slowly fixed Miss Rea's hood to cover her head. The expression on his face was already calm. "It's getting hot. Not good for your skin…" after saying it, he smiled.
Everyone showed a '0' expression on their faces as they glanced at them. Even Yana did as well. But it was much better if her brother said comforting words to Miss Rea.
"Tsk, that didn't make me happy," Rea mumbled while looking away. But Rea understood what he meant. As someone who has also had a little knowledge about illusion spells.
She understood that sunlight could weaken the spell.
The group proceeded without giving a second look at the lying Abel. After all, it was all Abel's fault.
"Yman," Almina called out while leaning forward to look at his face. "Mhm?" He made a low guttural sound.
"Are you angry because that guy insulted Miss Rea?" She whispered.
"Well, that's one part of it…" he replied. In truth, Yman didn't care about the insult. It wasn't even true. When they saw her real image, everyone would be gawking towards her now. Also, he was half to blame for Rea's situation. So, if there was someone at fault that she got mocked, it was Yman himself.
"I, I see…"
"Regardless, don't you need to rest?" It was Yman's turn to ask.
"Uh, eh, err…" Almina was skeptical and everyone was looking at her. She wasn't even tired. She felt like she could walk miles of distance without resting.

"Right, right, we need to rest!" Kesha, who was silent the whole time, suddenly interjected.
She probably thought it was dangerous to stay around Yman.
"Wait! Best friend! I'm not tired!" Almina reasoned.
"It's not about being tired," Kesha responded while dragging Almina away from Yman. Yman and the others gawked as they were staring with blank eyes at the comedy that was happening in front of them.
"It wasn't about not being tired. If Elder Paan knew that you didn't rest after today's round, you would get a good punishment," Kesha explained.
Almina gaped. Her face indicates that she just remembered something.
Yman also noticed the blonde trembled slightly upon hearing Kesha's words.
Maena was skeptical to leave, but her MTMD rang. When she glanced at the caller, she dashed away like a scared cat while shouting, "Amulet!!! Wait!"
"....."
Yman, Bob, and the others looked with dumbfounded faces. In just a matter of seconds, Almina's group, together with their deities, disappeared from their sight.
"W-well, I heard Elder Paan was a strict mentor towards her students! Not even Miss Ice had the guts to disobey her…" Chloe mumbled.
The others showed understandable expressions after hearing her.
Now, there were only Yman, Rea, Yana, Bob, and Chloe left.
They continued walking towards their next destination, the city's municipality. Yman needed to present himself to register himself as one of the people who have the right to get a share in the dungeon. Almina and the others also went through the same. But since Yman wasn't here at that time, he had to do it now.
Yana was so excited and proud of her brother's achievements.
"Congrats, bro!" Yana shouted when Yman came out of the municipality. With him was a new ID. It also means that he was one of the pensioners in this city.
In this case, he would receive money every month, depending on the total income of the Dungeon.
Although Rea was from the empire, she understood Crimson's achievement. Also, it was common knowledge even in the empire that whoever discovered and secured a dungeon would get a share from it.
The ownership of the dungeon would fall to the city. But if it happened in a country ruled by the royal family, the ownership would automatically be the royal family. The city lord would get a percent and the people who discovered and secured it.
It took Yman an hour to register.
The group continued walking. When they reached an intersection, Bob decided to go first as his dorm was located in the opposite direction. But before he left, Yman called to Bob and handed him a pendant. A ring pendant.
"Bro, are you proposing to me?" Bob asked with teary eyes.
"You want a beating?!
Gulp!
If his bro Yman said it to him a month ago, he would just laugh and thought he was just joking. After all, Bro Yman was as weak as a bug at that time. But right now, it made Bob sweat profusely. Yman's strength now is not something to joke around!
Yana and Chloe snickered and Rea sighed. She never thought Crimson would have this kind of conversation with a friend. He seemed to be someone who didn't care about other people. But it looked like she was wrong. She wanted to know more about him.
"I, I'm just kidding bro!" Bob cried out.
Hah.
Yman sighed.
"Regardless, that item is an Artefact the same as that guy," Yman's head made a slight movement to the side as he said it.
Bob widened his eyes, but soon his expression turned serious. "That guy? You mean… Kiko's lackey?"
When he noticed Yman's nod, Bob's hand that is holding the Artefact quivered. He wanted so much to defeat that person.
However, he realized something. 'Wait, an Artefact? Is that what Yman bro said just now?' He thought then his face slowly turned into a shock.
"B-Bro wasn't this item so valuable?! I can't afford it even if I sold all my kidneys!" Bob shouted that caught the passersby's attention, but soon they continued walking as though they heard nothing.
"....."
"Don't worry, I will give it to you for free," Yman replied nonchalantly, as though it wasn't an issue to him.
"Eh? Are you sure?" Bob could not believe it. After all, Yman was another poor individual in this academy. The other is him. To be specific, the two of them were the poorest students in this academy!
"As long as you give a good beating on that guy, that is good enough payment to me. Hehe!"
Rea wondered why these two sounded so shady. The Crimson she knew had once again shown his true color.
Bob had no idea how Yman got this item. But he believed his bro wasn't the type of person who took someone else's belongings. (Teacher Sistela is grinning in the background.)
"Okay, I will beat him!" He firmly grasped the Artefact. His eyes were full of fighting spirit.
Seeing it, Yman grinned. "Hehe. Okay, First, train how to control it."
"Hehe, I will!"

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Automata Annex
This Fiction is intended as a suppliment to my main title "I was reborn into a fantasy world as a magic robot?! Automata Prime". This is the appendix that would normally go at the END of the book. I will be updating the entries as new information is revealed in the story and linking back here from the author notes. Here we'll explore the world that I've crafted in the book, learn new things about the characters, and get a deeper understanding of how magic works. Think of it as an Automata Wiki.
