"Hah!" Out of a sudden, Rea sighed that caught everyone's attention. "Crimson, why are you wasting your time with this envious lowlife?" Rea suddenly interjected in a stern voice, directly insulting Abel.

Everyone gawked upon hearing her. Almina and the others did not expect that coming from Rea. She seemed to be someone who had a shy personality. And why was she calling Yman Crimson? It is just his codename for the competition. Even Maena and the others find it weird but did not give much importance to it.

Yman noticed Rea's annoyed tone. Not only that, when he glanced at her. He saw her aloft demeanor.

Bob was nodding his head in agreement with Rea.

"E-Envious?" Abel muttered while frowning. No one had dared to insult him before. "What did you say?!" He added while raising his voice towards Rea. 

Veins popping out on Abel's face as he stared at the group with bloodshot eyes. He wasn't afraid of this person known as Yman. He already received permission from Young Master Kiko. That it was fine to cause hassle to this person.

Honestly, he wasn't planning to make a direct attack towards him. Not yet, not now. The academy would blame him for sure and punish him. That's an unwise move. But this girl in a cloak just insulted him! He could not let it pass. It was also a perfect reason to openly show he's antagonistic towards Yman and his group. Right, it would be weird of him if he suddenly showed up and went against their group for a shallow reason. But with this insult, he could use it as his reason to go against them.

'Hehehe, I'm so bright! They fall to my trap! Now, I just need to beat him up!' Abel laughed inwardly after an out of nowhere realization. Even if Miss Almina took this person's side, he had the Young Master on his side too. So not even Miss Almina could do something about it.

"Resonance…" A surge of mana burst out from Abel's body after whispering the word. Then, the winged lizard deity that was resting on his shoulder the whole time glowed and spun three times around Abel before it leaped towards him and fused to his body.

The action of Abel was so sudden and caught them off-guard. Out of reflex, Almina and the others used their hands to cover their faces.

The burst of mana caught the other people's attention who was currently inside the barracks. All of them glanced.

"What was that?"

Said a loiter.

"Trouble?"

"Oh, it's RatSlayer and Miss Almina's party. And who is the other person?"

"That's Abel!" Exclaimed another loiter.

"Abel? You mean the second year who is rumored to be talented but did some shady business?"

"Shh, tone down your voice, idiot!" Warned the other loiter.

"Hey, what is the meaning of this?" Almina questioned. She had no idea who this person was who suddenly appeared from out of nowhere. Though, there were some occasions that she caught a glimpse of this person sitting in some corner of this barracks. Even Yman caught a glimpse of Abel before when he was still actively exterminating rats in the Underground Channel. Though, they never talk even once.

This man seemed to be the same as those normal loiters who like wasting time inside the barracks. But all that image towards him shuttered right now.

A second after Abel fused with his deity, right now, his figure was covered with bluish scales that served as his armor.

"An advanced resonance?" They suddenly heard Maena muttering with wide eyes.

Upon hearing her, they understood what she meant. Advanced resonance was a higher level of resonance. It also gave additional effects. Mostly, those from the second year and third could do it.

Not only the scales, but they also noticed a tail on Abel's back, and his face was covered in the same scale, forming like a mask. Abel looked like his lizard deity.

Not all second and third-year students could achieve such a feat. Only those with great talent and higher Trust percent between the deity and the owner could achieve it.

Even Yman could not help but be amazed by it. Miss Pai already gave a lecture about it. But it was the first time that he saw it in person.

It truly was an amazing resonance.

Seeing their wide-eyed reactions, Abel snorted. Then he summoned dense mana all over his body, it brought pressure to those around him.

Rea's hood was lifted away, revealing her face.

"Puwahaha! The f***! This b**** is so ugly!" Laughed Abel.

Rea's face turned red in anger. She was about to say her rebuttal, but. "Hey! You can't just judge a person's beauty by their physical appearance! It's important to look at their personality as well!" Almina suddenly stepped in front of Rea and said her thoughts.

Her words were outright saying that everyone was beautiful in their own way. She meant well with it, but it had an opposite effect to Rea, who at the moment looked ugly in the eyes of others because of Yman's illusion.

Rea's eyes turned white once again. And her soul was preparing to depart from her mouth.

While laughing, *Thud!* Abel suddenly felt a strong impact on his stomach and sent him staggering back a few steps away before he fell on his butt.

The surrounding mana dissipated and Abel gawked, staring with an empty expression on her face.

'Eh? What had just happened?' Abel thought? Then he noticed Yman's leg stretching that formed a kick. 

'Did this guy just kick him?' Abel asked in mind.

No! It was obvious!

"YOU!"

Abel grunted.

He could not believe that this person just kicked him without a warning!

For Yman though, since the other party already showed his fangs, there was no need for a warning when you attack them. It wasn't an official match in which there were rules and referees. It was a mindless brawl ruled by hate towards each other.

So a warning was unnecessary. It wasn't being a coward. It was through experience in life. If he showed weakness, the others would take advantage of it.

And also, it was easy this way. 

Bang!

Before Abel could stand up, another kick hit the side of his face. The kick came from his back! How did Yman suddenly appear behind that person?! Bob and the others were dumbfounded.

Yman was even faster now than his match with Jugo!

On Yman's neck, a third version ant-model enhanced fire doll was injecting booster elixir into him. It boosts his speed and strength.

Abel was sent flying and bounced on the ground. But before he stopped rolling, a raging punch caught him and smacked him directly to the ground. The ground cracked, but soon it broke and debris came flying. A large pit was created and Abel was lying unconscious in the center of it.

Those who saw it shut their mouths as they stared with wide eyes.

M-Merciless indeed!
