The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 297

"Eh?!"
Everyone saw a figure fly away from the smoke. Then it bounced on the ground and rolled. When the roll stopped, they saw Jugo lying flat on the ground like a lizard.
"It's Jugo?!"
"What happened?!"
Rei-Rei and Sonya exclaimed confusedly. Why was he thrown away again? And how did it happen? Don't tell... that person was still fine? The smoke had slowly blown away, and the stage had gradually become clearer to see.
WWWHHHAAAT!? He was fine even after that attack?!
A late reaction from the shocked audience.
Cough! Cough! Jugo deliberately pulled his body while coughing blood. "Damn, it!" He spat.
After he descended, a strong impact on his stomach greeted him. He had no idea if it was a punch or a kick. Regardless, it was his fault for letting his guard down.
Never did he imagine that person was still fine even after receiving that attack from him! How did he do it? Is he some kind of grass that whenever you get rid of, they come back many? Well, that analogy was kind of far off. But he felt that way about this opponent.
He seemed to be an undying grass, or maybe a persistent pest! "Damn it!" He tapped his knee a little forcefully and push his body up. He peered in front of him and saw his enemy— without even a slight wound or bruise?! He was stunned.
Exactly as Jugo stated. Yman was standing a few steps away from him without even a slight crease on his clothes. In addition, he didn't even look tired.
Is it for real? Jugo asked in suspicion.
Actually, not only him, but everyone found it suspicious. Even the second-year trainees who were watching the current match were starting to question the development of the match. Jugo wasn't a bit weak. He was strong, as one would expect from someone in the elite class.
If there was anything weird in the current match, it's his opponent. Honestly, it was already unbelievable that he succeeded in evading Jugo's relentless and rapid-fire recently. Not even them as second-year trainees could say for certain that they could evade 20 percent of those attacks. Honestly, aside from Miss Ace Ice, only a few of the second year were strong.
Everyone had started to think that there was something wrong with this match. Kiko knitted his forehead. He wasn't even listening to Marco beside him, who was talking at him.

Although he already finished his match and was free to go, he chose to stay as he wanted to see Almina's reaction when that Toadman embarrassed himself.
Unfortunately, how did that man still fine and active on the stage? What kind of joke is happening right now?!
Kiko secretly gnashed his teeth. He was indignant from Almina's reply to his feelings. He wanted to run and hide, but he chose to stay and put on a front that he wasn't a bit bothered by her. Someone like him must not show a sliver of weakness.
There was still a chance to make Almina his lover. Right now, he had to become the man sitting at the top. When that happened, not even Almina Amulet or her family could say no to him. Hehe!
Kiko chuckled inwardly.
On the stage, Jugo noticed his armor broke to where he felt pain. Also, the broken part was in the shape of a shoe. So it was a kick, huh. Jugo thought so.
Jugo faced his palm to the broken part. Then he summoned his mana to restore it. The restoration took him a few seconds only.
He had no time to waste. He noticed his enemy took a black color knuckle and glove from his dimensional storage and wore it on his right hand.
Jugo narrowed his eyes. The action of his opponent, he knew what it meant. He was inviting him to settle the match in a melee battle. Jugo smiled wolfishly. Whereas a pair of long pointed teeth were peeking from his mouth.
"I see, you really have a death wish, huh," Said Jugo. Nonetheless, he was from a prideful race. This blatant invitation, he would never back out against it.
YAAAAHHH!!!
Jugo made a war cry while summoning more mana on his body and hands. Then long pointed nails grew on each of his fingers.
Without wasting time, the two of them rushed towards each other. It only took them a split second to arrive face to face. Jugo did not waste time after nearing his opponent. He immediately clawed him with a rapid swipe from both hands. It was quick and hard to perceive.
His opponent, Yman, countered Jugo's attack. The two exchanged multiple attacks while in each other's faces.
Punch and claws were flying rapidly. All the onlookers were dumbfounded at their speed.

"Wait, is that the same person we used to taunt?"
"S-Strong…"
"How did Yman could fight like that?"
"Is he the same person who always fainted in the training?"
"Eh?!"
The other trainees were astonished at the fight. But they were more intrigued by Yman. Especially that he was the person who used to be the weakest in the academy. Yet, look at him now. He was fighting on equal footing against an elite student. Moreover, it was Jugo. The student with the fastest speed of all the male students.
Also, since the match had started, they never once saw Yman summon his mana. Well, they already knew that he was a person known as Manaless. A person who couldn't summon his mana. Perhaps he was a defective one.
A person who was able to form a contract with a deity would never be a normal person. So, the reason why he couldn't summon his mana was not that he had no mana, but maybe because he was yet to learn how to summon it. Or maybe there was something wrong with his mana output.
A surprise kick from Jugo was able to find its way to Yman's chest. Jugo grinned but soon froze upon noticing that Yman was able to block it by crossing his arms. Though, he skidded back a few steps away.
With a twitching face, he followed with another attack by swinging his claw to Yman.
"Die!" He shouted.
Yman swayed left and right, but he fell short and one of Jugo's attacks hit him on the chest.
"Big bro!" Yana exclaimed worriedly.
"It's fine," Rea immediately said. "Don't worry, he can heal himself," she added.
Right, she once heard from his brother that his first magic was a self-healing magic!
Inside the waiting hall, Almina was tightly gripping her hands in front of her chest. She was worried about Yman, but. She trusted that he would never lose. Even though everyone said he was the weakest in the academy in terms of strength, for Almina, Yman was the most reliable person.
Beside her, the blonde, Maena, was staring at the monitor with great interest. She was wondering how Yman was able to keep up against a student from an elite class.
However, no matter how strong he became, it was still impossible for him to defeat an elite student. The evidence of it was the wound on his chest.
Just then, everyone was stunned, along with Maena, when the wound on Yman's chest disappeared without a trace.
"Healing magic?!" Sunny asked in exclamation.
"Seems like that…" Jack seconded.
"Hmm, that young man... is an interesting person," unexpectedly, they heard Adam Praeter speak.
Sunny and Jack glanced at him and nodded.
Seeing it, Jugo's already twitching face, had a further twitch.
"You cheater!" He bellowed, then attacked once again. This time, he will make sure to end his enemy. A long double slash formed into a huge letter X in the air. But, where is the target? Yman disappeared from his position. The next second, Jugo felt someone prodded his shoulder.
He glanced behind him. But he was greeted by a fist. Out of reflex, he tried to evade it, but it was too late. Jugo was sent spinning to the side like a human propeller.
WHAT!
All the onlookers were dumbfounded. They were staring with wide eyes open and agape.
WHAT KIND OF POWERFUL PUNCH WAS THAT!!!
Everyone shouted in their minds.
"Wait, Chloe, am I dreaming?" Bob wondered if it was a dream. There's no way that his best friend Yman would be that strong. Besides, it was only a month that they didn't see him. So it was impossible for everyone to become that strong in just that little time.
Chloe opened her mouth but did not say anything. She was uncertain what to say. Like the others, she also found it hard to believe. In fact, Chloe already fell silent when Yman evaded Jugo's first attempt to finish him in an instance. She already suspected that there was something different at the current Yman.

The referee Instructor Goki already started counting as Jugo was yet to get up.

Goki continued counting. He was so stunned. How did this supposedly non-fighter type person be able to punch like that?!
