"Hey, don't play with fire in a place congested with people," said the nonchalant man. Not even bothered that he was shot with vermillion flame.

"Regardless, I never thought this place to be so different from how it used to…" then the man said to the person beside him, and they turned around again to continue walking like nothing happened, paying no mind to the dumbfounded crowd.

"Eh?"

"What happened?"

"What the f##k happened?!"

Vermi and her friends uttered idiotically. Those people were ignoring her? How could she let them be? She was puzzled about the disappearance of her attack but. Who cares?! She had more power in store!

Vermi's friends noticed that she was trembling in anger while gnashing her teeth.

The surrounding people were in a furor once again when they saw another vermillion flame was shaping on each of her hands.

"This is bad, Vermi was on the loose now…" muttered one of the guys together with Vermi.

"Don't overdo it, Vermi!" The other one called out. But it was too late.

With veins in her eyes, she leaped in a rush and, "Who said you can leave just like that after what you did?!" She roared angrily and fired two Vermillion Haze attacks. Although she called it Vermillion Haze, it was actually a flame attack.

Sensing the danger from behind him, the man in a cloth stopped on his feet and extended his hand behind him, pointing at the vermillion flames that were fast approaching towards them.

But once again, when the flames contacted him, there was no explosion nor burning. The flames had disintegrated in an instance, turning them into light particles, and disappeared shortly.

"What—?!"

Then again, nothing happened. Her attacks were another failure. She followed another attack. But the result was still the same.

Everyone agreed that this person was truly capable of canceling the vermillion flame.

"Just who is he?"

"How did he do that?"

"I noticed a magical crimson shield in a brief moment whenever he canceled the vermillion flame attack."

The people around were muttering in wonder.

Then, they saw the person veiled in a cloth, he looked at Vermi. "Stop that. Or you will suffer," he said nonchalantly. He wasn't threatening her, he was giving her a warning. "Bullshit!" But Vermi seemed to have no plan to back down.

One of Vermi's friends stepped forward. "Hey dude, you just wanted to walk away after what you've done?" Said one of Vermi's friends. "I'm done saying my sorry. What else do you want?" Replied the man. "Wait! Let me…" suddenly, they heard the girl together with him.

Everyone was looking at her in wonder as she was calmly walking towards Vermi.

Her carefree behavior made Vermi to put down her guard. Then they all gawked when she handed a gold coin to Vermi. "Eh?" Vermi widened her eyes but soon darkened.

"Wh, what do you think of meee! A beggaaar?!!!" She roared and threw the gold coin. She wanted to burn her but. The girl already retreated to the man's side.

Under the cover of the hood, the girl tilted her head innocently. "It's not enough?" Asked the girl in wonder. "I don't think it's about that," the man replied to her.

However, their nonchalant behavior only fueled the anger in Vermi.

More magical energy was coming out from Vermi's body, "Wait, Vermi,'' one of Vermi's friends called out to her.

But Vermi's unstoppable now. "Shut up, Greg!" She bit her lips and summoned a sword from out of thin airs. It was from her Cyber Storage. They were taught that whenever they visited other cities or territories, they must be in resonance with their deities the whole time because no one could guess when the danger would arrive. Especially in a crowded place.

It was also the reason why no flying deities could be seen beside them, but on their neck, a half collar object could be seen.

"Wait, look, there are gatherings of people over there." One of the securities that were patrolling nearby had noticed the commotion. "Let's check it out!" Said his buddy.

"?!"

When they arrived, they saw a girl wielding a flaming huge sword. She was charging hastily towards the two people in shady outfits.

The two security gasped wide-eyed and forgot their reason for coming. Though, even if they wanted to stop them, they were already too late. The girl was already blinded by her anger for having herself embarrassed.

"Stop!" Yet, one of the securities managed to call out. But it was futile at this point. His voice blended into the noise coming from his surroundings.

The girl brandished her weapon with bloodshot eyes but. Before her weapon hit the person in shady attire, "click!" they saw the shady person snap his fingers. Then the next second, something grew from the girl's back.

"What is that?"

"W-wings?"

"Black wings!"

Exactly!

They saw a pair of black wings. They never thought that this girl was so dope to summon such a pair of wings.

Weirdly though, they noticed the bewildered expression on the girl's face after the wings have materialized. Not only that, but she tried to struggle also.

The people around were confused by it. Her friends had widened their eyes as they gawked while staring at Vermi with puzzled faces. They wondered where the wings came from.

But a second later, they noticed that it wasn't a pair of black wings. It was a giant insect! However, it was too late when they noticed it. The surging magical power from Vermi's body had slowly disappeared like it was— being sucked?

"..."

The insect grew in size and dragged her upward. Now she was dangling like a corpse. It was obvious that she was exhausted based on her pale countenance.

In just a matter of seconds, the energetic girl a moment ago was now dangling unhealthily.

"M-monster…"

"Monster!"

"How was a monster able to enter here?"

Some people muttered then shouted and started to panic. Even the two securities stepped forward with their weapons.

To ease the people's misunderstanding, the man in shady attire walked forward and announced that it wasn't a monster but his summon beast.

But still, their doubts couldn't be lifted easily. He lifted his hand to show them that it was obedient.

The surroundings calmed down a little bit, but not entirely. After all, he was more suspicious than the monster itself.

"F##k!" One of Vermi's friends exclaimed then rushed to get rid of him. It was common-sense that in order to defeat the summoned beast, one must defeat the summoner first. Also, he needed to rescue her.

But the man who rushed forward came to halt when the insect threw the exhausted Vermi towards him. He caught her. "Hey, Miss Vermi, are you okay?" He then stared daggers at the shady man.

"How is she?" The other members of their group came to them. "Ngh… I-I'm fine…" They breathed a sigh of relief when they noticed that she was fine and just exhausted.

"Who are you guys?" A blonde with many earrings on his ears asked the man in shady attire.

"....."

They saw the guy scratched the side of his face. "Haha…" Then they heard a wryly laugh coming from him. "Is that a stupid question? Asking someone's identity with this attire?" Said the person as he beckoned on his cloak.

"Exactly!" One person in the crowd suddenly agreed with him. "At least read the mood dude!" And another one seconded. "Right, it was obvious that he was hiding his identity!" And another added.

'What?!'

'Are these people all idiots?'

'Looks like there are no normal people in this city!'

He thought, then forced a laugh. "Ahaha… sorry about that…"

The blonde youth was trying to hide his anger. But his face was twitching. It was clear that he was forcing himself to laugh. A cross-shaped vein was visible on his forehead.

"But…" suddenly, after saying it. The pressure around had started to become heavy. And the blonde youth's eyes had turned cold. A gleam was visible in his eyes.

"...sorry but I can't just let you go after hurting one of my friends..."

The man in cloth fell silent. Seemingly noticing the change in the blonde youth's tone.

"Cri—-!" The girl with her wasn't able to finish her words when he gently pushed her to the back.

"I see…" he replied. Then whispered, "Looks like I have to deal with some shallow-minded people huh," the person in shady attire.

The securities remained on their shaky feet as they noticed that the pressure from their surrounding had become heavier. Unfortunately, they were only volunteers. This blonde was beyond their capabilities.

The people around already on the ground, trying to fight back the pressure. But it was futile.

"I— intimidation…?" One of the people that looks like an adventurer, muttered in disbelief. This ability was a high-tier! Everyone grimaced after hearing him.

"Hehe…" the blonde youth grinned. Then, with a glint in his eyes, he commanded, "Now kneel—" but soon his words came to a halt and stupefied. "Eh!?" The blonde youth stared dumbfounded at the person in front of him.

"WHY AREN'T YOU AFFECTED BY IT?!!" He shouted in disbelief.

"Uh—erm… what do you mean?" Again with his nonchalant attitude, the shady man replied casually. Even his reply was a big insult to the blonde youth's high-level ability, the Intimidation.

Actually, he felt a little pressure trying to push him down. He knew also that the blonde used Intimidation ability.

"Hah!" They heard the man in shady attire sighed. Then he lifted the hood and revealed medium-length messy brown hair. But the person was a handsome young man. "If you mean to use Intimidation, let me show you how it's done," he said calmly.

"Eh?" The blonde youth was dumbfounded. Then he burst to laugh. "HAHAHA! Do you think it's easy to use it? Are you fucking—eek!" He wasn't able to finish his words as he already found himself squatted on the ground without resistance.

"W,wha, what t-the f##k!!!"

All of the people who saw it were at a loss for words.

Who is this person? They questioned in their minds.
