Everyone expected the person to flatten when the whip attack of the monster's tentacle hit the spot where he was lying.

Everyone was wearing grim faces. It was sad to witness one of their comrades suffer such a gruesome fate. But they all knew that on a battlefield, death is doable, especially against such a strong enemy.

"Tsk, asshole! You will pay the price for what you have done to my best friend!" A person shouted and summoned his Artefact. A moment later, after a blinding light, his figure transformed from a plump beardy man into a huge four-winged lizard beast with a plump belly. Although he became huge after his transformation, his size was still three times smaller than the Demonic worm.

Without a warning, from his large spiky mouth, he fired a strong greenish beam to the Demonic worm. The ground shook and the air vibrated because of the power that his attack brought.

Everyone gaped while watching him discharging a super attack. Some tried to stop him but to no avail.

His attack caused the other defenders to be thrown away because they were standing relatively close to the Demonic worm. The pressure of his attack was enough to push them away

His beam attack had lasted about 5 seconds.

"Such a strong attack!"

"Damn it, it's a super attack!"

Everyone exclaimed.

However, they were stupefied when the attack ended. Because aside from the slight burn on the Demonic worm's body, they could not spot any serious damage on it!

They all grimaced upon realizing that the enemy's defense was to that extent. Even a super attack took no damage towards it.

The Senior Leader himself creases his brow. "Betty called some back-ups! We needed some people from the top Rankers." While gripping the slim long sword in his hand, the sweating senior leader whispered to the woman beside him. This demonic worm could not be defeated with power alone. Even their strong penetrative attack could not put a dent in its defense. Perhaps some of the top Ranker had the means to penetrate the monster's defense. This was the Senior Leader's honest deduction of the enemy. After all, that attack just now was an attack coming from a Middle-tier Ranker.

That man was known as Mr. FWL. Everyone thought that the meaning of it was Four-Winged Lizard. But the Senior Leader found out the truth when he followed him on his social media account. The real meaning of FWL is Female With Love! Well, the Senior Leader wasn't a gossipy person so he did not put any thoughts about it. Actually, Mr. FWL was a good singer also. And the Senior Leader likes listening to his song whenever he wants to sleep. Yeah, he wasn't a gossipy person. He just knew that Mr. FWL also had a gender problem.

Betty was about to leave but halted when the man who lost his best friend, aka Mr. FWL, was still not finished. "This shit! I said give me back my darlin-- I mean best friend!!!" (Fuck! I almost got a tongue-slip!) He thought inwardly in embarrassment but did not bother the puzzled faces of the people around him.

When he transformed into a gigantic being, his voice became so loud and was heard by all of the people around him. Everyone who had serious faces a while ago had turned dumbfounded but no one laughed at him as they were in a serious situation at the moment.

He charged forward in haste like a wriggling mosquito egg inside a jar of water. His figure wriggles in mid-air as he was rapidly flapping his four wings. However, "wait!" someone blocked him.

The thought of losing his darling I mean best friend took over his rationality. He was about to make a courageous suicide for the love of his life but a concerned citizen blocked his way.

The person who blocked him has a figure of a cow head and burly humanoid body and a pair of wings on his back. His whole body had seaweed color and his muscles were bulging like impenetrable stones. Seeing the person ahead of him, "Step aside, Cowhead!" With bloodshot eyes, the four-winged lizard shouted. He knew this person. Like him, he too was a Middle-tier Ranker.

The four-winged lizard still proceeded on his charge, but he was like a tiny lizard with his figure crashed into an invisible shield, a large greenish transparent shield materialized in mid-air.

"YOU!!!"

The four-winged lizard, aka Mr. FWL, bellowed thunderously. But no matter how he pounded the magical shield in front of him, he could not get rid of it, especially after discharging a super attack. All of his stats had weakened because of the backlash.

"Listen, Mr. FWL! I don't think he's dead!" Said Cowhead as he was standing in mid-air and his wings were flapping on his back, producing flapping sounds.

Upon hearing him, Mr. FWL stopped and narrowed his eyes on Cowhead. "What do you mean, Cowhead? You saw it, right? When that shit slammed on him!" Said Mr. FWL thunderously.

"If he was dead, then why was there no bloodstain on that pit?" Said Cowhead as he pointed at the large pit on the ground. "And where is the corpse?" He asked.

Mr. FWL glanced to where he was pointing and realized that he was right. "Then where is he?" Just after Mr. FWL asked the question, they heard a loud yell. "What is that?!"

They glanced to where the person was and saw him staring above. Mr. FWL, Cowhead, and the others also glanced above.

There they saw the person who was supposedly dead, on his back was a pair of jet black transparent wings. "Wait! Something was dragging him?!" They were surprised to see a huge black insect on his back, dragging him upward.

Just then, everyone felt something was growing on their back. Then a pair of jet black transparent wings like on that person also appeared behind them.

They tried to get rid of it but to no avail. They soon were dragged to a safe area. However, they suddenly felt weak. They felt their mana was sucked from them.
