The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 221

Yesterday they came to the mountain for the reason of hunting Devourer.
However, something unexpected happened. No, they should have expected it to happen but their mind was so full that they failed to think about it.
Yman remained silent as he was listening to Achan.
She continued saying: "Devourer give birth to worms! Not only one but countless!"
Yman narrowed his eyes. No doubt, those worms were Devourer's offspring.
It seemed like they failed to kill Devourer as it was able to hide. Not only that, its body was oozing with miasma.
"I see, so that is the reason for that miasma on the northwest of the mountain," Yman said.
"Yes! Mr. Crimson sir!" Achan nodded. "And because of it, together with its offsprings, we failed to kill it…" She said with a frown and clenched her hands.
A worried expression was present on her face.
"Please, Mr. Crimson sir! Help us kill Devourer!" Achan asked him.
Yman stared at her while continuing his silence. The young raccoon man named Ran and the Encan girl Lilia were showing worried expressions. They probably worried that he would be going to tell it to the student council or higher council.
A sigh escaped from his mouth. He finally understood Achan's attempt to call him a while ago. Probably, she wanted to ask the same thing that she asked now. A faint smile briefly happened on his face. "In any case, we needed to go back. We can not deal with it without knowing the real effect of the Next Level Elixir you mentioned."
After hearing his words, their faces had brightened up.
"And we need someone's help to deal with it. After all, their number isn't a joke. Most of them had evolved tremendously. Even their power level cannot be taken lightly," He added.

"Thank you, Mr. Crimson!" Achan shouted.
He nodded slightly then summoned his mount bird-model fire dolls.
"Sir Crimson…" before Achan hopped on the black bird Crimson summoned, she called out again to him.
"Yes?" He glanced and asked.
"C-Can you keep it a secret from the student council? Especially from Miss Ella."
Looks like they were desperately trying to hide it. Not even Ella was allowed to know it. They seemed to know her being close to the Student Council.
Anyway, it was troublesome not to tell that girl, and also, he needed her ability.
Yman nodded at her.
They then rode on his mount fire dolls. Lilia and Ran were riding on the other bird. Achan was with him as he needed to ask more things about the current issue.
Though Lilia wanted to ride on the same bird as Crimson, however, Crimson chose Achan to ride with him as he thought that it was easy to converse with her.
Especially that Achan was seemingly the type of person who was easy to read based on her reactions and expressions.
Two birds flew away from the forest and rushed towards the east.
"Crimson bro. There's a monster ahead of us!" Ran warned.
However, before they could leave, in front of them the Adult Mammoth blocked their way. The two birds tried to climb up higher. But with just a flung of the Adult Mammoth's wings, it instantly appeared in front of them.
"So fast!" Achan worriedly exclaimed.
"Let's go down!" Yman commanded and ran to lower their heights.
The two black birds were free falling.
The wind pressure was making it difficult to keep their eyes open.
Even Yman had to close one of his eyes to give much comfort to the other eyes.

When they arrived at the estimated height of 30 meters above the ground, they started to fly horizontally. Yman and Ran strengthened their grip on the bird's whiskers as they increased the bird's speed.
Seeing the two escaping birds, the Adult Mammoth chased after them.
Yman narrowed his eyes as he was wondering that it was chasing them.
Sistela screamed a warning.
"Watched out!" He shouted to Ran to notify him.
The two birds glided to both sides. Just right that after they glided to both sides, a sharp crescent slash made of air element passed by in the middle.
"Holy! What is that?!" Ran shouted.
But he had no time to curse again as another wave of crescent slash was coming to them.
The birds were moving from left to right to evade the barrage of attacks.
While they were evading, the fire dolls didn't slow down it increased their speed.
"Darn!" Ran curses. It wasn't good if one of its attacks unluckily hit them. "Bring it on!" He added and formed a water sphere on top of his palm.
Needle-like water objects had rained towards the enemy when Ran fired it to his back.
The Adult Mammoth used its speed to dodge the attacks.
"TSK!" Ran clicked his tongue when he failed to hit it.
The birds continued advancing while the monster was chasing them.
An ant crawled on Yman's hand. It was clinging onto him to not be taken away by the pressure of the wind.
After it bit him, above his head, spheres of different sizes materialized.
Everyone gawked because they didn't notice that he chanted a spell. Yet, above his head, something had appeared.
Little spheres were orbiting around a bigger sphere.
No doubt this skill looked familiar. It was the skill used by the boss in the Training Pavilion.
His scout bee successfully copied it.
And now, he called it "Galaxial Bomb!"
It was more powerful and more destructive compared to the boss. Thanks to his Black Miasma, he was able to double its power.
Not only that, there were a total of 8 spheres around the bigger sphere.
After he whispered the name of the spell, one of the spheres shot towards the Adult Mammoth.
"!!"
The Adult Mammoth was taken by surprise and was almost hit by it. Fortunately, it had a fast reaction speed.
However, unlike the version of Fish-head boss, Yman's Galaxial Bomb was in his full control.
Another sphere followed up after the miss.
The Adult Mammoth grimaced at the fast approaching magical energy that shot like a sunray.

No, my name’s not Doug. I lied. Waking up in this hospital bed and right away I’m being questioned. They say I’m a hero, saved some girl. I don’t remember any of that. Like the stories you read, a stranger in a strange world where magic and fantasy races exist, but technology hasn’t advanced. It was all just a slice of life as I learned and grew in this world. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6
