The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 187

It was one of the benefits that the resonance brings. The Deity could take over the user's body for a limited time. This kind of shift control could lessen the stress and depression when the user was in a state.
Yman's and Sistela shifted position. However, a second after their shifting, he felt like he was sucked by something and found himself drifting in a black and white world.
Not only that, he could not feel the weight of his own body.
He felt like he was a drifting bamboo tube in the river, letting the current take him away.
After sometimes that seemed like ages ago, he found himself in a vast lake that seemingly liked oceans.
In the middle of the lake, he saw the familiar figure of a soul. "Demon of Position?" Yman muttered upon seeing him. Beneath the demon's soul, a small area of crimson water was surrounded by black and white.
It was easy to distinguish him, as he was the only one that had this bright crimson color in contrast to the colorless world.
"Who is the noisy impudent?!!" The demon roared upon hearing someone talk.
But it didn't falter and even drift closer to it. "Hey! How are you?" Yman called out. He didn't know what happened but it was good to see someone in this lonely world.
"Tsk, you impudent little fly again!" The soul form demon grunted when someone tried to awaken him from a deep sleep. "Eh? Who are you?! You're not that little fly?" But he stopped when he saw a different presence in front of him.
"Little fly?" Yman asked in wonder.
"The little fairy girl!"
'Could it be Sistela?' He thought.
"I see, that voice… you're that kid…"

"Yeah."
"Guehehehe! How did it happen that you are here? Uhm, wait! Look at that soul of yours, are you even a human?" The Demon said in shock.
The soul form Yman squinted his eyes. "What did you mean?"
"Why don't you look at your reflection underneath you! Guehehe!" The demon beckoned him to look below them.
Underneath them, Yman noticed the lake, and his reflection reflected on it.
A black ball-ship soul flickered. "Eh?!" His stupefy expression escaped from his mouth.
"Hehehe! Humans and Demihumans are supposed to have brilliant blue souls. However, you have black. Hahaha!" Laughed the demon. His crimson-colored soul was better and attractive compared to his dirty-looking soul.
Yman was worried and didn't know the reason.
'Could it be because of the experiment?' He doubted.
In any case, there was no good wondering of the uncertain things.
"Regardless, what is this place, Mr. Demon?" He asked.
The demon narrowed his eyes, wondering about the kid in front of him. He wasn't even worried that he has a different soul. Aside from that, how did he arrive here?
"Heh," he scoffed. "This place is your dantian. Or also known as Soul's Domain."
"Dantian? Soul's Domain?" Soul Yman creased his brows. These two words sounded familiar to him. But he couldn't remember where he read it.
"Yeah, it's where your mana was stored."
"My mana? But I don't have…"
"Fool!" Yman was not able to finish his words when the demon bellowed at him. "Look below and see how vast the lakes! My crimson mana was like a little pond compared to it!" Said the demon in an annoyed tone. He could not believe someone with a vast amount of mana was borrowing on him.

This person in front of him was like a greedy noble.
Yman saw the demon pointing to the black and white lake around the crimson lake in the middle.
Could it be the white is from his deity? And the black is his so-called Black Miasma? But whenever he activated it, it changed his appearance and gave a side effect to his body, diarrhea. On top of that! He was leveling so slow.
"How did it happen that you have little mana compared to us, Mr. Demon?" He could not believe that a powerful demon had only this little mana with him. No wonder that experts who saw him would occasionally disdain him when they noticed his magical energy circulating within him.
However, Yman believed that although he had little mana capacity, the mana was very powerful. It was very dense. So it was a battle between quantity against quality.
"Kid just thought of how long I've been fighting against the Ice girl. I can only reinforce my mana in the dark territory. My mana goes little and little whenever you use it."
"Oh I see, sorry about that, Mr. Demon," he said. "Regardless, is there a way to refill it?"
"Hmm….. refill huh, there is. But you need to travel into the Dark Continent. I can only refill mana in that place."
"Hmm….." Yman pondered. But he could not feel any malicious intent from him. Then again he was in a weird form at the moment. He didn't even know how it happened.
"Aside from that, kid. Why you're not using that vast mana of yours, often?" Asked the demon in doubt.
"Ahh, because it's better to use someone else mana than my own."
'How shameless!' The demon thought after hearing him, but he squinted his eyes. Seemingly aware that he wasn't the 100 percent truth.
Probably, the kid in front of him was wary against him. After all, they were in partnership for temporary only. But this kid's mana give-off a bad feeling towards him.
He might as well have to try to woe him to their sides before the destined war would start. He was sent into this world for an important mission. It was for the preparation for the upcoming war.
However, instead of succeeding, he was caught in the battle against that woman.
And now, here he was, sealed inside someone's body. He had to agree to the contract as he would die and dissipate if he could not find a suitable body to possess. That time, he already wasted much of his mana. And his body was kidnapped by that woman.
Sigh!
He was in a bind.

Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello!
