The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 177

After an hour of talking with Seven, Yman was about to leave, but suddenly a group of people came inside the pub.
He went back to his seat and did not move as to not get anyone's attention to him and even holding his breath.
"Welcome--" Seven greeted the newcomers but stopped when she noticed they went directly to where Crimson was currently sitting like a statue. 'Hmm, I thought he already left.'
She felt Crimson was a little mysterious. But it was kind of him to lead her here. Though it's kinda weird that they had to run to come here.
Crimson was stiffly sitting with beads of sweat noticeable on his face and the back of his head.
"....."
She wondered what's going on.
Yman on the other hand though, 'How did they figure that I'm here...?'
Sistela flew and landed on his shoulder. She said in silence.
'Aren't they looking for us?' He replied with a half-opened mouth.
'My Deity, do you mean I am a molester?'
"....."
'It was her fault!'
He shouted while a face of grinning Cinder appeared in his mind.
Said Sistela while turning her scarf into wings to fly away.
(Whoosh!)
But before she succeeded, she felt a tug on her dress.
Yman smiled. 'Thanks, My Deity, but what are you planning to do? Don't we share a strong bond and struggle together? If they put me in jail, you as well will come to me!'
He said with a grin.
Sistela tried to struggle but to no avail. Her partner's grip was too strong. Like a child afraid of losing his new toy.
'Lier! You can't find them in this place.'
(Tap, tap, tap…!)
"....."
The two of them fell silent and froze on the spot when they heard the approaching steps.
(Tap, tap, tap…)
The noisy tapping of their shoes against the tiled floors only stopped when they arrived in front of him.
In the hand of one of them, Yman noticed a paper. The person that seemed to be their leader stared at the paper then darted his gaze at his face.
"Uh, how may I help you, respected people?" He tried to sound as natural as he could when he asked the question while lifting the cup of tea towards his mouth.

He drank it but soon he realized that it was emptied already. He then returned the cup to the table with a blank face.
Regardless, he was innocent! But he didn't know the rules in this academy, so Yman could only act naturally.
"It's him…" the Senior Leader did not even bother replying to his question and directly said it on his face.
Yman gawked. 'These people did not even try to ask if he was the person they are looking for!" He yelled inwardly.
Then, the Senior Leader showed him what was on the paper he was holding.
Yman's eyes turned dots when he saw his face on it. He wondered how they acquired it. Though he could guess who was the traitor who sold him to these people.
He also understood why she did it. That girl did not even put into account what would he feel after this!
'Damn!' He cursed inwardly.
"Mm, what do you need from me?" He asked in a very casual way.
However,
"Take him to the martial court!" Ordered the Senior Leader from the Department of Security.
'What the heck! Isn't it for a serious crime?!'
Yman could not voice out his complaint as he felt that it would only worsen the issue if he did.
And besides, it only makes him more defensive and everyone would think that he was really who they claim he was.
And he was sure that most people here would side with these people who he believed as some kind of law providers.
"....."
He fell silent. He knew it was unwise to go against them right now. And it's better to clear his name as early as possible.
Two people from both sides of him came to lift his arms.
"You have the right to remain silent," said the Senior Leader.
Yman gawked upon hearing it. 'Did I heard it right?' He thought. For some reason, that phrase was familiar to him.
"Stand up!" Yelled one of them.
Yman wanted to say something but he knew that anything he would say at this moment could be used against him! So he remained silent.
He complied and stood up. They then pulled his hand to his back and locked them with something.
Yman felt weird. It seemed like his mana was being locked. He could not use mana?! He was surprised, wondering what it was they used to lock him.

'Anti-magic?' He thought.
Just last night, he was so excited to enter this academy. He was even making an oath to himself that this time, he would be living like a normal student. With a normal life. A very-peaceful every day. But on the very first day. He already caught himself in the trouble.
Looks like he needed tremendous luck.
"Wait!" Before they took him away, they heard a shout from someone.
Yman glanced at where the voice originated, but he knew who it was.
"Seven…?" He mumbled.
"What?" Said the Senior Leader. "Do you know this man?" He asked.
"Uhm, kind of," she replied. "May I know why you are taking him?" She asked.
"This man is a molester!" The woman beside the Senior Leader was the one who replied.
"Betty, stop! We can't disclose any information regarding it until it's proven," said the Senior Leader, but it was too late. The woman named Betty already blurted it, and everyone present inside the pub was able to hear it.
They then started whispering. "A molester?"
"A pervert?"
"Indecent!"
"Please Senior Leader punish that imbecile!"
One after another, people shouted a complaint towards the person they deemed as a molester.
"Hey, are you sure?" Seven, on the other hand, did not believe on the spot.
In any case, Crimson was a handsome young man. And in the sense that he was wearing the academy uniform, he must be from a fine family or clan. So it was easy for him to get a woman if he liked it.
Though, for her, he looked like he wasn't the type of person who has a lust addiction.
Well, that's how she sees him.
"Sorry, sir!" Said Betty. But the bullet was fired already so her sorry was useless.
The Senior Leader nodded at her and glanced at Seven. "No, as I already said a while ago it isn't proven yet," he replied to her.
Although all the people were able to hear him, the stain on his face was already there. Yman knew that most people inside the pub would recall the issue whenever they saw his face later on.
So this molester issue would become like a curse to him.
He was certain that he could clarify this issue. But not from everyone's mind.
She glanced at Crimson and saw him smiled and said, "it was just a misunderstanding…" the people from the Department of Security took him with them after he said it.
Seven sighed in relief.
"It is weird if a Golden Rank adventurer turned out to be a molester," she mumbled. Then went to the kitchen.
At the same time that Yman was captured, Rea and Cinde just entered the main building.
"Miss Ella, I never thought you are that heartless to give his picture to them!"
"Well, I figure it will be easy for us to find him if they caught him," she said. But actually, she was worried that instead of trying to escape, he would find himself in an unredeemable situation later. So it was better to clarify his name as soon as possible. And to do it, they must catch him immediately.
Also, she was worried that he lost. After all, this place was a special place, which most of their higher-tier magic was restricted.
"I see. So you did it just to find him, fufu. I feel sorry for him."
"Said the person who was the cause," said Rea while side-glancing at her.
"Eh, ah-erm, it's not on purpose."
The two of them went and entered the main building. Both of them were able to gather some looks.
Most of them greeted Ella, while the others were curious about Cinde.
Some of them even asked if she was a new student.
Cinde on the other hand was fidgeting. She was so anxious about their stares at her.
"Are you okay?" Rea asked.
"I'm not an outside person."
"What… how did you live this whole time?"
"By curling inside my room…"
"....."
Rea was speechless with this girl.
"Hmm, I remembered there was a student who was absent since the first day. Could it be you?"
(Nod, nod!)
"....."
She wondered what was the cause of her sudden going out from her cave.
Cinde noticed a look of pity from Miss Ella.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
