The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 102

A piece of long plump flesh rapidly shot out from the deeps of the swamp towards him.
Without waiting for it to hit him, he evaded it by leaping to his right. The thing that shot him hit and bore on the grounds.
Yman narrowed his eyes, "Bingo!" He whispered upon seeing the thing that attacked him.
"Looks like my guess was proven right — A Mutated Kraken!" He yelled and took a sword from his storage. Then he hastily summoned crimson mana from his hand and enveloped the sword.
"Right," he replied.
Yman abruptly threw it towards the tentacle. The sword traveled the space and hit squarely on the tentacle.
The tip of the sword pierced on it. And the red text -5,000 Hp was visible. "Dang, it has high defense!" Yman exclaimed.
Sistela's astonish voice rang in his ears.
"On top of that, it's just a tentacle!" Yman added.
The tentacle showed a health bar with 95,000 health points.
The tentacle twitched for seconds then hurriedly unburied itself from the ground. Yet another tentacle shot out rashly.
Sistela shouted a warning.
"Mhm!"
He jumped in the air to dodge. It was followed by a loud ground-crashing sound.
While still in the air. Yman perceived another tentacle coming out from the swamp. No, it's two! Without wasting time, before his body started to descend, he summoned mana on his whole body.
The two tentacles constricted to each other and formed like a massive drill. Then it shot rapidly towards its enemy in the air.
Seeing the drill-like tentacles, any normal human or slightly weaker magician would probably wet their pants at the moment.
However, Yman's body disappeared before the drill tentacles hit him.
The drill tentacles hit empty air.
He reappeared to his position from the last few seconds. His feet landed on the second tentacle that was still on the ground.
"Yeah, it is not the result I want it to be, but I guess for now it is the only I can accomplish," he replied with a tinge of relief and a little disappointment.
His body teleported to the place where he was standing in the past two seconds ago.
Anyhow, this was the perfect execution he had ever made — no noticeable time lag, kudos to the demon's mana. However, it only let himself transfer within the past 10 seconds ago.
Looks like he needed more practice on it.
In truth, what he wanted to create was a skill that enabled him to do a 'Mock Teleportation'. Although it seemed like he teleported, in actuality, he only did a Time Warp - a kind of time traveling from the past seconds with the assimilation of time and spatial coordinates. It's a failed Mock Teleportation but a good start.
His feet landed on plump meat of the tentacle with a meter thickness.
After his successful execution of Time Warp, the crimson glow dissipated. Then his right hand briefly glowed in crimson. A moment later, the sword that was stuck on the first tentacle suddenly disappeared and reappeared in his hand.

Without wasting time, Yman did a horizontal slash to the tentacle under his feet.
The 1-meter thick tentacle was cut. This happened in just an instant. Only 5 seconds had passed but he already cut one of its tentacles.
The tentacle twitched and he immediately leaped down to the ground.
In his vision, he noticed the damage -25,000. The damage was a lot higher because he applied more strength on his attack.
Yman narrowed his eyes and noticed that the damage would increase depending on the force he applied when he attacked. Thanks to the demon's additional stats, he now had superhuman strength.
However, he narrowed his eyes towards the cut tentacle. Because the health points did not empty.
It then twitched furiously.
Sistela's voice was heard by him.
"I see," after he replied, just as Sistela said, the cut part had regrown.
Yman grinned because the health points remained 75,000 health points.
"Heh, so I need to empty his health points in order for it to stop regrowing, huh," he whispered.
The other tentacle had 95,000 health points left. And now it rapidly whipped towards him. Yman leaped backward and successfully dodged it.
Then the newly grown tentacle followed after. Yman evaded while twitching his body, it passed at him about 5 inches from his face.
His perception rang a warning when he noticed a malicious intent from above him. He took a quick glance and saw the drill-like tentacle fast approaching from above him.
It was followed by a loud bang when the drill tentacle hit the ground. Yman's body disappeared and reappeared in the mid-air using his Time Warp.
When he was about to throw the sword in hand, "Eh?" Yman paused, he noticed that it wasn't in his hand.
He glanced at where he was standing a moment ago and saw the sword was lying on the ground.
Seemingly, what's not with him that time when he was in that position, would never be there when he did the Time Warp.
Since, when he leaped in the air a while ago the sword was still stuck on the first tentacle at that time. So when he reappeared in the mid-air once again the sword was not part of it. It then dropped on the ground when the one holding it suddenly disappeared.
Without wasting more time, a spear materialized in his hand. This was the same spear he bought from Mister Smith's smithing shop.
He then threw the spear and pierced deeply to the tentacle with 75,000 Health points.
-7,000 hp was subtracted on it. Now its current health point was 68,000.
Yman disappeared from mid-air once again and appeared beside the drill-like tentacle. Right after he disappeared in mid-air, another tentacle shot out from the swamp and pierced the space where he was supposed to be a split second ago.
The fight continued with him disappearing and reappearing.
In his vision, random numbers were appearing rapidly. It was the damage he dealt with the tentacles. The battle was chaotic. The more he widened his area, the more advantage in maneuverability he had.

The enemy seemed to be puzzled by it. Then a moment later, its tentacle was cut one after another.
This presumptuous human invaded his territory!
In the deep of the swamp, a pair of fierce eyes had vexingly opened. Then black ink splattered out from its hose-like mouth.
Yman noticed the ground was trembling. The tremble even reached the nearby town, as many people went out of their houses and glanced around.
"What happened?!"
"A quake! There's a quake!"
"Run! Get out of your houses!"
Many people were gathering outside and asking the other people around who also had no idea of the situation.
"Hey, look!" One person pointed at the forest.
Everyone glanced at where he was pointing. All of them frowned when they noticed that he was pointing to the direction of the Cursed Swamp.
"The heck!"
Exclaimed one of the people around when he saw something shot and trailed towards the sky.
"What is that?!"
"A pillar?"
They saw a jet black object rapidly climbed towards the sky.
A moment later, it suddenly disappeared. Like nothing in there in the first place.
"What happened?"
"Where does the pillar go?!"
Then, OOOOOOOOHHRRGGG!!! They heard a loud howl. And it caused the lowly beast and animals to fly and scuttered away.
Everyone covered their ears as they screamed in pain while holding their heads.
In the battlefield, Sistela asked worriedly.
"Yeah, somehow. But that dude spits awfully," he said in a frown.
She was surprised.
"Don't worry about it," he then used his Time Warp.
"?!" He was surprised, it didn't heal his wound. Yman squinted his eyes. Looks like it can't regain back what he lost. It affected the time, space, color, and texture, but it wasn't able to return what was not there. After all, he needed to envelop the object with his mana for it to Time Warp in the past.
He sighed.
"Ah— no-nothing haha," he scratched the back of his head using his other hand.
The wound was throbbing but manageable by him who had a high tolerance for it.
Apparently, the DIP would do something about it. But it was awful to fight with an arm, so he decided to heal himself using his healing ability.
Said Sistela.
"Yeah, any continued attacks or attacks with longevity is no good to cancel," well, he was happy to learn it. However, it surprised him. He managed to cancel it, but he almost got himself KO.
'Looks like I have no choice, the enemy's health points are 450,000/500,000. My damage in this state is only a little above my normal one. I have to use that form again to double my stats. This territorial beast is just too OP. Although I have my way of evading its attack, my stamina will be the first to drain apparently,' he thought.
After that night, no one knew what exactly happened, but due to the few hundred witnesses, "around 11 pm at night of the 11th in first month of Autumn, in the Cursed Swamp area, they saw some giant tentacles trying to catch a mysterious person who was floating or leaping in the air while his body was enveloped by black energy. Sometimes a big pillar of a black object was shot towards the person. But he managed to avoid getting hit without moving. The next second they saw him, he was producing a huge ball of pure energy. The inside was like brilliant crimson that was coated in black.
After that, the person threw it, then the world seemed like it was going to end as the Flamingo Town and any relatively close towns and cities shook terribly. Some poor-made houses fell down. One of them was the closest inn in the area. But the next morning the inn owner and the owner of the houses got compensation from an unknown person." This was what was written in the report.
In the morning,
Some people brave the forest and visit the said Cursed Swamp. But what they saw astonished them.
The swamp was gone, and what was there in exchange for it was a big crater, and in the middle was a giant corpse of a monster similar to an octopus.
Everyone believed that the goddess Htraerea sent her knight to bring justice and end the Cursed Swamp.
Some people who happened to take a photo of it earned a massive amount of money when the mayor of the town personally bought the picture to be drawn by the Best Artist in the place. It would be a good tourist view when times come.
1111 of Autumn,
"The Mysterious Black Knight slaying the humongous monster with massive tentacles,"
Such words were written underneath the big painting.
But the person who was the cause of it was crying at the moment. He had to compensate and now the money he kept for weeks of doing extra missions had gone like smoke. Even the money he earned from selling the items he got from Kraken was only enough to compensate for the many establishments he destroyed.
He felt a little conscience whenever he thought that some people would lose their houses. Because he suffered just the same.
Never would he have imagined the effect of that modified attack was that strong. And it was his first time using it! He applied the same principle on how Kiko did his invisible land mine.
It was probably because of that demon's mana.
And since the inn where he was supposed to be staying had been destroyed, he had to find another place to stay.

Zeroth Knight re: Dawn
Isekai, fantasy, with the core themes of Identity and Fate. Story contains a, mostly, lesbian cast. Updated twice a day. Evangeline Sayagawa makes the ultimate choice at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice: She decides to leave her world that she fought so hard to return to, and return to Arsea in hopes of saving everyone. Little was she aware of just how bad things had gotten. The world she was returning to was cast into chaos and on the precipice of being destroyed. She awakens in this new kind of Arsea, after having witness the end of a dear friend. The world now belonged to the monstrosities of old, the Beta, and their corrupted human warriors, the Eld. With her fake identity, that which defined her in this world, being stripped from her, she now has to navigate a darkness in which not even the women she loves recognize her. This is book 2 of the Evangeline Sayagawa "Zeroth Knight" story, with book 1 being found here. The first "chapter" posted here is a hyper-condensed version of volume/book 1, in case anyone needs a generalized refresher of events, or for those who wish to start with this book instead as it is faster paced and more action-packed than the first one. Suffice to say, but most of the details from book 1 are lost by doing this; however, enough of the more-important information is present to allow one to understand the general idea of what is going on. This book features a mostly lesbian cast and deals more so with fate and crises of identity more than anything else. However, there is much more action in this one than any of my other stories thus far and brings about the end of Evangeline Sayagawa's story arch... sort of. I have another story up, a short story drama with light yuri and supernatural themes: "Escape The KNIGHT" Share the story if you think it's good. And please rate some stars and leave reviews guys. It will help encourage other people to take a chance with the story and get to know this wonderful journey with us. Also, a friend has made a Discord for the "Zeroth Universe" if anyone wants to join and hang out to talk about the stories, theories, or just general fun chats with us! https://discord.gg/f3Bc4TR Follow me on Twitter @Ozefen0 to stay up to date on my stories and what have you.

Dismissing Darkness
Out amidst the stars, far past the point Earth appears as a pale blue dot, a human spacecraft plunges forth towards new and exciting worlds. The passengers know they are never going home, not after the lengthy journey ahead of, and to a lesser extent behind them. They while away their time frozen in body and plugged into a simulation in mind waiting for a new planet to explore and colonize. Still, space is a place large enough for a surprise or two as our protagonist, the underqualified Mike Jackson (no relation) is soon to find out. ~~~ I will be posting chapters here and on my wordpress blog-thing, hopefully within minutes of each other multiple times a week. Currently on hiatus. If I get back to writing this one, it will be after I tweak it to make it feel less like an empty world with too many extras in the background.
