The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 74

Everyone who was watching the present fight has no way of hearing the conversations between those people who were in battle. Most of them just pushed a thought that the reason why the person wrapped in dark blue cloth couldn't hit the person in black was probably he just wanted to send a warning shot. The video was taken from 50 meters or more — away from the scene, so none of them knew exactly what they were talking about.
On top of that, their faces were hidden behind the hood. In this regard, the spectators could not read their faces' reactions.
Yman glanced at the sun above while also in full alert towards the enemy.
He said in mind—
|Hm. The sun couldn't be seen as it was hiding behind the clouds, huh. But I believed that currently, it was hitting the angle of 3 o'clock pm.
Gazing below at the front, My enemy gnashing his teeth like some kind of angry beast. With his eyes peeking under the hood were staring at me with doubt? Wariness? Scared? Or loathe?
Such emotions from this person.
These are the same emotions I used to wear before. Or maybe until now. After all, that's what makes humans a unique creature.
Honestly.
I'm always 'doubtful' of my decisions and every action I made.
I'm always 'wary' of my surroundings and the people around me.
I'm always 'scared' of what comes tomorrow and the future.
And 'loathe?' Yeah, I loathed all the people who were living luxuriously and still not satisfied, then snatched what a person living in poverty has.
Moreover, I loathed everyone who tried to take my only family away from me.
Regardless.
Seems like this person in front of me was wondering why his attack could not hit me. Probably, he started to think that something wasn't right. That something was amiss.
I was staring at him attentively while secretly scattering my Black Mana around and was stealthily invading him through every pore of his body. Then a flat-screen appeared in my vision. This flat screen was different from the usual screen that usually came out whenever I summoned it at my normal state.
Now, this screen was having a dark theme. Like it was made intentionally to match up with my mana.
The screen displays my enemy's data about any oscillation of mana or any activities happening inside his body. It was giving me a report that a dense gathering of mana was happening inside.
Under the mask, my mouth extended into a wry smile.|
"Don't get too cocky, bastard!" Lighter roared at the top of his lungs; more fire was coming out of his hands, combusted like magma.
He screamed out.
Splashing Flame Wave!
Without wasting time, a barrage of flame was fired to Yman's direction. They were shapeless flames, unlike fireballs. The enemy was insanely splashing them to him like a madman that had lost his bearings.
Bang, bang, bang...!
Loud explosions erupted when the flames hit the target. Everyone who was watching from different parts of this world showed a grimace when they saw his silhouette engrossed by the flames, obstructing the viewer's view on him.

"Let's go, let's rescue them!"
"Damn, I don't have a transport bird!"
"Tsk! Just rent!"
"Are you nuts! Did you forget where the rental station is? It is located at the east gate! If we go there now, it will already be too late when we come back!"
"You guys are already too late! Look at the screen!"
Many junior trainees in the barracks of Zone 7 Academy were in haste to find a way for them to rescue Jun's party. However, they froze when they saw that the enemy sent a barrage of flame attack and hit the mysterious person in black.
At the forum, Kiko shook his head as he commented, "What an idiot that person. Acting mysterious and cool but getting himself killed on the spot. Haha!" He cackled. For some reason, an image of that detestable person appeared in his mind.
His laughter reverberated inside the auditorium.
His friends beside him also shake their heads and sighs. They even thought that that person in black had a cool entrance, but reality showed them that it was not only how cool you look like. You needed strength also to back it up.
Almina knitted her brows at Kiko's remarks. Wondering if this guy was cheering those clearly bad people rather than the person who clearly came to save those juniors of their academy. She sighed and focused her gaze at the monitor, but for some reason, she felt a weird feeling of uneasiness when she saw the person exuding black smoke receive the relentless attacks.
All of them were wondering what were those black smoke coming out of that person's body. Maybe some kind of trick? They don't know or they were not sure what to think of it. But it seemed already late for them to wonder about it because that person was probably dead already at the moment.
Most people were already expecting a charred person in disguise. They were even shaking their heads of why that mysterious person just stood still on his feet without moving and was receiving relentless attacks of such a degree. It was clear just by seeing it from a distance, that those attacks were no ordinary.
Splashing Flame Wave was part of high-level spells and that person in dark blue cloth executed it well. It was clear to everyone that he was no ordinary magician.
The spectators who were currently watching the scene shook their heads and sighed in dismay.
Jun saw that the fight wasn't in favor of his situation. He was puzzled why this person had to meddle then let himself be killed sooner. Probably, he was charred already. Looks like that person who uses fire was not serious in his shot lately. Jun was not sure if he could defeat him in a one versus one duel even when both of them were in a top condition.
Those flames he was firing were just too destructive.
He must do something! He needed to escape while the enemy's focus was not with him. Gripping the hilt of the rope once again, he hastily maneuvered the bird to distance himself. No matter what, he needed to save Sylvia. The Peon bird fluttered its wings in haste as per the rider's command.

At the distance, he saw Sierra being pincered by two enemies. She tried to struggle but he believed it was only a matter of time that they would catch her.
Lighter did not even notice he sneaked away as he was busy raining attacks at the meddlesome person in front of him.
In some of the academies, some people were watching the battle wide-mouth open, some frowned; and some were entertained by it.
"Hahahahaha! What a spectacle, look at that flame, the way he was controlling his flames was by no means weaker than most of our sophomore magicians. I wonder who these people are. Are they from a rebel group? Or some sort of organization?"
A boisterous laugh broke the silence inside a room with a 50 square meter width. A man was crossing his arms across his chests and having the demeanor of a young noble person. He was sitting in front of the long oval shape smooth wooden table that one's image reflected on it. He commented as he was watching the battle that happened in one of the Human City — the Human City Zone 7.
He has trimmed short milky white hair, round face, long pointed nose, thin lips, square jaw that oozes with manliness, fair white skin, and short pointed ears that most Encan people have.
"I do agree that the battle was a good show. But I'm sorry to disagree with your assessment of that person, Son of Baron Elsen Senrod — Nicholas Senrod, that he was by no means weaker than our academy's sophomore magicians.
After all, we in the Encantasia Magic Academy are the strongest Magic Academy. And our magicians are of such high prestige compared to the other academies. Don't forget that we are the blessed children of her grace, the goddess of nature Htraerea(He-ra-ya)." Firmly asserted by the person sitting opposite to the person named Nicholas Senrod.
He has middle length blonde hair, droopy nose, thin lower lips, monolid eyes with azure pupils, hearty shape face, and like the guy named Nicholas Senrod — he also has short pointed ears.
"Haha, fair not, Son of the valiant General Beleggor Gorthalion — Jura Gorthalion. I didn't mean to degrade our magician's prominence. You see, I'm just jesting."
Again with a hearty laugh — Nicholas cleared his meaning with the words he had been spoken lately.
"Is that so, sorry to misunderstand you then, son of the Baron, Nicholas Senrod. Nonetheless, I am more intrigued by that person's black smoke thing. However, it looks like it was too late. That person likely turned into a crisp already." Jura Gorthalion said as he brushed his blonde hair using his hand and leaned his back on a chair.
Before Nicholas could open his mouth again, a female voice came ahead of him.
"Oh right, Nicholas Senrod, Jura Gorthalion, I beg to the two of you to turn it off already, we cannot waste our time watching at some academy's predicament. Nonetheless, the princess is coming." Sternly said the female sitting at the opposite end of the oval-shaped table.
She has straight long blonde hair, an emerald green pupil in her almond eyes, oval lips, small Nubian nose, cute triangular face, and the same as the two male — she also has short pointed ears.
Currently, there's a total of 9 people sitting around the oval-shaped table. All of them are the chosen Elites of the Encantasia Magic Academy.
After hearing the last line, Jura and Nicholas become excited.
With a can't be helped expression, Jura flicked his fingers. Then the holographic monitor screen on top of the Receptor Plate located in the centermost of the table immediately disappeared.
Honestly, none of them was bothered by those individuals who were fighting in the far city. What they were more concerned about was their academy's matter. They needed to win in this year's competition. They could not let some outsiders dominate the ranking and took more resources from this world.
Shortly after turning off the screen, a young beautiful girl walked inside the room. She has snow like long hair and also with short pointed ears. She was a peerless beauty that every male inside the room could only stare at her with mouth agape.
Everyone inside the room immediately stood up and greeted her.
"Welcome princess!"
Jura and Nicholas already turned red. They bowed slightly towards her in a more gentleman mannerism they could present themselves.
The princess nodded at them in a dignified countenance and said, "Let's start."
In the battle,
"Gyahaha! You're dead! See! You're dead!" Lighter broke into a guffaw after a barrage of flaming attacks towards the enemy.
In just a matter of seconds, the smoke caused by his flame's explosions was cleared already.
Yet, the expected results were contrary to what was standing in front of him.
"Hehe! So this is how this channeling ability works, huh. Now I understand a little bit." Yman mumbled after the smoke from the flame explosion cleared out.
His body was covered by thin layers of Black Mana. He modified his healing ability and used it as a shield. So after receiving damage from Splashing Flame Wave, it was automatically healed. Although, he had to suffer from experiencing pain repeatedly, being a lab-rat was more than enough for him to be used to this thing called 'pain'.
He noticed a dumbfounded enemy in front of him.
"What? How the fuck you're still alive?"
Not only Lighter was dumbfounded, everyone who was expecting a bitter result also did.
Kiko on the other hand felt he choke himself and shyly glanced at Almina who was standing not too far from his right. Good thing that she wasn't paying attention to him. But for some reason, he dislikes this person in black.
"I guess, it is my turn now." Everyone felt a chill when they heard his voice. Shortly after saying this.
His silhouette disappeared and, *Shing!* A head flew.
