The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 63

Bob who was drenched in sweat ambled towards them.
Yman remembered that he owed an explanation to Bob from yesterday's call.
He decided to tell him the truth.
"Oh, so that's what happened? Man. I thought you hit your head so hard and lost your sense of talking. Ahahaha!" Bob laughed with hands on his waists and his deity was sitting like a boss on his shoulder.
'Ahhh, here he goes again!' Chloe thought. The reason why she did not choose to cancel her resonance yet was that her deity was calling Yman with rude names. Yet this Bob was a classmate of Jazz! The two of them wantonly opened their mouths without thinking if their words might irritate someone.
Yman, who already knew Bob's way of talking let a sigh depart from his mouth. He was not affected by Bob's way of talking though, and just laughed at it. He thought that Bob was already beyond help.
"A-Aah, Yman....."
And suddenly he heard Chloe's seemingly tense call. He glanced and asked her if what's the matter.
"You know. I-I heard that we will have a mock duel in today's training." Chloe said while darting her eyes from side to side. Honestly, she just wanted to change the topic. Good thing she managed to find a subject within her mind.
Yman was surprised by what Chloe said. He felt a bad premonition about this duel.
Almina who was walking towards one of the training platforms noticed Yman who was busy talking with a girl with short blue hair and a physically fit guy at about 20 steps away from her.
Suddenly she heard stepping sounds from behind her and glanced.
She saw the blonde fixedly staring at her. She narrowed her eyes and shortly returned her gaze to the training swords lined on the table.
But...
The blonde showed a disgusted expression then opened her mouth and called, "Almina Amulet!"
Almina glanced back at the person calling her name, "What you want, Maena?" She asked while raising a brow.
"Let's settle our score in today's duel." The blonde girl named Maena Hex declared in a cold voice.
Almina smiled with a glint in her eyes. They both staring at each other eye to eye. Like a goddess of death and heavenly goddess.
"Hey, bro, look look! The beauties are facing each other. Kuku. What a sight to behold!" Bob dubbed at Yman and pointed to the direction of Almina and the beautiful blonde. Not far from them.
|Hm, what a sight indeed.| Yman as he thought. He wondered if the two girls were going to face each other in a duel. He was having this vibe towards these two that they both saw each other as rivals.
They must have had some unsettled score from their childhood days at Elite school that the smiling dude mentioned to him a while ago.

Before Almina could accept her challenge, "Wait, wait, wait, best friend, let me handle her!" Kesha rushed to Almina's side and declared to challenge Maena by herself.
She really wanted to challenge this beautiful blonde who seemed to have had some grudge towards her best friend. Although this blonde was seemingly strong, Kesha wasn't afraid of her. They both were a member of the Elite trainees. So she believes she stands a little chance.
"Guys, guys, look, the goddesses were going on a duel." Some random dude in the area started which caught the attention of other trainees around.
"Really?"
"It seems!"
"Wohooo, interesting!"
"Let's go!"
And so the crowd suddenly gathered and formed a circle around the girls. On timing when Instructor Goki together with three other instructors and some well-dressed people arrived. About 7 people in a well-dress came with the instructors. Seemingly some high officials in this academy and this city.
"Ahaha. Look how spirited our newbies are. I wonder what they are up to." Said one of the well-dress people. Wearing an ash-gray polo suit. Paired with black pants and shiny black shoes. The person was having a wide forehead and fatty belly. With slight mustache on his round face.
"Hm, you are right Mayor Chan. But I came here to watch the said kid with genius-level talent in magic. The young man of the Sun family." Seconded by a middle-aged man wearing a military officer suit. With badges hanging on his chest. This man was the military chief stationed in this city.
"Fufufu. Then lets the fun begin." Principal Mar Mari stated and beckoned on Goki.
The other people with them are probably these high personnel's assistants.
Goki's brows twitched upon noticing the gathering of trainees.
"Formation!" Instructor Goki demanded in a shout.
The crowd suddenly dismissed in regrets as they rushed into their formation forthwith. They lined in their usual rows and columns formation.
Goki, who was wearing a black cap, a black t-shirt that paired with green military pants and combat boots, walked in front with his hands hidden on his back.
He stepped back and forth from side to side, seemingly examining the trainees.
About 15 seconds later...
"Alright, as I already announced in advance this morning, today's training will involve a mock duel. Each of you shall participate. If you have someone you want to challenge just state the name. Each of you could only challenge in a duel one time. So choose your partner wisely!"
He stopped and scanned each of the trainees. He nodded when he noticed that most of them were full of fighting spirits. Except for one though. Goki just ignored that specific one, after all, he was not the fighter type. More or less, he was the weakest, although he felt bad for him. Actually, the higher-ups just announced it on the whim about having a mock duel in this morning's training because some high personnel would be coming to inspect the newbies. He finds it unsuspicious, so why not.

And that is how this mock duel was decided on a whim.
He just hoped that no one would choose to challenge that little commander. And let him be.
He would give an exception for him. Not because he disregarded him, but because he felt sorry for him.
Yman felt a chill, like someone just thinking bad at him. Or maybe felt pity at his situation. Really, this duel was bad news for him. Someone like him, who was hated by many, for certain, most of the trainees salivating to embarrass him in this duel.
After all, some high officials are here to watch. This was the perfect time to embarrass someone like him.
As expected, a group of trainees were having wicked smiles at the moment. Kiko's eyes glinted in excitement as he thought, 'What a great chance.'
Yman's face twitched. If he knew that something like this would happen today, he would choose to be absent in today's training.
By the way, how come he got no news about it yesterday? Maybe it was announced so early this morning?
Hah! He could only let a sigh escape from his mouth. Well, he was a little excited too. After all, this was only a mock duel.
Since it was a mock duel, for certain, they would stop the duel before it got out of hand. So this duel would probably be beneficial to him too.
"Instructor Musk, Instructor Torr, and Instructor Beth will be the judge of today's mock duel!" Goki added.
"Fufufu, this is going to be exciting. Too much hype." The woman instructor named Beth stated as she stepped forward and licked her red lips.
Most of the male trainees suddenly felt a burning aura within them.
She looks elegant in a navy blue dress outfit that she wore at the moment. Red lips and light makeup summed up with her waist-length wavy brown hair.
She was oozing with adult demeanor. And a faint smell of expensive perfume carried by the wind towards the trainee's twitching nose holes. Most of the male trainees salivate at her voluptuous chest. With their eyes turned into a heart shape, like some dude who was under the effect of love potions.
Although she was not as pretty as Almina and the blonde, she had a womanly charm that was unique to her.
A sunflower-like deity was floating beside her. Every time the deity moves, the petals around its body rotated.
"I wonder if the young man from the Sun family will join this duel?" Instructor Torr added.
He was a towering man. Stood at 6 feet and 5 inches. With stone-like muscles and chest that seemingly made of stone; topped-up with a plain military green shirt and paired with military fatigue pants. He was wearing combat boots on his feet.
Then a long slanted scar on his left eye that add a seemingly first impression that this guy had already taken many lives before.
The trainees immediately gulped and went into deep silence. Scared at the towering man in front of them.
A crow-like robotic deity in full black color was nesting on his broad shoulder.
"Oh my, you really are a detestable person senior Torr. Look how you chickened out our newbies. Kukuku."
A man in a straw hat and was chewing a piece of tree branch spoke sarcastically as he took a step forward. Two slim single-edge swords were hanging on his waists.
And a panda-like deity was resting on top of his straw hat.
These three people were the instructors that will be the judge in today's mock duel.
"Hmpf!" Instructor Torr just scoffed at Instructor Musk remarks.
"Okay, everyone. Make a 50-meter radius of empty space!" Instructor Goki commanded in a whole loud voice.
The trainees hastily made a circular space in a radius of 50 meters as the instructor required.
When everything was set, ironically, the first who stepped forward was the girl with lavender hair that tied in a ponytail, it was Kesha. And she demanded to challenge the blonde girl, Maena Hex.
Maena wanted to challenge Almina, but she was not allowed to refuse the challenge.
The two girls were facing each other in the center of the round empty space after choosing their weapon of choice.
5 long tables were placed around to act as the ring or boundary. The guest officials and judges were sitting in front of some of these tables. And on the other table was placed the different kinds of training weapons.
Instructor Goki stepped in the middle of the two girls. He would be acting as the referee.
"The rules of these duels are just simple. Whoever hits their enemy 5 times will automatically be announced as the winner. The duel will be stopped if serious damage was dealt with with your enemy.
You can't choose to give up either since the judges will judge you through your statistics that can be seen inside a thin transparent magical widescreen(Holographic Screen). Your vital will be displayed in there, so only they had the power to decide if when to stop the duel..."
After the long announcement of rules, the duel finally started.
Maena's weapon of choice was a bow and a quiver full of arrows. While Kesha chose a shield and a magic-based pistol.
"What a wise weapon choice," Yman commented.
"Fufufu, what a cheeky girl." Keremi, who was at his back, suddenly stated, but Yman did not know who he meant by it.
RESONANCE!!
The two girls shouted at the same time. Immediately, their body was enveloped by the brilliance of green.
Twang, twang, twang!
Three arrows flew successively towards Kesha.

It started with flashes of light appearing from nowhere, quickly escalating into his whole world becoming an absolute mess of flickering pixels and chaotic color flows, as if reality had become a malfunctioning glitched screen. Before he could even start thinking about how both mesmerizing and absurd this spectacle was, however, it all stopped, as suddenly as it had begun. Accompanying the end of this unique show, 2 things happened.
