Yman narrowed his eyes. Even though this Evil Rat managed to avoid the ball-web traps, the smoke abled to hinder its vision.

He summoned his strength and sent a stab to the leaping Evil Rat.

-30 HP in the red text was visible in his vision when his stab was successfully landed on the Evil Rat's jaw, which followed by squeaking noises from the Evil Rat when the tip of Gladius sword dig in about 3 centimeters in its flesh.

|20 defense!| Yman quickly calculated the enemy's defense based on the damage that he dealt it.

He has 20 attacks and an additional 15 from the resonance with his deity and another 15 from his Gladius sword. It was 50 in total, but he only managed to take 30 of the monster's health points. So Yman reached the conclusion that this monster had a total of 20 defense.

He already thought that this fight would not be an easy fight. But... he could manage somehow. After all, his deity already at level 3.

The Evil Rat fell on the ground with back first, which followed by a loud thump when its back slammed on the ground. Another -5 HP in red text floated above the monster's head, but this only visible in Yman's vision.

He about to follow up with a slash attack but stopped when the Evil Rat's body was twitching even it was still lying on the ground.

He noticed the wound he dealt on it, it's visible on its jaw. But not so big.

The Evil Rat was at a hand-reached distance only, he back stepped and change his weapon into a 2.5 meters spear without waiting for the Evil Rat to regain its control.

The Evil Rat abled to flip his body and now on its four limbs. It blinked its eyes while shaking its body, perhaps it was trying to clear its vision.

A moment later, its vision seemed to clear up a little. It stared at him with fierce red eyes.

But what greeted it was a silver pointed edge of a spear that was hastily approaching on its forehead.

The dizzy Evil Rat had no time to react.

Chaaaaaap! Such a sound of piercing the flesh and skull has been heard by the attacker itself after the pointed spearhead pierced into the Evil Rat's head and into the ground.

The Evil Rat did not die on the spot. It was twitching and tried its best to free its body. But the spear was well-anchored its tip in the ground and was seemingly preventing the Evil Rat to free itself.

The Evil Rat's health points were slowly decreasing as more blood was dripping from its body.

This spear has an additional 30 attacks and a 5 percent penetration force. It was also a good weapon for mid-ranged combat.

After a minute, the struggle stopped and its body was seldom heaving high and low. It was deeply breathing as its health points reached in a critical condition. When the red in its bar emptied, the movement also stopped.

Yman has no time to read these notifications. He noticed the entangled Evil Rat finally freed itself from the ball-web traps that he planted. This trap had a limited time of effectiveness. He originally wanted to stab its side while avoiding its attack, but he figured out that it was impossible for his speed to do it at the moment.

He's not so agile enough to land a hit at the moving target who rushes at full speed. And he was not in a good spot to do it.

The claws of its four limbs skidded and were drawing a long line of scratches on the ground when the Evil Rat missed its tackle attack.

It used its front limbs to turn its body while skidding. When it stopped at 5 meters distance, it was already facing at him.

Yman also was facing at it with caution.

They both rushes towards each other at the same time like in sync with each other and was having the same thought.

He noticed that this one was much faster than the other one that he killed earlier.

Yman knows that he would find himself at the disadvantage if he chose to wait for the attack to come.

He needed to accumulate force while rushing to counter the full brunt force sent by the Evil Rat.

Ting! Such high-pitched sound was heard by them when the poisonous two front teeth of the Evil Rat met the Gladius sword in Yman's hand.

Both of them were sent back from the force of the collision. Yman staggered back, while the Evil rat was thrown back and was flipping its body in mid-air to maneuver a safe landing.

Yman's hand trembled slightly and was seemingly numb: "Dang! As expected, this rank D beast really had quite the strength!" He whined.

He heard Sistela's exciting voice.

|What this deity saying?| He thought.

He then rushed again towards the enemy who already rushing towards him with its large pointed mouth dripping with poisonous green saliva.

When they neared at each other, swoosh! Yman slashed the sword downward but hit empty air.

The Evil Rat was able to leap to its right before the human enemy's sword landed on its dark blue fur.

After the successful evasion, the Evil Rat sent a tail whip that landed on his back. Yman was sent 5 steps at his front. And his front was slammed on the ground which his body skidded on the ground.

-125 health points had subtracted from his green health bar. He promptly pushed his body to get up immediately. Even though his back was still aching from the whip attack, he could not wait for a follow-up attack that would be coming from the monster.

But before he could stand up,

"Ha?" He doesn't know whether to laugh or cry at this warning.

He hastily glanced in the air and saw the Evil Rat was maneuvering its body like it was dancing. A moment later, he noticed that the Evil Rat's front leg was shining. He gawked in disbelief with eyes opened wide. Yet, Yman felt something bad was coming. So, he quickly dove to avoid.

The inside slightly shook, and Yman stared dumbfounded at where he was laying just a second ago. Now, there were spiderweb-like cracks. And in the middle was the Evil Rat with the body that enveloped by brilliance.

Sistela screamed out.

"Oh, my god..." he subconsciously muttered.
