The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 27

While they were approaching the Mustang Spider, it suddenly twitched.
"Yman Bro, are you sure we have a chance to kill that?" Bob anxiously asked Yman.
Yman narrowed his eyes and said,
"Truthfully speaking, there is a low probability that we succeed. However, no one knows what the outcome will be like. Hopefully, everyone will follow the plan."
"Che!" Kiko spat at Yman's words then he ran towards the Mustang Spider without waiting for the leader's command, he's right hand created a fire that was slowly forming a circle.
A moment later, a fireball as big as a volleyball was dancing on top of his hand. Then he threw it towards the Mustang Spider without a second thought.
The fireball did not travel in a straight line. It was spiraling in the air as it fast approaching the Mustang Spider.
This was the fourth ability of Kiko. That he used to hit Yman back on the Outerworld when he was fighting the Pale Toad in the pond area.
Everyone was surprised again to see another ability from Kiko. Looks like he already learned 4 ability before the real training even started. Such a genius!
Kesha nodded and muttered, "his really cool, very opposite to that shameless person."
But...
SCREEEEEE!!!
The Mustang Spider seemed to sense it. It sent an ear-piercing screeched.
"Damn this dude is too zealous. This is one of the variables that may change the outcome of the battle! And ruined the plan."
Yman muttered.
Every one of them felt dizzy. And their speed, everyone felt they become slower than before.
He originally wanted to throw stone first to the Mustang Spider to avoid scaring it. Although he was not sure about it since this was also the first time he saw this monster, based on his teacher, that monster like this tends to activate its passive ability when it senses its life was in danger while they were asleep. And the fire was the most dangerous element for this bug type monster.

Although it was huge and enormous, the bug still a bug no matter how anyone sees it. And most of them were afraid of fire!
Now, it was too late to think, "Now, attack!" Yman shouted. The others rushed towards the huge Mustang spider.
Seeing that the leader of the group was standing far behind the others. The other trainees trash-talking him.
"Shit, what that shameless idiot doing? Why he didn't join the fight?!" A trainee with narrowed eyes angrily spatted an insult.
"Damn, look at that, he was not even bringing his deity with him!" A girl with a star on her eyes pointed.
"So he was just tricking the others! Shameless! Tsk, tsk." A boy with a mole on his mouth said knowingly while shaking his head.
"I bet his afraid!" A girl with glass stated.
"Tsk, why did the instructor let him join that fight he was just leaching with the others." A girl trainee with pigtails hair regretted.
"Hey! You bitch! What are you standing there dumb-shit?! One of the trainees with a skinny body and curly blond hair shouted.
Yman wanted to talk back but he wasn't that kind of person who easily bothered by these types of taunts.
He already masters the ability of Skin Face level 100, Thick-skinned level 100, Snob level 100 and etc...
While watching the unfolding battle, he was thinking that...if only being shameful would make someone stronger, for sure, he would become the strongest magician in no time.
He would ascend into divinity or demonize, was it? Welp, whichever of the two.
He noted that Almina was the fastest among them all, although, their speed was decreased from the monster's passive ability. But the decreased in speed wasn't noticeable in Almina. She was raining attacks using her fire sword. Poking the enemy while quickly dodging the incoming counter from its spear-liked legs.

Even the audience from far behind was cheering for her.
Based on what Yman noticed at her, she was changing spots, and every spot that her attacks landed had different damage dealt with the enemy.
|Wait, did she know where the weak points of this monster?| Yman asked himself. Although, it was only his guess.
Next was Mai, which surprised Yman the most. He never thought that this girl would be the type who fought in melee. Based on her feet that were covered in a magical glow, and in monster form, her magic must be transformation type.
And that transformation increased her speed.
Sometimes she jumped and kicked the monster whenever an opening presented. Although, her damage was not great, but still considerable. She could also jump higher than the rest.
Yman envied their ability.
The third with the fastest speed was the guy with closed eyes and a smiling face. For some reason, he looks like he was toying with the monster. He goes in without weapon in hand and then awkwardly dodge whenever the monster attacks him. Which causes the other trainee who was watching from the distance to laugh.
Yman was wondering if this guy serious or just wanted to play as clown.
the blonde girl did not join the attack. She was standing beside him while watching the fight ahead.
"Uh-uhm...miss, why you are not helping?"
Yman asked while forcing a fake smile.
"....."
He was snubbed...
"A-Ahem...miss?" he cleared his throat and called out.
"Shut up..." she said coldly.
"....."
"I'm a leader."
He said.
"I don't care." She replied.
"....."
Yman was speechless.
"But miss—"
"Stop bothering me, I don't like talking to someone I don't like. Although I save you petty life before, that is because the principal asked me to do it. And don't expect for a second time. I don't want to waste my energy in saving weaklings like you."
And again, she said coldly at him.
"....."
Yman was thankful that she save his petty life before, together with Almina. But why does he feel — she was rejecting him?

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
