The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 26

Almina and the blonde girl seemed like there was some kind of rivalry towards each other. This is what Yman suspected after noticing their brief staring contest.
Both of them were fairly strong. So it was just natural that each of them saw the other as a rival.
He decided to ignore them. After all, he was an unrelated person. He would be thanking Almina and this blonde girl later if he got another chance.
Anyway, he noticed another guy with the principal and Miss Blonde.
But Yman did not recognize him.
He had a suspicious smiling face. Yman stared at him. But it seemed like he noticed his gaze and glanced at him and smiled.
|Even his eyes were closed?| He was surprised seeing the guy had closed eyes. Even his deity was laying on his head, seemed like, having a lazy life.
The principal beckoned to Instructor Goki to let the youngsters handle the monster. After all, if they could not produce results this year, the academy would be finished.
Instructor Goki doesn't like the idea since that monster's strength wasn't a joke.
Yman understands Instructor Goki's worry. After all, that thing was so big and it looked fierce.
But after saying that the two trainees with him were from a foreign country and each was strong. Goki felt curious.
In the end, he agreed to the principal. He was praying that nothing bad would come out.
Yman was surprised when Goki called him and asked if there's really a chance to defeat the monster.
He honestly replied that the odds were 30-70%. And that if the instructors joined the fight, it would be 99-1%.
He reminded him that the instructors could not join the fight. Instructor Goki pleaded with him to behave and not do things that might harm his companions.

Yman scratched his face and wondered if he was really that bad from other's perspectives?
When the instructor Goki announced that Yman would take the command, Kiko was furious.
He wasn't expecting to be under that person's command. For him, they don't need him.
The other trainees who heard them were murmuring, saying that the instructor Goki favored that waste person more than Kiko.
The blonde girl also disagrees with having him as their commander.
Yman did not expect that even the beautiful blonde girl would disagree with him as the commander.
Her reason was, she doesn't like being directed by a weaker person than her. For some reason, Almina was angry at the blonde girl and called her arrogant.
Well, Yman understands her arrogant behavior though. She had the right to be arrogant since she was strong.
He was just hoping that they would stop calling him weak already. Since it was not his fault that he was born weak.
He already did all that he could, in order to get stronger, but the reality was cruel.
The more he thought about it, the more reality reminded him that he was born a weak person.
No matter what he did, he was only a little stronger than a normal person.
He even trained himself every day, but still, the gap in strength between him and his peers becomes wider.
On the other hand, that other guy was just smiling with closed eyes, without saying anything. Yman was wondering when this guy would open his eyes.
Kiko becomes more furious when Almina agrees to Yman as the commander.
Although Kiko was furious, he could not change the instructor's order. He tried to ask the principal but the principal shrugged it off saying that it wasn't important who would take the command.

You just needed to do your best in fighting the monster and kill it when a chance presented itself.
Goki disagrees with him. In the battle, a fine commander was needed. Even with how strong the soldiers, if the commander was an idiot, there's a big chance for failure.
Finally, Yman would take the lead. He went back to his carriage and asked the others if they wanted to join the fight.
At first, they were skeptical, but after he said that they could get some rare materials and that they could gain huge points, Bob excitedly agreed.
Bob agreed but he said that his magic type was body strengthening and that he was only at the base of it.
Yman said that it was fine as long as he could block the monster's charge for once.
Bob nodded.
Next, he asked Chloe. She said that her magic was materializing a shockwave. And that she could only use it once daily, since like Bob, she was also at the base of it.
Yman thought for a while and asked her about the impact. She replied saying that it could lift a van but not completely sure.
He smiled and nodded.
Mai also joined them, but Brai chose not to go.
Yman already has the gist of the magic that Kiko, Almina, and blonde girl had. But he hopefully wished that Kiko invited his friends.
To his dismay, he did not. Maybe because Kiko was not the commander.
Yman thought this was bad if Kiko decided to mess up his strategy.
He tried asking the smiling guy, but he just smiled at him and did not answer.
And that blonde girl, he was sure that she would not follow his order fully.
He was having a headache thinking of them.
When the group was ready, Yman explained to them what to do.
"Miss Almina, sorry that you have more tasks assigned to you."
Yman said his sorry to Almina beforehand.
"Tsk! If you feel sorry, then get lost, you jerk," Kesha mumbled.
Chloe, Mai, and Bob frowned after hearing her words.
Almina seemed shy from her best friend's words. She bowed slightly and said sorry to Yman, in her best friend's stead. And she said that she would do everything she could.
While Almina was talking, Bob was having a happy face surrounded by flowers. Bob thought. Not only Almina was beautiful, but she also had a warm voice and a good personality. Unlike her friend.
The other trainees were watching in the distance together with the instructors and guards from the empire.
While they were approaching the monster, they noticed Yman without his deity. They asked him, but he scratched his face and told him she was with his sister.
"You have a sister?!" The others seemed surprised to hear him having a sister.
Yman nodded. He noticed Almina was glancing at him. But he chose to ignore it. It was embarrassing to be stared at by a beauty.
He felt anxious and might lose his focus in the fight.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

At The Precipice
Defenseless. Scared. Alone. That describes the life of Brock Carter as of late. Following his ‘death’ at the hands of a vicious magpie, Brock is rescued by the machinations of the newly instated, all-powerful System and thrust knee-deep into a brutal world catered only to the strong. Fluctuating between two states of being and trapped within a city ravaged by time, he is told to either seek out the mysterious ‘Source’, or die trying. He just hopes he can do it without scuffing his expensive suit in the process. ***** Honestly, I've just always wanted to write a story. I had a crack at it a few years back, but the entire thing fell apart before it even began. At The Precipice was originally written as a way for me to destress and play with System elements and characters, but eventually I decided that if I was gonna write, why not post it too? Writing's just a hobby of mine, so don't expect this to be at published novel level, I guess, or even anything of relative polish. Updates every Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs-Fri Average chapter length is 2000 - 3000 words ***** What to expect: - A semi-comedic/light tone, mixed in with a gritty world and brutal survival (not ever grimdark though) - An MC that thinks about what he's going to do and why he'll do it, even if his internal logic is lacking. Is a rather rational person, not often influenced by his emotions, but can be in extreme situations. - A plot heavily focused upon the MC, but one that will branch off to envelope the other characters in the world at times. Often, it's just other people's perspectives of him. - A story of power growth. While the MC is certainly going to be powerful, even over 100 chapters in from what I've written, he still isn't the strongest being on Earth, let alone the entire Multiverse. - Lots of gore, vivid fight descriptions, and often times deaths of people, some even somewhat important to the story ***** Things this story will never have: - Harems - An edgy, villainous MC - An MC that does jackshit about things for 'plot reasons'

How to have fun in an apocalypse (Rewrite)
After spending an unsavory amount of time in hell, our protagonist finally manages to escape the place that had kept him captive for so long... again. Unfortunately, even after plotting and planning for years, he ends up in a place not much different from the burning and agonizing Tartarus he once had to call home. Guts, blood, and carnage start to reign over Earth as soon as he set foot in it, much to his dismay. What use is it to cry over spilled milk, though? Tired of the monotony of endless torture, he steps into the world intending to have as much fun as possible. While others might try to raid the Orc Lord with as many people as possible, why not challenge him to an arm-wrestling tournament? The power of friendship will surely be on his side. Why hide from the big, bad wolf in one of your houses if wearing camo in plain sight should have the same effect? Now, making friends and going on adventures would be perfectly fine, if it wasn't for the fact that he hides a few more secrets than one might think at first. This is a complete rewrite! Due to being unsatisfied with the previous version, I have decided to work the story up, beginning from the older chapters! Version 2.0 includes: - enhanced writing and editorial skills - additional information and aspects to characters - minor deviation from storyline and improvements
