The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 24

While the carriages traveled, they encountered many other monsters along the road. But the soldier guarding them handled the monsters with ease.
It looks like they were professional in handling the type of monsters. Maybe these monsters were common in these areas.
Yman noted a specific monster with a metal-like body and crawled with 16 legs. It looks like a spider but different in some way. Since a spider has 8 legs, whereas, this monster had 16 legs.
The soldiers said that it was a hybrid monster known as Mustang Spider. Its colored dark green skin was as hard as steel. The soldier requested to change the route. Not even they could manage to kill it with ease. They might be able to kill it, but for sure, some of them would fall victim to the monster.
That monster was rank C+. Monsters in this rank are also known as 'Wanderer'. Because they usually wander around the place, hunting for enemies. Every time they kill their prey they become stronger. And they had the ability to summon mobs of the same race as them.
"Why, I think we can deal with it. If me, Ms. Almina, and the other girl with blonde hair ganged upon it there is no way for us to lose."
Yman heard the voice of Kiko shouted. It looks like he wanted to fight that monster that even the professional soldiers wanted to avoid.
|This Kiko is really a no-no.| Yman thought and sinisterly smiled when something came to his mind.
Then he went down from the carriage.
Bob and Chloe were puzzled at Yman. They were wondering why he went down the carriage.
"Yman, bro, where are you going?"
Bob asked.
"Nothing. Just, wanted to have a little walk. My butt hurts caused by sitting for long," He replied.
"I - I see," Bob said.
"Hehe," Chloe chuckled.
Yman continued walking towards the voices. Ahead of him, he saw Kiko and an instructor talking surrounded by guards from the empire.
"You can't, that is a very dangerous one, Kiko, we don't want something bad to happen to you lot before arriving at the academy."

They suddenly heard the voice of Instructor Goki replied to Kiko.
Kiko and the instructor glanced at him. Kiko was about to open his mouth…
"I also wanted to try fighting it, Instructor Sir." Someone suddenly intervenes from behind. It was Yman.
Hearing his voice, many of the trainees suddenly looked at him from the windows of the carriages. And suddenly bees-like murmurs enveloped the area.
"That idiot again?"
"What an arrogant person!"
"(Facepalm) This toxic guy again."
"....."
|Looks like, my popularity hit the peak, huh. Although, not in a good way.| Yman thought to himself.
Kiko narrowed his eyes to Yman while furrowing his brows. He wanted revenge on this guy who humiliated him at the first test. If not with the help of Almina and the other beautiful girl, this Yman already rotted on the ground.
"Pwe!" Kiko spat. In his mind, for sure this Yman wanted only to leech at them. And there's no way he trusted him.
"How arrogant of you, Froggyman! You wanted to help, huh. Pwe! You don't even have damage against a weaker monster. And now, you arrogantly stated that you wanted to help to fight that rank C+ monster over there. Pwe!"
Kiko shouted at him. And he sent a smile to Kiko disregarding what he said.
Yman glanced at the monster. It was currently sleeping on its web house that was blocking across the road, about 150-170 meters away from them. It had the body that as big as 3 vans joined together.
The monster was sticking on its web house where its head pointed to the ground, and it's butt pointed to the sky.
Its dark green color body had yellow linings on it. On its broad back, the markings of black formed like a demon skull tribal.
Its two eyes were closed. And the 16 legs that were sticking on the web were like pointed spears that could pierce even a metal.
But one thing that interested Yman was its lustrous web. It looks like some kind of durable wire. He could find some uses of it in the future.

The way it was blocking the road, it was impossible for them to pass. The only solution was to fight it or to find another route.
Not just that, he also noticed something, something was entangled by a web beside it. It was encased by its web, like how the mummy looks like. It looks like this monster caught its prey.
Instructor Goki narrowed his eyes at Yman. He couldn't care less about this person anymore. Goki already had a gist of what kind of person Yman was.
In fact, his damage was too low, he only has 1 damage at the monster of rank C. What's more that rank C+. For sure he would have zero damage against it.
He was thinking of how this young man did not traumatize from what happened to him in the last battle.
He certainly could not read this specific young man. He has a fine resolution of a good fighter and wits of a wise general, but, his downside he had no mana, had weak strength, and low potential.
And this young man would not think twice harming the other trainee. So Goki would not let it.
"So-Sorry, but whatever you guys said I won't let..."
"I also wanted to fight it, Instructor Goki."
He was interrupted by a female voice that sounded familiar to all of them. It was from the beautiful Almina Amulet.
The other trainees looked at her. They also wanted to see her fighting again.
Because she had a fighting style that was good for their eyes. They really were idolized not only for her beauty but also for her way of fighting, which could only be described as elegant, and as she moves — she looks like a swan on the tranquil swamp.
So they are looking forward to her next fight. And they were curious how she managed to one hit those golems from their last battle! Which every one of them who participated had difficulty killing it.
Some of them also wanted to see the mysterious girl with blonde hair. Especially boys.
And some girls wanted to see Kiko fight again. His Earth-Crushing Technique was very intriguing.
The one person they don't wish to see was that shameless guy, Yman! They wish he buried himself on the ground like a mole.
This person really wanted to spread its toxicity like viruses.
And now he wanted to fight alongside Almina and Kiko. What a shameless bastard!
They wish the lightning strikes would hit him and burn him like charcoal.
Yman scratched his face. He could feel the negativity of the people around him.
After Almina interrupted Goki, Kiko was very happy, more on when Almina showed up. His beliefs about her liking him increases. It looks like this girl wanted to fight alongside him. He blushed while glancing at her.
He saw her staring at the instructor Goki with resolve in her eyes.
Yman glanced at the back where the voice of Almina came from. She was standing about 7 steps away from him. She stood elegantly.
|She is like blooming cherry flowers. Or like a drifting white cotton cloud on the blue sky, that is hard to embrace. Or someone like unreachable.|
This is what Yman felt when he glanced at her.
"Sorry Almina but not this time. That monster was way beyond the sum of your strength."
Goki was part of the Amulet family. He was from their branch family and a subordinate of her father.
That's why he couldn't care less about letting the carefree behavior that might cause harm to her.
And he won't have a full trust towards Yman. What if, he did something that might hurt others again.
"Instructor Sir, I think we have a high chance of killing it," Yman stated.
Goki furrowed his brows. He could not find a tinge of lies in this young man's eyes. Wait, could they really kill it? But that monster was way beyond their strength. Even the soldiers are afraid of confronting it.
