The Mysterious Black Magician Chapter 16

Yman hastily kicked the ground to distance himself. He noticed that the monster was trying to use its hand-blade, the same thing did by the monster that Almina fought a while ago.
It swung its bladed hand to the right side to where Yman was. But he already retreated at a safe distance.
The bladed hand made a swooshing sound when it pierced through airs and it missed its intended target.
Fuh! Yman let out a sigh of relief after successfully dodging the attack.
Sistela curiously asked him. He smiled bitterly at her words.
Yman gasped for breath. "Hmm...it's not just about winning..." he replied. He could not sum up why this deity of him opened her mouth without realizing if she was hurting someone through her words. And that someone was always... HIM!!!
This deity is so mean to him but good at her sister. They was even treating each other like real sisters.
Yet, the other deity of the other magician was so fond of their owner or partner.
'If it was only a chatbox, I had already chatted, 'Yman left the group...' he thought.
She said at him like a granny saying...' hah, good grief, what a child.'
He doesn't know if to cry or laugh at her words.
Suddenly, Yman knitted his brows.
"Loop huh, hmm...loop...loop?— fufu perhaps..." he mumbled.
'Wait, loop?' He thought.
"Hmm...maybe—I can take down some of these monsters if lucky..."
Even if Sistela wanted to ask him. But she could feel that he was serious with his words. After all, she could feel what he felt. But, how would he do that? Somehow, sometimes she could not read her partner's thoughts.
"Tsk, now you are trying to use my sister, huh!"

"Hehe." He sneered.
"Now you are acting bossy, huh!" He said while running towards a trainee fighting not too far from him.
Nonetheless, he noticed the monster rushing towards him.
Yman doesn't know if what was the name of these monsters. Above their head, only the health bar in red color and the numbers inside it were displayed. Above the red health bar, the three question marks could be seen.
Since their system deity was from the earth above, the monsters registered on it were limited only from the monsters on earth above or Outerworld. So the monsters in this world were unknown to the system deity.
Yman suddenly stopped but his feet skidded on the ground. He positioned himself where his back facing the back of the person behind him.
That trainee did not notice him. Now Yman was at a 2-meter distance from that trainee who was fighting the monster evenly.
Sistela doesn't know what her partner was trying to do.
The monster that looks like a mini golem was chasing after him while carrying a boulder.
The golem noticed the human target stop running while facing him. When it reaches at 10 meters distance from the human enemy, it directly throws the boulder without a second thought.
Sistela screamed seeing the huge boulder being thrown towards them. It was as large as a wheel of a ten-wheeler truck.
If this hit them, the damage would be huge. After all, Yman was level one only and has lower attributes. He only has 2 points on his vitality.
Even Yman could not help gulping saliva seeing the boulder growing bigger and bigger in his vision as it rapidly flew towards him.
Seeing Almina fight the monster a while ago, it seemed like it was easy to deal with. But in reality, what a huge mistaaaaaake!!!

'So that's why many trainees choose to give up, huh!' He thought.
Nonetheless, the spectators were holding their breaths seeing the unfolding fights.
They already expected that this boastful person would flatten himself. And that's what he got for being an idiot.
Tsk!
Kesha clicked her tongue while thinking, 'idiot! That is what you got for being a show-off even though you have no talent. Kuku, do you really think my friend would fall at you? You wish!'
Beside her, Almina was clenching her hands in front of her chest while trembling slightly.
"Be careful," she whispered.
"???" Kesha heard her. But to whom she said it? To that person? No way! She thought that Almina just wanted that person to humiliate himself. But, was it really like that? Now Kesha doesn't know. Maybe she just misheard her.
WOAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!
WAAAAAATCH OUUUUUT!!!
A sudden yell by the people around them disturbed her thoughts.
Bang!
-250 hp
Gyaaaaahhhh!!!!
A person was thrown away after he was hit by a bulging boulder.

Death, Aralt realizes, might be the greater mercy. ---------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect: Character-driven Plot Novel Pacing (which I accept isn't typical for serials) Elaborate Worldbuilding (you gotta pay attention) Soul-bonded Swords Sentient Wolves Longish Chapters What Not to Expect: Litrpg (sorry!) Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
