Rebirth Of The Queen Chapter 52

"Xue Ning, call me Xue Ning, Sir, thank you again," said the girl, who bowed her body a little lower.
The old man just nodded his head and turned to jump to the boulder where he had previously been.
"What are you doing hanging around so late at night?" he asked again after successfully seating himself up.
"I was looking for my Older brother, sir. But got lost," replied the girl and then came closer and sat on the small rock that was next to the old man.
"Where do you come from?"
"Parqus village, sir," she replied again
The man was silent for a moment as if he was thinking about something, the name of the village sounded very familiar to his ears.
"Where is it?"
Xue Ning was silent, didn't know what to answer, would it be okay if she told everything to someone she just met? Even though that man had saved her from the magical beast's clutches, it wasn't enough to dispel the doubts in her heart.
"Well, if you don't want to tell me, you can come with me to treat your wounds, this place is dangerous for people of one level like you," the man offered, Whatever will be, he could not bear to leave a girl with wounds like that alone. It seemed that he had to temporarily suspend search Fu Xie Lan.
"Even then, if you want," he added again
"Thank you," Xue Ning replied, she didn't know the direction of the way back to where she lived, losing track of her Older brother made her almost become the magic beast swarm's dinner. Accepting the old man's offer was the only option that was best for her.
"You come closer."
"Hold this," while stretching out the hem of his robe and handing it to the girl, Xue Ning simply complied, the pain of the bite mark on her leg made her steps falter a little.

The old man then tore the paper that was pulled out of his shirt pocket and disappeared.
.
.
.
The two of them appeared in front of a one-story building residing in the phoenix academy.
"It's here, don't worry. This is the phoenix academy to be precise in front of the house where I live."
Every teacher or elder who teaches in this place is given the living facilities that have been provided by the academy, including himself who is the dean of the phoenix academy medical faculty.
Xue Ning did not answer and only nodded.
"I am Huang Bao, people call me Elder Bao," said the old man introducing himself, as if he understood what the girl who called herself Xue Ning was thinking.
The two of them then headed into the house, Huang Bao with anxious feeling because he thought of Fu Xie Lan, while Xue Ning was worried. She certainly didn't forget everything her brother told her after running away from this place.
.
.
.
Huang Bao slowly opened the door, found a student sleeping on his living room chair making his brows furrow faintly. It seems that the student is not alone. A young man he recognized then walked out of his room and closed the door slowly, seeing that figure suddenly made him immediately run and approached him.
"Young master, young master, Fu Xie Lan ..."
"Shhh." The young man's forefinger pressed against his lips.
"It's okay, now she's inside, sleeping," he whispered and then passed Elder Bao. Hearing that someone she was worried about was okay made him let out a sigh of relief.
Wan Lie's steps faltered when his gaze met Xue Ning, the girl who helped them a while ago.
"You?" said Xue Ning pointing at Wan Lie.
Meanwhile, Wan Lie did not respond and only watched the girl from toe to head.
"What happened? Why are you looking so messy?"

"Do you know each other?" The two of them nodded almost simultaneously, and then Wan Lie told Elder Bao a few things from a witch who used form-changing magic and Fu Xie Lan who treated the poisoned villagers. While Xue Ning only occasionally chimed.
"Xie Lan did that?" Asked Elder Bao confirming his hearing, if it was true then he would have become very stupid for not guiding the girl from the start. Now that some of his questions were answered, it turned out that Xie Lan wanting some herbs a while ago was not a coincidence. But the girl did have some medical knowledge.
"Then what happens?" he asked again.
"Nothing, because we will immediately return to the academy because Xie Lan is very worried about you," said Wan Lie.
He was very lazy to tell at length, but if he didn't tell everything maybe the old man would come back to pester Fu Xie Lan with all his questions when his mother was awake.
Hearing the Wan Lie words made Elder Bao's chest rumble, for the first time someone was worrying about him, and it made him feel a little moved.
"Hmmm, well wait a minute." Huang Bao got up from his place and walked over to the several shelves that contained the herbs and several pills he had produced and then took out some of them.
"Put this on the bite wound," said Elder Bao handing the potion he had transferred to the bowl to Xue Ning.
"After that, drink this that pill only relieves pain, not for healing," He added, according to Wan Lie's story, Xue Ning must know how to treat her wounds.
"Thank you again, Sir."
Huang Bao only nodded.
"I'm sorry, young master, because of my negligence," said Elder Bao, bowing down.
"I've said it many times, don't call me that. Just call Wan Lie, I like it more. And just be normal," Wan Lie protested.
"Stop slouching like that," he added, taking a glance at Xue Ning who had started cleaning her wound. Elder Bao's treatment was so conspicuous and he didn't like it.
"I-I'm sorry, this old man often forgets," replied Elder Bao.
"Um, don't repeat it next time."
"Alright."
While on the other hand, Xue Ning who was treating her wounds heard everything very clearly. Several questions popped up in her mind.
'Who is that young man?'
'Why should the elder who should be respected call that young man as a young master? by bowing too?'
'Looks like he's not a student in this academy and it's clear that this young man is no ordinary person.'
Various questions popped up in her head, but all she could think about was to keep to herself because according to her she had no right to know the lives of other people.
The pain that she had previously felt gradually disappeared, even though she had just finished dousing the wound with the elixir that Elder Bao had given her, It turns out the rumors are true. The potions and pills that came from the Phoenix Academy were extremely potent.
"Ah yes I almost forgot," Elder Bao's voice made her hands stop when she wanted to put a pill into her mouth.
"Those pills, drink at the same time as this potion, wait a moment," he said then returned to take a greenish potion to give to Xue Ning.
"Thank you," replied the girl and then did everything the Elder instructed.

Leaves of Terranthir
DISCONTINUED - I won't be writing more of this fiction. Check out the latest post for a worlbuilding summary / final thoughts. Leaves of Terranthir is a gamelit blend of ARPG, action, fantasy, and slice of life. It's inspired in part by some of my favourite games, borrowing in themes, sense of exploration, and aesthetics from the Soulsborne and soulslike genre, mixed heavily with arpg itemization from Diablo/PoE style games. While many may remember their Soulslike experiences as nothing more than suffering, I personally loved the sense of progression, to prevail over challenges and monsters that seemed impossible to defeat at first. If any of that seems interesting to you, do check out the first chapter and let me know what you think. Cheers, and thanks for reading. Cover by Baconstrap.

My World To Live
[Do Not Read this version, New FINAL version uploaded August 9th, 2021 as separate fiction, click to link here on RR. Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters both demons and spirits in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who just reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is an abnormal human with elemental powers, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world of magic, danger, mystery, and intrigue. But this not a game. That simple adventure is actually the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tear even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought she was. And not even the gods can change the destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence. — Fantasy || Adventure || Romance || Action || Mystery || Drama || Science Fiction — The My World To Live (MWTL) series, the alternative short name is Canaan, is comprised of three books symbolically named My World, To Live, and My World To Live. Two years prior, the entire story had been planned and detailed out from start to finish before actual writing. Thus, the story will never be dropped. While the genre is largely Fantasy, the book is comprised of many other elements including a School Life (Magic Academy) story portion. MWTL has a lot of scattered symbolism and allusions, hence, the mystery aspect. The science fiction elements progressively become more pronounced, and the slow romance is a late bloomer. The female lead is strong and independent, and her backstory and identity unravel as drivers of the plot. Expect lots of action/fighting throughout and scattered philosophical and psychological themes arising. It's a human journey to find the essence of one's living and purpose. What kind of world do I wish to live for? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope to share the journey with you~! Canaan's Original and New Covers: If you're curious about my art and the various covers I made for this series and other authors, I have a RR thread that makes free covers and shows art processes. [October 1, 2020 Notice: Hello, I aplogize to all followers for suddenly taking an extended hiatus. Life threw a lot at my face and then the pandemic happened, so I hadn't been able to write until around the last month when I decided to challenge myself and finish the first book in this series. I am ok now, and thank you for your patience and understanding. No words can express how much every reader means to me. RR was the first writing platform that I ever felt accomplished to any small degree, so I am forever grateful to it. Multiples changes have been made since this final revision and writing of the ending, so please see the latest chapter detailing the update. This also includes my decision to submit this story to the 2020 Wattys contest (the deadline was Sept 30th). That means I will not be posting the updated version of this story on here until the contest is over (since I doubt I'll win anyway lol). And so, if you want to read the full, now completed (woohoo!) story, please go to my Wattpad. Thank you once again, and wishing you all the very best health and happiness! FINAL UPDATE, March 7, 2021: The complete story has been re-posted after the Wattys. This version that was on Wattys is the one being re-posted. However, the Final Version (which will be on a separate book from this to remain organized, and is technically the fifth version of the story xD) will be released May 2021. For more information, please read this update linked here. Thank you to all readers for taking this two year journey with me!

After the Long Burn
After the longest exodus in human history, a terrible accident threatens to turn the salvation of humanity into its most desperate struggle for survival. From the ashes of calamity rises a new human story. A frustrated scientist dedicates her life to recreating the Earth in alien soil, while another is gunned down for his sin and sets off a chain of events culminating in a desperate escape across the void for an opportunity at redemption. Around a distant moon a deep space miner stumbles onto a secret, the key to which lies buried inside his own tortured mind. After the Long Burn is an anthology of short science fiction stories set in the distant Ionad System. Author's Note: I thought I might try something a little different with this story. Rather than one story, it is six stories of varying length, each taking a slightly different perspective to tell a larger story. Some are more actioney, others more cerebral but I hope there will be something for everyone. Stories over 7000 words, with the exception of the titular After the Long Burn, will be published in two parts. I anticipate an upload schedule of one part every other day.

Murderously Disturbed
This collection chronicles the horrific contents of my brain in poetic form. This is not for the faint of heart. It contains terrifying moments of murder, suicide, mayhem, rituals, hauntings, and nightmares in various poetic forms from ballads to sonnets and many more. Most of these pieces are oneshot tales, but the "Haunted Blades" ballad sequence is marked with an asterisk (*) throughout the collection to denote an interconnected series of poems.
