Hidden Wife : Best Husband Chapter 156

Soo Yin pushed the door slowly so as not to wake Jo Yeon Ho. Once at the bedside she smiled at Jo Yeon Ho who was still sleeping peacefully. She stretched out her hand to fix the messy blanket.
"I'm sorry, Yeon Ho," Soo Yin said softly as she rubbed the boy's hair for a while. She felt very guilty if she hurt the child's feelings.
"Sorry, if someday I'll hurt you," Soo Yin muttered while sighing softly.
'God what should I do?' Soo Yin said to herself.
Soo Yin then packed her things back into the bag. She really wanted to go back to Pyeongchang-dong villa. It's better that before breakfast she should've go home. She also felt bad if she stayed in this house too long. Moreover, Aeri seemed to dislike her even more after returning from Busan. She didn't know, Soo Yin felt that Aeri was getting suspicious of her.
Knock… knock… knock….
The sound of knocking on the door interrupted Soo Yin from her reverie. She immediately stepped toward the door to open it. It turned out that there was already Mrs. Park together with Aeri. Soo Yin frowned at the two women standing in front of her.
"Where's Yeon Ho?" Aeri asked, who immediately pushed Soo Yin's body who was standing in front of the door. Soo Yin almost fell on her knees if she didn't hold on to the knob. She barged in to see how her son was doing. She could breathe a sigh of relief that her son was fine so she turned toward the door again.
"All night we were busy looking for Jo Yeon Ho but you just hid him here. Or did you make us feel anxious on purpose?" Aeri said with emotion. Whenever she saw the girl, her anger immediately wanted to explode, especially last night, she was so annoyed with Dae Hyun that she needed an outlet.

"Aeri, lower your voice. Don't wake Jo Yeon Ho. I'm sure that it wasn't Soo Yin's fault," Mrs. Park said, who defended her future daughter-in-law.
"Mother, I'm pretty sure if she did it on purpose. If not, why didn't she come out of her room when everyone was busy looking for Yeon Ho's whereabouts. Is she deaf so she didn't hear the commotion," Aeri said, who smiled crookedly as she lifted a lip to the top.
"Aeri, watch your words. I don't like you always blaming Soo Yin. As a mother you should know where your son is," Mrs. Park said with a displeasure look on her face.
"Mother, if she had been honest last night everyone would not have bothered. It's all because of her mistake," Aeri said with a look full of hatred towards Soo Yin.
"Never mind, the most important thing is Jo Yeon Ho is fine now. Stop blaming Soo Yin," Mrs. Park said.
"But, Mom…." Aeri was about to argue but it seemed useless. She didn't know what kind of magic that Soo Yin's got so that everyone seemed to like her.
"Soo Yin, did Yeon Ho disturb your sleep last night?" Mrs. Park asked, she smiled warmly. She wanted to make her prospective daughter-in-law not feel pressured so that the way she spoke when she was with Aeri was very inversely related. She spoke softly to Soo Yin.
Aeri rolled her eyes when she heard her mother-in-law speak softly.
'Look at you later, damn girl, I will make this family don't like you anymore,' Aeri thought as she clenched her fists. Every time Soo Yin was around, her mother-in-law ignored her.
"No, Mom," Soo Yin said with a faint smile.
"Thank God, I'm afraid that Yeon Ho will bother you so you can't sleep well," Mrs. Park said.

"Not at all, he's a very good boy." Soo Yin repeated her answer to convince Mrs. Park.
"Are you coming home this morning? How about this afternoon?" Mrs. Park asked with great hope.
"Mother, she also has to go home to rest. Soo Yin also has a job at home," Dae Hyun said, who has been standing with them since sometime.
Jo Yeon Ho, who was asleep, finally woke up because the sound of the chatter at the door disturbed his sense of hearing. He rushed out of bed when he heard that Soo Yin was coming home soon.
"Eunnie, don't come home," Jo Yeon Ho said, who had a sour face. He was holding Soo Yin's shirt.
"Yeon Ho, just let her go home. There's still a mother here," Aeri said as she reached out her hand to grab Jo Yeon Ho's shoulder but the child was hiding behind Soo Yin's body.
Jo Yeon Ho was still scared and sad, remembered last night hearing the fight between her father and mother.
"Yeon Ho, Soo Yin also has business so she has to go home first," Dae Hyun persuaded.
Jo Yeon Ho lowered his head. He felt very sad that there was no place to pour his heart out if Soo Yin came home.
"I want to come with you, I don't want to be with mom and dad," Jo Yeon Ho said while hiding his face in Soo Yin's shirt.
Dae Hyun crouched down to persuade his son. It seemed that his guess was correct, last night if Jo Yeon Ho listened to the commotion between himself and Aeri.
"Yeon Ho, you can be with Grandma if you don't want to be with mom and dad," Dae Hyun persuaded. He stretched out his hand to grab his wrist.
"Soo Yin, apparently you have poisoned my son's mind so that he doesn't want to be with us," Aeri said with her hands on her hips.
"Aeri, shut up!" Dae Hyun said in a cold tone.
Aeri clenched her fists at Dae Hyun's yell.
"Yeon Ho, why don't you want to be with mom and dad?" Now Mrs. Park crouched too. She seemed to smell something was wrong with her son and daughter-in-law. Dae Hyun also acted like this a few months ago

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
