Soo Yin immediately turned around. She remembered that her purpose here was to ask Manager Han for a file so she stepped in.
"What are you here for?" Manager Han asked.
"I just want to take the financial report file because Mr. Dae Hyun will check it," Soo Yin said while looking down.
"Are you going to tell Dae Hyun about me?" Aeri urged as she surrounded Soo Yin's body. She didn't need further pleasantries.
Soo Yin was speechless. She should have answered that question 'yes'. That way Dae Hyun will divorce Aeri and she can become the only woman to become Dae Hyun's wife.
"If you dare to tell him I'll reveal your secret to everyone here!" Aeri threatened.
"I heard from Li Sa that you were almost crazy because you were traumatized as a child. You are traumatized because everyone taunts you as the illegitimate child of a flake." Aeri said with great emphasis in Soo Yin's ear.
"Do you want everyone here to find out?" Aeri continued once again when she saw Soo Yin's clenched her fist. That meant she was holding back her anger.
"I never thought an innocent girl like you is the daughter of a perpetrator. I want to know which rich man your mother has managed to seduce," Aeri continued.
Soo Yin clenched her fingers until cold sweat escaped her body. Suddenly the past that she hated so much seemed to be spinning back in her memory. She didn't want that incident to happen again. To her being humiliated and bullied like that was very painful.
"How, do you want that?" Aeri asked once again with a sarcastic smile. Luckily she met her yesterday while shopping with Li Sa. So that she can find out a little secret about it. If not, then maybe her position was now in danger.

"Enough! Don't bring my mother!" Soo Yin shouted with red eyes.
"If you don't want your past to happen again, you better shut up," Aeri threatened with a crooked smile.
"Han gave the file to her," Aeri said, she asked for the file in Han's hand.
Han was about to give it to Soo Yin but Aeri grabbed it instead.
"Go, remember I'm not messing with my words! Besides, Dae Hyun won't believe your words because you don't have any evidence," Aeri said while handing over the file Dae Hyun requested to Soo Yin.
After that Soo Yin rushed out of the room with a feeling raging in her heart.
"Han, I want you to find out more about that girl! We almost got caught," Aeri said.
"Okay, you don't have to worry."
They also continue their romance which was hampered by the arrival of Soo Yin.
=========================
Soo Yin walked with languid steps. Her mind was now out of focus. Every time she heard the insult aimed at her mother, her heart was really deeply sliced. Really she felt a pain in her chest cavity even though since childhood she had never met his mother. Soo Yin can only pray that his mother will be happy in heaven even though she never saw the tomb.
With a blank and staggered stare, Soo Yin returned to Dae Hyun's room. Just before she entered, suddenly her head was dizzy, causing her body to fall to the floor.
"Miss!" Chang Yuan stood up first then immediately helped Soo Yin to get up. He carried her to sat on the sofa.
"Soo Yin, are you sick?" Dae Hyun placed the back of his palm on the girl's forehead.
"No, I'm fine," Soo Yin said while smiling faintly. She didn't want to make Dae Hyun worry about her.

"Assistant Chang, call Doctor Kang immediately!" Dae Hyun ordered.
"No need, I'm really fine," Soo Yin said as she grabbed Dae Hyun's fingers to calm him down.
"How could you be okay? You suddenly fell," Dae Hyun who was very worried said.
"I'm really okay. Don't worry too much," Soo Yin said.
"Then you better go home," Dae Hyun said he thought it was because his wife was tired from working with him late at night.
"I'll be fine around you." Soo Yin leaned her head against Dae Hyun's chest. Only that man could calm her down now. After his father's departure there was no place to complain and lean on.
"You bad girl," Dae Hyun said with a happy smile then rubbed Soo Yin's shoulder.
"If nothing is needed I will go, sir," Chang Yuan said.
Chang Yuan, who had seen their intimacy earlier, couldn't stand it. Do they think his heart was like a robot so that his boss just spits happiness in front of his eyes.
"Okay, you can go," Dae Hyun said.
Chang Yuan was about to step his foot but someone opened the door.
"Good afternoon, Miss Aeri," Chang Yuan said aloud so that Dae Hyun and Soo Yin would keep their distance if they didn't want their secrets to be discovered.
Soo Yin immediately pulled herself up and then stood up. Smoothed her slightly messy hair using her fingers.
"Honey, accompany me to the mall," Aeri said. She did rush after Soo Yin for fear that the girl would reveal her secret.
Soo Yin has a stomach ache listening to Aeri greeted to Dae Hyun. She really want to threw her using sandals. Moreover, she just saw her in another man's lap. Soo Yin felt very furious but she was very afraid of Aeri's threat earlier.
"I have a lot of work, and you can go alone anyway," Dae Hyun said in a flat tone. Very much different in tone of voice when talking to Soo Yin.
"Soo Yin, can you leave us alone?" Aeri expelled for Soo Yin to leave.
"No need to tell her to leave. Better you just go home," Dae Hyun said. He preferred to be around Soo Yin than Aeri.
"So you kicked me out?" Aeri asked angrily.
"I just don't want to be bothered because there's a lot of work to do," Dae Hyun said.
Soo Yin chose to leave the room because she didn't want to listen to the argument between them. She needed a place to calm down for a moment.

Serena had died a Celestial. One of the few who were meant to rule over the vast multiverse. Yet she was inexplicably reborn. Carrying the knowledge of her past life, she seeks to do what her kind does best... rule. Yet, the multiverse isn't what it once was. Mortals aspire to become what the celestials once were, through levels or classes or cultivation. New things that didn't and shouldn't exist. And these mortals are only the beginning of what stands in her way. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Warning: There will be times that morally suspect themes happen. While I have little to no intention of showing them (especially during a Writathon) things like abuse of all kinds (neglect, emotional, mental, spiritual, physical and sexual) can or be implied to have happened. These are played to the horrors such things are, and are treated with the seriousness and aftereffects it would cause. Progression + Cultivation + GameLit + Multiverse + Slow Build + Slow Burn + Worldbuilding + Grimbright + Multiple POVs = Insanity for all. This the first time I am seriously writing an original story. I will be Writing each book in Parts/Arcs (3-6) with mini arcs (3-6 in each arc). Each Mini-arc is 5-14 or so chapters. I like progression stories and I've always wanted to try and write one like a few of the web novels that inspired me. The Game Lit aspects will be more in the background, with focus on other details like dungeons, monsters, loot, morality, and so on. There will be focus on various kinds of progression. Updates 3-5 days a week (Usually weekdays). Chapters will be roughly 1000-2500 words and alternate wildly.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
