Pyeongchang-dong Villa.
As soon as they arrived the villa, Soo Yin immediately cleaned her body in the bathroom. The memory of how Lee Joung Youn forcefully touched her body made the girl felt disgusted.
To get rid of it all, Soo Yin soaked in a bath up using aromatherapy soap to make her more relaxed.
In the outside, Doctor Kang was busy cleaning Dae Hyun's wound with alcohol so that it wouldn't get worse.
Sometimes, Soo Yin can hear Dae Hyun screamed in pain. So she immediately finished her bath by poured herself into the shower. Then changed clothes and dried her hair.
Soo Yin rushed out of the bathroom to find out what was going on.
Soo Yin immediately sat beside Dae Hyun who was lying on the bed. Glanced at his body which was currently shirtless. Observing the man's face which was covered in sweat from enduring the pain. She also felt horrified when she saw the wound which turned out to be quite deep. No wonder his arm continued to bleed quite a lot.
Dae Hyun's face was bruised in several parts. His eyelids also blackened in the blow. His nose was bleeding earlier but it was dry. The corners of his lips were also injured.
"Arghh!" Dae Hyun shouted, enduring the pain as Doctor Kang sewed up his arm.
Soo Yin grabbed Dae Hyun's arm. Wipe it gently. Can not bear to see him continue to moan in pain.
"Doctor Kang, what happened? Did you forget to put him on anesthetic?" Soo Yin asked Doctor Kang.
"This is so that the wound dries quickly so I only gave him a low dose of anesthetic," Doctor Kang replied as he continued to sew Dae Hyun's arm.
"Sorry, because of me you got hurt like this." Soo Yin lowered her head, feeling very sad. If she were careful and didn't just trust new people, nothing would have happened.

"Shhh, it's not your fault. I should be the one who apologizing. If I hadn't forced you to the party, this wouldn't have happened." Dae Hyun held Soo Yin's hand gently so that the girl wouldn't felt anxious anymore.
"No need to worry, Dae Hyun is much stronger than you think," said Doctor Kang, who had finished carrying out his duties.
"I'll excuse myself because it's already late at night," Doctor Kang said as he looked at his watch which was already two o'clock in the morning. If it wasn't Dae Hyun who was injured, he wouldn't have come at this late.
"Thank you, Doctor Kang," Soo Yin said, escorting him to the front door of the room.
Aunt Xia entered carrying warm water to clean the bruises on Dae Hyun's face. When she was about to clean his wound, Soo Yin reached out to take it.
"Ahjumma, let me do it. Ahjumma better rest because it's late at night," Soo Yin said with a smile.
Aunt Xia only nodded her head. There was a feeling of confusion because Soo Yin was acting unusual. But she was very happy about it. Auntie Xia chose to immediately leave the room, not wanting to disturb them. Can only hope that Soo Yin has changed and was willing to accept Dae Hyun.
Soo Yin started to clean Dae Hyun's face slowly. Clean the blood stain that has dried on the corner of his lips.
Dae Hyun continued to stare at Soo Yin's beautiful eyes. Really more and more fascinated by it. He really felt happy because the girl cares for him. Really hope that Soo Yin will continue like this.
They stare at each other for a moment. Until Soo Yin's face flushed in embarrassment.
"I'm very happy that you are beside me right now," Dae Hyun said honestly. Extended his hand to lightly touch Soo Yin's cheek then rubbed it.

Soo Yin was silent while looking at Dae Hyun. Her hand was still on the man's face.
"Arghh." Dae Hyun felt his wound hurt because Soo Yin was pressing too hard on him.
"Ah, sorry. I really didn't mean it," Soo Yin said, frantically afraid to hurt his face even more.
"I'm fine," Dae Hyun said with a smile.
"It's getting late, you better rest." Soo Yin put down the basin filled with warm water, placed it on the table. She was about to get out of bed but Dae Hyun grabbed her wrist.
"Do you need anything?" Soo Yin asked while frowning.
"Can you get me some clothes?" Dae Hyun said.
"Okay." Soo Yin forgot that Dae Hyun was still shirtless.
Soo Yin picked up a short shirt that was slightly loose so the sleeves could easily fit in. Because his right arm is bandaged.
Soo Yin shyly helped Dae Hyun get dressed.
"Where are you going?" Dae Hyun asked when he saw Soo Yin about to leave.
"I'll sleep on the sofa," Soo Yin said with a smile.
"Sleep beside me, at least for the night." Dae Hyun patted the pillow beside him which was still empty.
Soo Yin lowered her head while biting her lower lip.
"Come here," Dae Hyun said softly.
Finally Soo Yin climbed back into bed. Slowly lied down beside Dae Hyun. Her heart was pounding because she had never slept this close to a man. She didn't dare to face Dae Hyun, so she chose to turned her back on him.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
