Master Of Voracious Beasts Chapter 246

"So, it's my turn, huh?" The long-haired guy, shift his attention to the second monster, who was still regenerating to the attack of the cloaked person earlier.
He suddenly revealed his left eye and look straight at the beast, 'If it weren't for the fire of that guy, I wouldn't be able to do this.'
Earlier, he thought that the fire was already extinguished. He never thought it would light up once again, burning up the enemy down slowly and avoid it to recover fully.
"Chaos eyes!" He screamed while looking at the humanoid xenomorpher beast with one eye.
Tremble...
The air distorted slowly in front of the terror guard. The terror guard looks like it's not noticing something until...
Squeak!
It releases a painful scream. Its whole body was like sucking in some sort of direction. It wanted to move away and leave, but the pain from the fire is keeping it in its place. It couldn't run away.
It tried to resist but, but there's nothing it can do at any moment, was instead slowly pulled in some kind of unknown dimension
Right!
It was the last voice is uttered, and it was sucked in like water in a sink, with its blood bursting in the process. The second terror guard was eliminated!
"Hooo! Finally." The long-haired person said. His expression was bizarre. He was looking at the two individuals because he found them extremely dangerous. That guy, even if regenerates, the connection of that in here will be cut off immediately.
He felt he needed caution against these two, as their firepower can rival him.
Vann and the cloaked person are thinking the same thing, just by how peculiar's everyone power is, they thought they couldn't be underestimated.
"They are strong." Jomel on the sideline is not even feeling giddy or scared, they are probably using some kind of space power, it is extremely strong if he doesn't have any counter towards it.

He analyzed it.
The first one who was in cloaked can turn himself into a lot of scorpions for a short amount of time after using a flame attack near to its target
The second one, named 'Vann' is using some kind of teleportation ability. He can also materialize a weapon using elements of the wind. Plus, once it hits an opponent, he can teleport that one who was hit.
And the last one is to make the enemy disappear into an unknown dimensional void. But takes time for it to be ready and kill the enemy. If it weren't for the flame of the cloaked one, the enemy could have got a chance to evade that attack.
"Their abilities are familiar." Jomel thought of it and recalled. Their abilities are the same as the family of red eyes in a ninja-ninja world where their love is so great that it would transform their eyes if that love became hatred.
"Teleportation and marking. huh," Jomel found Vann similar to the so-called ninja leaders, the fourth one with yellow hair. The father of the yellow-haired protagonist with a devil fox inside him on the series he used to watch in the past.
"Lucky." Jomel smiled at this. He is fortunate that his beast had hatched. If not, he has no way of knowing how to counter these three with peculiar abilities.
Plus, the combat form he can use is at mid-level anthromite, which is like the two individuals and close to the 'Vann' guy that can use teleportation.
Every time a beast levels up, a tamer can change his moves and choose between the moves of his three beasts. Any moves.
Right now his moves are looking like this inside his head if organized:
[``````````````````````

"If ever I am needed to intervene, I will use it to gain an advantage in this world." Jomel is looking for perfect timing. He didn't care about these three.
They are adults and can fight back, unlike children and ladies. So killing them is necessary won't be a problem on his guilty conscience.
Plus, this world is dangerous. He can now properly use the devour ability so poison won't be any use against him.
He is also looking at the person called 'Vann' The way he acts is suspicious. It seems like he is more knowledgeable about this queen thing.
"The Scorpion queen and king," Jomel mumbled these things are the creatures he wanted to see how beautiful creatures they are.
To him, seeing different beings became a habit. He never thought that these things were real and was walking in the never-ending universe.
...
"Be careful, here's the final one," Vann warned every single one of them.
Tudob! Tudob! Tudob!
Tudob! Tudob! Tudob!
Tudob! Tudob! Tudob!
The cloaked one looks at the gigantic root that is beating hard with a wild look, 'I couldn't wait anymore.' Because of the hatred and anger that he is feeling towards that thing, he knew he couldn't wait anymore.
With a blast from his eyes, "Devil's flame!" Another stream of red aura, attack the root that the unknown creature is supposed to be born of.
The long-haired guy looked at the root with dread.
He noticed that the stronger the beating heart is, the more he can feel the death aura inside of it.
He could kill this thing right now, but they don't have any cooperation with each other.
Bam!
The flames scorched the beating root and destroyed the root. Suddenly, an arm appeared.
It was a human arm!
Suddenly, the whole area was covered with sandstorms!
When the creature got out of the gigantic bloodroot, An ensemble of particles of dust or sand energetically lifted to great heights by a strong and turbulent wind was together with it.
It was stronger than the sandstorm earlier and Jomel, who was hiding in the wall, was struck dumb!

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
