Razam Family
An old man with dark hair and deep eyes, wearing an item of black clothing together with dark masses on his side, spoke...
"I heard there's a special body type appeared again in the mage faction in the Human Alliance, and before the investigation, that girl is a daughter of Lania and the boy from Milith Family."
"Yes, patriarch, it is indeed Lania's daughter, and is your granddaughter Patriarch." A one-eyed man with a dark gown replied respectfully to the so-called patriarch.
"What about the other one…? The brother that the mage faction mentioned together with her and their relationship seems so close..?"
"In the investigation, he is just an average soldier and doesn't have enough talent in Soul-Beast Taming Patriarch".
"Talent is not everything, anyway hurry and find that Soldier, we can use him luring the girl by finding his Long-Lost brother.."
"Yes, Patriarch…" The one-eyed man bowed and hurriedly get on his way.

Milith Family
"I heard Grivo made an outstanding offspring outside. Hurry and do anything to take the girl fast from the mage faction."
A man with a muscular body and red hair with a little white seen to it roared with a thunderous voice.
"A body that can nurture Brawler and Spirit Soul-Beast naturally, which is extremely rare in every hundred races…"
"I will get that and create a terrifying tamer for the family…"

"Huong looks at that duckling..!" Jomel said.
Huong immediately noticed the duckling, and she found it cute "It's so cute brother!" *giggle*.
Suddenly, the mother of the duck swum away, leaving the little duckling behind.
All the siblings of little duckling are grown-up compared to the little duckling, with their soon-to-be white feathers and some little white feathers sprouting on their wings.
There's an obstruction of water to the canal and the little duckling can't follow up.
And the mother couldn't hear the distressing noise that it's making because of the cars and vehicles noises.
The mother was gone, and the little duckling was left behind. "Brother, let's take it!" Huong suddenly asks Jomel.
Jomel didn't reply and said, "We just shouldn't be careless, plus it's normal to happen."
"Huong was a little sad for a moment and replied "If I am the duckling, are you going to leave me behind older brother?" *sob* Jomel froze for a long time.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.
