Marvel's Superman Chapter 168

As a powerful instrument sealed by the Vishanti, 'Window of the Worlds' can spy from a distance and detect abnormal changes worldwide.
But in a way, it is also a voyeuristic tool!
Namor and Sebastian Shaw were hiding inside the fortress, but they couldn't escape the invisible peeping eye of the Sorcerer Supreme.
Moreover, they didn't even notice it.
Hiss!
Luke gasped, thinking deeply!
"Major General, I'm not interested in your private life. There is no way I can use my magic instruments to do such a frivolous thing as the Sorcerer Supreme!
The Ancient One coughed twice and spoke seriously.
She expressed that she is a decent person and does not have the nasty hobby of peeping on others idly.
Moreover, the Sorcerer Supreme maintained the safety of the earth and ensured that the outside intrusion didn't invade the main universe.
Even if she broke some rules occasionally, it was normal!
"Master Ancient One, don't get excited. I'm just asking."
Luke laughed a few times to lighten the mood.
He silently thought that when he went to Kamar Taj to study magic, he must seriously learn anti-detection spells.
Otherwise, it will leave a psychological shadow when he does some kind of multi-person 'exercises' in the future.
...
...
Fortress, council chamber.
Hearing that the castle has been stolen, Namor looked shocked and prepared to return to the city.
"Your Majesty, if you return to the royal city at this time, Superman may be waiting for you halfway."
Sebastian suppressed his inner delight and discouraged, "He holds the golden trident; he can easily separate the water waves and kill us all."
Namor, who was full of anxiety, calmed down and sat back in his chair.
"Your Majesty, the current situation isn't promising, from all aspects. The two landings failed, and the Orca Corps and the Seahorse Corps suffered heavy losses. Therefore, it will take a lot of time to regroup the army and make a comeback."
In the chamber, a blue-skinned shark-headed Captain stepped forward.
He is the Hammerhead Shark Corps leader, and his tribe didn't live in the Imperial City.
There was no sense of tension about the fall of the rear base camp.
The shark-headed leader glanced coldly at Sebastian Shaw and said in a deep voice, "War is about efficiency and speed. Our previous battle plan was to launch separate landings from the coastal cities to take out the Landers' defensive line from multiple targets in one fell swoop and then to assemble on a large scale in Washington, D.C. to build portable forts; for hydration and reassembly."

"But now the development has long gone beyond the original plan. The landing battle has failed, and the royal city has been raided. We are the ones at a disadvantage."
"At this point, I think it's important to acknowledge the cold reality that this war is coming to an end before it even breaks out on a large scale."
Namor was dissatisfied. His deep pride and arrogance made him unable to accept this ending.
"Are you trying to convince me to negotiate, compromise and even surrender on behalf of Atlantis with those land dwellers? That's impossible!"
The young King still didn't see the situation. Perhaps too many negative emotions blinded his eyes and occupied the high ground of his wisdom.
"We have a chance, Captain. Attacking New York and destroying the city as quickly as possible will prove Atlantis' strength and our determination to reject the threat."
The shark-headed leader was speechless. The blue skin flushed green and black as if poisoned.
It was difficult for him to explain clearly to Namor in a simple and easy-to-understand language. Changing tactics wasn't good for Atlantis at all.
"Occupying New York is useless; it's... Your Majesty."
The shark-headed leader swallowed the word 'stupid' when he thought of what had happened to the robed nobles.
"Atlanteans aren't adapted to the environment of the land, and they don't need to plunder the resources on the land. So, the war was a mistake from the beginning."
"We expended a lot of troops and got nothing -- the false honor of expanding territory is meaningless to the people of Atlantis."
The Hammerhead Shark's Captain's long speech made Namor freeze for a moment.
The sober consciousness that had been disconnected for a long time suddenly came up, suppressing the anger inside.
He couldn't help but think seriously about what his reasons for starting the war were.
"Your Majesty, I think the Captain is wrong."
Sebastian interrupted Namor's thoughts with a timely statement.
"Atlantis and the land world are essentially in a struggle between two civilizations. The latter has developed at an astonishing rate, evolving from monkeys who learned to use tools to the nominal masters of the planet."
"They won't be satisfied with the exploitation and plundering of land resources. Sooner or later, they will pay attention to the deeper and richer ocean."

"Since Atlantis would be discovered sooner or later, why can't we choose to take the initiative in the face of hostile and coveting eyes of the land world?"
"His Majesty didn't start the war for the sake of momentary honor, but because he saw the future in the longer term."
Sebastian's blow, like a beautiful punch, instantly sunk Namor's intellect.
The latter couldn't help but show an expression of approval and increasingly pictured himself in the role of a wise King.
"Mr. Shaw, you are always quick to understand my intentions."
Namor was moved to say.
"As a wise ruler, I always look deeper into things, while they can only see the surface. Only you, Mr. Shaw! Only you could think on a deeper level, like me!"
The corners of Sebastian's lips twitched, but he could only nod concurringly and vaguely say, "It is common for any genius who transcends the times to be misunderstood."
The shark-headed captain looked at the two men echoing each other and almost vomited blood. However, he didn't look back and strode away from the chamber.
"Mr. Shaw, I wonder what you can do to turn the situation around?"
Namor didn't pay any attention to the not-so-savvy corps captain and said in a deep voice, "If the Hellfire Club and I join forces, we may not be Superman's opponents."
Sebastian waved his hand quickly and dissuaded him, "Your Majesty, don't be impulsive for the time being."
It's okay to speak lies without even blinking, but telling him to send his head over was impossible!
This Black King of the Hellfire Club once again turned on the fooling mode, "I think there's a better way."
"The fact that the Land World did not destroy the royal city of Poseidonia in the first place, but chose to give a verbal warning, proves that they don't want to be enemies with Atlantis."
"If we return to the negotiating table, then the ultimate weapon that could destroy the North American continent will come in handy."
Namor was a little hesitant and whispered, "No king has ever really used the Continental Shelf Oscillator. That's a forbidden thing that has long been sealed up!"
"Your Majesty doesn't have to use it. Simply using it as a deterrent weapon of strategic importance is enough."
Sebastian stepped forward and smiled, "At that time, the Continental Shelf Oscillator will allow Superman to return the golden trident and temporarily establish a non-aggression pact between the two civilizations on land and sea."
Thinking of his beloved golden trident, Namor couldn't help but waver.
"Let me think about it."
After a long while, he said so.
It was neither a refusal nor a promise.
"Shaw, you don't want to sink the entire North American continent with the Continental Shelf Oscillator, do you?"
The Hellfire Club left the council chambers and dispersed, except for the White Queen, who blocked Sebastian's path.
"That will kill a lot of people! It's not just humans in there; it's our brothers and sisters!"
"Emma, have you ever heard the story of God destroying the world with floods and creating a new world?"
Sebastian spoke with his head held high and a firm voice, "God said that he would wipe man, animals, insects, and birds from the face of the earth. For the world was full of sin, and only after a baptism of destruction could a new life be brought forth."
"The opportunity was presented to us to flatten the old home and build a brand new high-rise from the rubble. So why not?"
The White Queen felt a chill down her back as if seeing the apocalypse. The earth shattered, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis swallowed cities.
"I feel sick."
She shrank her neck, trying to stay away from Sebastian.
Looking at the White Queen, who left in a hurry, the Black King of the Hellfire Club shook his head and softly said, "That's a shame."
