2 months went by like that and now not only was she being house arrested she was also doing all the chores of the house. Like sweeping the garden, cleaning the pool, doing laundry and sometimes even cleaning their shoes as well!

If she would not do all these things then her brother was the one who was being tortured. They would not give food to that little soul or even beat him until he lost his consciousness. She had to bear everything all alone.

She wanted to meet Leo and wanted to tell him all these things but who would have known that Leo was the only part of their plan!

To take her out and ruin her reputation was their initial plan! They kept on trying it since last year but there was no result.

Lana was not some loose girl who would give them these opportunities so easily. It was getting harder and harder for them to take her out of the picture so they stopped giving her food and abuses increased pretty much more than earlier.

Only a bowl of rice was given to them in a day to survive and Lana, she used to give it to her brother to survive.

Even the servants in her house started treating her like their servant.

No one was there for her to help.

Most of the time she wanted to kill herself and relieve her pain but as always she was bound with her brother.

Who would take care of him if he died? He was so small and tiny at that time and seeing him all weak and hungry always made her heart ache in agony.

One day little Casper had said to her while crying "Sis! What wrong have we done to be treated like this? Why can't you eat and only I can eat? Why did they beat you and beat me too?"

The little boy whose cheeks used to be chubby and glowing pink, now he looked malnourished. As if he had not eaten for months.

And which was true! They had not eaten properly for months now!

Lana hugged him and said "Don't worry! If God has given us these days then in future we might have better days than them! I promise you to take you out from here one one… I promise!"

She choked up on her words and her tears started streaming out of her eyes.

"Sis.. Sis please don't cry, even they beat you and beat me.. As long as we are together no one will make us feel pain right?"

He rested his small head on her lap and hugged her waist tightly.

"Sis! Don't worry. Don't cry. I will avenge us and throw them in the pit of hell!!"

Hearing little Casper's dangerous promise, her body shook.

She did not know if they were going to survive but here he was talking all big and dangerous things to her.

She hugged him tight and that night she cried and hugged him all night.

She was turning 18 soon and there was no way she could live there anymore.

She was planning to escape from there but who would know things should change suddenly.

They let her out now and after about a year she was sent to out house of her own Mansion to live, but of course it was much better to live in darkness and gloomy places.

She was a little happy about this. Zoey and Cali had even thrown some clothes on her and the food was better now. They both get food to eat three times a day. But still rather than doing house chores she was bound to buy vegetables and other things.

The rest of the money which used to be left , like if she was given a hundred dollars and 5 or 10 dollars were left, then they would give it to her.

It was more than enough. Like where there was nothing for her, now she had some money daily.

She knew those money were hers but she could not say anything or fight back.

She was not alone after all! And to fight those people, she needed someone strong to fight against them but unfortunately there was none.

Now she was allowed to go out and meet people but since she was at her lowest she didn't want anyone to laugh at her and call her a loser.

Though it was true in a sense that she was nothing but a loser. She had lost all her family members except her little brother and she only wanted to live her life peacefully now.

The little money she was having from them, shr started saving it little by little.

She used to sneak into the kitchen now, to steal fruits and milk for her brother. He was really weak and needed nourishment to grow.

Casper was a growing child so he needed a lot to eat otherwise it would affect his body greatly.

Sometimes she would get caught and beaten by them. Though she was having a little freedom, it did not mean that she was free to do anything she wanted to do!

"You bitch! Now you are even stealing food and fruits from our kitchen!!! Let me teach you a good lesson to you"

Zoey had caught her in the act and dragged her out of the kitchen by grabbing her long blonde hair.

"How dare you.. You have the nerves to come here and steal food? Are those things not enough for you two to eat?"

Lana was being dragged like someone was dragging a box full of things in it.

Her scalp felt like bleeding and she yelped in pain.

"Cas… Casper is growing. He needs nutrients to grow tall and strong!"

Lana said while enduring all the pain and Zoey threw her body on the floor.

Mrs Will appeared after hearing all the commotion

"What is going on? Why is this good for nothing bitch here?"

She cursed at her as soon as she saw her.

"Mom! I guess you guys have given so much freedom to them that they are now even so daring, wanting to eat fruits and drink milk"

Lana could swear in her life that she had never eaten those fruits or drunk the milk she had 'Stolen' from her own house.

She only wanted her brother to eat well and grow healthy.

"What!! How dare she steal in our home? Do you think if your uncle had taken you out of the store room then you have all the things in life? You are too daring! Let me teach you a lesson."

She said and picked up a stick and started beating her

"If not for my old husband, I would never have given you a chance to come out and let you rot to death there!!"

She had already striked 4-5 sticks on her body…

"Mom! What are you doing!?"

At that moment Cali entered the house said as if she was shocked to death!

She quickly kneeled down and picked her up from the ground

"Sister, are you ok?"

She looked at her worryingly and then glared at her mother and sister

"Why are you guys being so cruel to her? She had already learnt her lesson while living in a cold dark room! Now what do you guys want!?"

Lana looked at Cali with her teary eyes and remembered how she used to give her extra pieces of food and sometimes clothes and medicines when she needed them while looking in that horrible place!

She had always thought that she was an angel who was always there to take her out of the abyss but Lana was too naive back then to then good from bad.

"Take it Sister Lana, and please forgive my mom! She is just like that"

She said and handed a bag full of fruits and other things to eat which she had just bought from the market.

"Come.. let me dress your wound otherwise Casper will be worried for you"

Lana's body was shaking in fear so she did not dare take anything from her but when she heard Casper would worry about her after seeing her in this state, she agreed!

Cali took her into 'her' room, which obviously, previously belonged to Lana.

"Come. Let me give you a piece of clothing to change and dress your wounds"

She gave her an 'old' dress which she had worn for 'one' time only.

But for Lana, it's been years to wear something like this.
