Victor felt his heart squeezed when the thought of his uncle liking

Lana… He felt something strange in his heart but could not tell what it was, so he ignored it and smiled for his uncle..

"You can leave now, I have called the chauffeur and he will take you where ever you want to"

This was the first time the masked guy had spoken a full sentence after they had met…

Lana looked up at him and this time her eyes fell on his eyes…

She was taken aback..

Even though the mask was covering his face but his eyes were still visible…

The thing which shocked her was, The masked man's eyes were the same color as his son!

She was shocked to the core that she did really not know what to do and say at the moment..

"How do you know I was there?"

Finally Lana was able to voice her question but His highness, the crown prince did not reply instead he said

"Don't forget your promise!"

He said and Lana felt silent.. Soon after, two guards came and escorted her to the parking lot…

"Mom…!! How can you guys let my uncle marry a girl with two kids? I mean she has two kids at this age!"

Nova, who had come to know about the marriage of Adrian this morning, became angry and restless…

"Mom… Are you going to say anything or not? How could His Highness King, the Grandpa, agree? And what about Her Highness Queen, the Grandma? What did she say?"

Jess had been sitting in her chamber silently and enjoying the son in this cold season but all her pleasure was taken away when her daughter came complaining which had totally nothing to do with her…

She couldn't help but sigh in dejection…

"Can you not interfere in this? You have been creating trouble all the time and everywhere you go…Can you not just say all these words so casually?"

Jess while closing her eyes, not wanting to care anymore…

"Mom! How can I not care about this matter? It is Uncle who is getting married! I don't think that no one knows about my affection for him?"

Nova felt angrier when her mother just ignored her like this and asked her to stay away…

Anyone can not care but her…

"Nova!!!" Jess's eyes flew open in shock and she looked here and there, afraid that someone might have heard them…

She quickly picked up the remote from the side table and pushed the button..

All the doors, windows and curtains were closed and then she pushed another button...The room became soundproof now…

Nova was taken aback by the way her mother was reacting..

She was acting as she had robbed the royal treasury and came here to tell her!

"Mom…!! Just what in the world are you doing? Is it necessary to react like this?"

She felt like she had been looked down upon by her own mother..

"Nova...How can you just casually say that? Adrian is not just anybody but your uncle and the future king of the Country of Avalon… You can not go around saying that you have affection for him other than a family should have!"

Jess was truly anxious by this fact… She would never want this to happen… And if they were not a family, she would never allow her daughter to go after him…

Adrian was not an easy man at all and a girl like her daughter would never be able to handle it ever…

"Mom…. You know really that we are not a real family bounded by blood right? So what's wrong for me to like him? Is it not normal for a young girl like me to have a crush on a man like him?"

"NO!! You never can!!... Nova… It's not as simple as you think… Me.. I might be the adopted daughter but… Well you don't know the side story so can just not like him remember that!"

Jess tried to reason with her…

Indeed there was some backstory which was hidden by everyone.

"Mom...Why are you making it so complicated? As long as we are not blood related… Does it really matter?

Nova was becoming furious by now… She really wanted to know the reason.. Why could she not like him?

Why could anyone else be accepted by not him?

"Just take it like this Nova, A girl can not like her father in 'that' way and if I give you the easiest example.. Then you can not really like Victor, your brother in that way… So just don't cross your boundaries!"

Jess tried her best to explain everything…Not letting it go at all!

On the other hand Nova could tell what she was pointing at… If she could not like her father because he is blood related… She could not like her brother because he was also blood related then..then could it be that.. Her mother was somehow a blood relative to the royal family?

'No..No can't be! My Mom is just making me a fool so that I will stop my feelings for uncle!... This won't do"

Nova was not ready to heed her mother's advice so she said in anger "Mom! If you really don't want to help me then say so! Why the hell are you giving rotten excuses to me? And if you are not going to help then I will help myself"

Hearing her daughter's words, Jess's heart sank in unknown fear..

"Nova.. I am telling you so that there will be no calamity in your life… You are my daughter after all...How can I not support you? And tell me when have I not supported you?"

Nova was totally went blind to her uncle's love… She was not a noisy child but she kept making chaos everywhere, here and there…

It was all because she wanted to attract his attention to her but in the end, he did pay attention to her but like she was a little girl to him.. There was only a few years age gap in between them but he always treated her like a little girl and nothing more… Which really hurt her pride at this point!

Jess continued "I will always support you, you are my daughter but try to understand me… There are some things that can never be explained before… Heed my advice as your mother.. I will always want your best!"

Jess couldn't help but feel anxious
