Jess and Victor left the dumbfounded Lana alone in the room.

She dazedly went to lock the room from inside but she still couldn't take it that Victor was Jess's son..

She had been thinking of making friends with Jess as she was kind and herself approached her. When she told her that she had a son, she had all kinds of imagination going on during the time she was changing into her new dress.

Alex was cold and rarely talked to anyone so she was planning to set Jess's son to meet him and make him his friend but who would have thought that her son would be her jerk boss who used to irritate her all the time.

When she remembered how she was anticipating all these and how her son was Victor, who was hugely disliked by her son, she quickly shook her head and went to her bed

"Gosh! How could I even think that? My Boss is such a playboy how could I even think of making him my Alex's friend"

She slapped her face and said "Let's talk to my little buns.. I haven't seen all the day today"

She said to herself and then her eyes went to the door and said "Those creatures out there are very harmful… They can open the door any minute"

She said and took the wooden chair and stuck it on the door knob and pulled a pretty heavy table to block the door from opening "At least now I can and run away with a lot of time in my hand.."

She said and went to the window "Well… It will be easy to jump from here.." She felt satisfied with her work and then laid in the bed...

"Now I can see my little dumplings at ease" She said and rested her body on the headrest of the bed.

Meanwhile Victor and Jess left together..

"These two are gone finally! Just wait and watch.. How am I going to kill you"

Cali had known that she was afraid of darkness and her fear might take her life as well.

So she was waiting for Victor and Jess to leave.

She saw them leaving. Jess was smiling and teasing her son and Victor was all grumpy, seeing them like this made her blood boil.

'This woman was laughing with that slut and in front of me? She was ready to devour me any moment' She thought to herself and started waiting for midnight!

"Mom.. You can leave! I have to go see my stupid uncle… He must be sitting all alone somewhere"

Victor said while opening the door of car for her

"Son.. Just come with me ok? I am so happy after decades.. Just accompany me ok?"

She clung to his hand and said like a spoiled child.

He looked down at her mother and rolled his eyes

"That Stupid woman! Well.. Even though she is stupid… Seeing how happy you are.. I will just let her go!"

He smiled a little and patted on her hands.

"Yes Yes… Just let your 'Aunt' go ok?" She said and went to sit in the car.

'Aunt?' An unexplainable feeling surged in his heart which made him feel annoyed

"Whatever..! I will just give a call to my stupid uncle"

He said and took out his phone…

After a few rings he picked up..

"Hi! Stupid uncle… Why is it that you are going to marry, and I am the one who has to please the elders?"

He said in irritation.

"Cut to the chase dear nephew!?" Adrian said calmly

"Your bride to be is now in danger… you should come and take her away" He said and was about to hang up the call…

"I don't need to care.. "Before he could even hang up the latter completed what he had to say and hung up the call.

"Damn this uncle! He always hangs up on me… I need revenge!" He said and called him again...

After a few rings he picked up and Victor said "Bye!"

With just one word he hung up the call and a satisfied look could be seen on his face

"Mommy"

They both said in happiness..

"Little Rain...Are you doing well? And how is my little Alex doing?" Her smile brightened after seeing the faint red eyes of Alex and Green of Raina...

"Mommy..Little Rain is good but misses you a lot!" Rain pouted and said "I have not seen you in person for two days… When can I see you?"

"Mom.. don't call me little Alex.."

He said while hiding his blushed face..

Every time she called him 'little' this and 'little' that he would feel shy..

"Ok ok… I will call you my dumplings and my buns, happy?" She laughed while saying this…

"Oh by the way.. I will see you guys soon but please don't bother your uncle ok?"

While saying this she was neither smiling nor laughing..

"Mom! You look beautiful when you smile…" Alex said while looking at her unblinkingly…

"Yes Yes… Mommy is the most beautiful when she smiles… I wonder why our father does not want her!?" First half of Rain's voice was excited but the second half was full of sadness

"It's not like that Rain.. Our mommy is the most beautiful.. Our father might not want us or he does not deserve our mother at all.."

Lana was shocked to hear them talking about the 'father' out of nowhere. She sensed that something was wrong so she asked

"Who said so? You father doesn't know I have you guys… It's just that… I don't want your father…!" Lana was worried and did not know what she was saying… All she wanted was to console them..

"Mommy… Why are you not married then? Even if we have no father, why don't you have a husband?"

Rain's voice was innocent as usual and she did not know what actually she was saying but for Lana it was too much..

She got angry and said

"Who taught you guys all these things? Is this what you are learning in school?"

Rain quickly realized that she must have said something wrong so she said "Mommy.. One.. One of my classmates also had no father, but his mother married someone and now he has a father… Today, He told me that as long as his mom was happy he could take another man as a father… "

Lana was shocked to hear them "You.. You guys… You guys want to have a father this bad!? Is my love not enough for you guys?"

She felt like her soul was leaving her body. Though she was poor and could not give much to them, who knows their so-called father might be even more poor than her… After all… How could they have set up with a handsome and well off man…

'But my kids are really handsome! Maybe their father… Is he handsome too? He was heavily drugged that day too… He might not even remember about me.. Or maybe he might be a playboy?'

All of a sudden for the first time in years she had such thoughts for that man who almost ruined her life.

But she couldn't take herself to hate him… It's not like he was in his senses… She could tell the way he was shaking, wearing a strange mask!

He was tall and well built but what he did afterwards was a nightmare to her. She hated what happened to her!

Sometimes she had an immense hate for him and sometimes she tried to think of it as her fate!

"Mom!" Alex said but she was so engrossed in her own thoughts that she did not hear him "Mom… Are you zoning out again!?" Alex said firmly which made her jerk out of her thoughts

"Ah.. No! I was just thinking that you guys don't love me anymore at all" She said while pouting.. Controlling her tears not to come out.

"Mom… Please don't take Rain's words to heart… I have promised that I will grow up soon and protect you both.. We don't really need a father at all!"

Alex's faint red eyes were turning a deep shade of red, it was the first time for Lana to see him like this…

It was already strange and unbelievable to have red eyes, she always wanted to know if it was ok to have such color eyes… She was afraid that in future no one would like to interact with her son… But she never would have thought that her son would distance himself with everyone just because of 'her'... His own mother..
