My First Gift Of Appreciation

"No...Momma told us that our daddy is a good man but he will only meet us when we behave…And one day she will let us meet and that day I will bite him to death.."

Raina said while puffing her chubby cheeks in anger...

"My brother is behaving well, just because he want to meet him and teach him a good lesson"

Aiden looked at her and smiled "Sure… I will help you guys on that day" He said and patted her hair...

"Rain.. Are you ok? I was looking for you" Alex had been looking for them almost everywhere but at last he followed Felix and found them in the canteen..

"Alex… I am good, Let's have some burger" Raina turned her head to the voice and saw her brother was standing just a few steps away from her with his worried eyes...

"Ok Rain.. You may have it...I'm not hungry" Alex saw his sister's face which was smiling but there were still some stains of tears on her cheeks...

He took a napkin and went to the washbasin and wetted the corner of it...

Aiden's eyes were following little Alex's every step while Raina was busy in her Burger munching..

He came back and went to Raina and said "Let me wipe your face Rain" He said and Raina quickly came down from her chair while still eating her burger and Alex just wiped her face carefully "Please don't ever cry Rain… I don't like it when you have tears in your eyes.." He said while wiping her mouth where she had the evidence of eating a burger...

She looked at him and then her half eaten burger " Have it brother Alex.. It's really good in taste" She said and offered her half burger to him...

He quietly ate it and smiled when he saw Raina was happy..

Aiden had been looking at all these things very closely and as well as Felix.. He was sitting just next to him and was also looking at all the cute behaviors of Alex for his sister...

"Don't you guys ever fight? I mean I am asking just out of curiosity" Felix asked as he was dying to ask it

"Give me more burger then I will tell you"

"Deal…!!"

As soon as he asked, Raina gave him a condition and he agreed without any second thought...

"Rain… It's really bad manners to disturb others like that… You shouldn't do this " Alex sighed when he saw his sister negotiating with them for no reason.

"Brother.. How is he even another person? He is a relative of our friend" She said while pouting and acting all cute…

"Rain… Do you really want to make friends ?" Alex looked at her when she told him about having friends and all…

His face looked worried. He did not want her to get hurt like she was a few months ago..

She understood that her brother was thinking about those things so she said " Alex.. If these uncles are good then having their kids as our friend is nothing wrong"

Alex did not say anything but her words made both men frown…

Felix ordered a burger and said "Ok...So your order will be here soon now tell me" He once again asked as he was really curious about them… He had generally seen kids fighting over everything with their siblings but they were totally different from all the other kids he had seen till now…

" No we don't… If we quarrel to each other then it will trouble Mommy a lot and brother Alex had told me that we need to take good care of our mother and her health as we don't have father to take care of us"

Raina had said all these words casually but this made Aiden and Felix's heart ache a lot for them and their mother "Is your mother sick?" Felix asked subconsciously..

"I guess she had some… Asma… thama… Asamma...I don't know but she can't breath without her pump sometimes"

The Burger was finally there and this time there was for both of them and Raina said while munching on her food..

"Asthma? Since When?" Asked Felix while smiling but still having a worried tone at her cute words..

"Uncle..Do you think that It is good for us to talk about our mother like that?" Alex said seriously while giving them vibe of a king asking his people to give them some suggestions in a domineering tone

"It was all because of us… She had to go through a lot of stress and work to take care of us" Ignoring Alex, Raina said with a sad face…

"Stop the nonsense Rain… You don't have to talk about it to everyone… Mom would never like it" Alex quickly glared at her and stopped her from saying anything further…

"Uncle… I am so glad that you have helped me and my sister so.." Alex said and put his burger in front of Felix and Aiden and said "This is a small gift of thank you…" He said and pulled his sister to him and walked away…

"Dude…! Don't you think that little fella is something else?" Felix kept on looking at the way they had left and asked Aiden in amusement..

Aiden did not say anything but took off his mask and started eating the burger which Alex had given him…

"My first gift of appreciation" He said with a smile on his face and stood up and left..

Felix was shocked by what he had said and the way he had smiled just now was really too much for him to handle "Dude.. don't leave me alone… Let me come with you too" He said and followed Aiden…
