In Naruto With The Power Of One Piece. Chapter 9

(AN:- I make things look a bit easy in this chap and that's not too realistic so read it with a grain of salt and don't flame me on the comments. I wrote it like a month ago and I am too lazy to change it.)
"That's the only guy I can take out right now, there's a few other guys but they're too far away for me to go after them. The only problem is that he's a medical nin, so he won't be fighting on the front lines, so it'll be hard to find him."
Yama took out the map he bought from the black market and started looking at it. After looking at it for a while, he sighed and shook his head.
"This is troublesome. I have to make a loop around the battlefield to reach the rare side of Sunagakure's army, but that's the safest option, so I have to do it."
He looked at Friday and patted him gently. "Thank goodness you're here, with your nose we don't have to worry about getting caught or ambushed, we can safely get to the back of Sunagakure's forces. But that's for tomorrow, today we'll do some training and rest for the rest of the day."
Yama took out the ninjutsu scrolls the clan head had given him and began practicing them.
A day passed, the next day early in the morning Yama and Friday set off for the battlefield. Soon the temperature began to rise more and more and the trees became thinner and soon they found themselves in a desert.
Yama had never been in a desert in his life, so this was his 1st time being in a desert and luckily for him, the desert heat didn't bother him at all.

Friday was constantly telling him where any shinobi were nearby and they were constantly changing directions to avoid them. It was also the first time in his life that he saw a battlefield. There were broken weapons and scattered body parts lying around on the ground, and there was a heavy smell of blood in the air.
Yama was once again disgusted by the scene, but he wanted more than anything to be strong and free, so this wasn't enough to make him give up. As for Friday, he didn't care at all. As long as he was with Yama, he would be happy.
The two rested for a bit and then continued walking, finally arriving behind the base camp of the Sunagakure forces after 8 hours.
At the moment there weren't many people in the camp as most were at the front. All Yama needed to know now was whether Jo was in the camp or not.
Even if Yama's observation haki wasn't enough to travel the long distance to check if Jo was in the camp or not, he could use his advantage of being Inuzuka to his advantage.
Since his target was a medicine nin, all he had to do was use his sense of smell and figure out where he could smell the most medicinal herbs and poisons because that's where his target would most likely be.
So he would only have to check that one place to find out if his target was in the camp. With Friday's help, he easily found out where the camp's medical room was. Friday also smelled about four people inside the medical room. According to Friday, the four of them had the strength of low level chuunin.
Since this medical room was where they made poison and medicine and not a place where they treated patients, it was very likely that all four of them were medical- nin.

So the chance that Jo was one of the four was very high. Yama was willing to take the risk and make the sneak attack.
The next thing Yama and Friday did was to track down the location of the scouts in Sunagakure's camp. The scouts' main job was to make sure no one snuck into their camp and keep an eye out.
They were usually shinobi with good detection skills and low combat skills. After confirming the location of the scouts, he began to see if there were any high ranking Jonin in the base.
It was no surprise that with the help of Friday, he was able to figure out that there was a high level Jonin in the base.
"Friday, go to the place I showed you earlier and hide there, I'll be right there."
Friday didn't want to leave Yama alone, but he knew once Yama decided on something, he wouldn't change it. So he retreated.
Yama created a shadow clone and had it transform into Minato Namekaze. Then he ordered the clone to reveal itself to the scouts of Suna and pretend to spy on the camp.
The clone did as Yama said. The scouts of Sunagakure immediately recognized Minato, as his fame had skyrocketed due to the war.
To the guards, it looked like Minato hadn't noticed them, so they secretly sent the message back to the camp.
When Chiyo, who was in charge of the camp, heard the message, she smiled and shook her head.
"That brat had potential, but fame seems to have gone to his head too much. Follow me, let's get rid of this brat before he grows up and gives us headaches in the future."
Chiyo wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to kill one of Konoha's geniuses. She wanted to get back at Konoha for killing her children, so this was a very good opportunity to get back at them, so she didn't really think.
Chiyo, along with a few chuunin, left the camp to hunt "Minato".
As soon as Yama sensed someone strong leaving the camp, he ordered his clone to run away and distract them for as long as possible.
Once he made sure Chiyo and the strong chuunin were far away, he rose from his hiding place and rushed towards Suna's camp.
Soon he was spotted by one of the scouts and he began calling for reinforcements. Yama didn't have time to think things through, so he used his ultimate trump card, his Devil Fruit.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
