*woof woof*
Yama looked at Friday. "Are you hungry?"
*woof* Friday nodded his head.
"Well, I am a bit hungry too, we have been running for 5 hours."
Yama stopped running and found a nice place to cook some food.
"If only I had the wood release, my life would be so easy."
Yama and Friday started eating some food. It had been a week since the two of them left the village. They were heading towards the battlefield between Suna and Konoha since it was one of the small battlefields compared to other battlefields.
So far it was smooth sailing for Yama and Friday, they had yet to encounter any danger, and the reason for that was because they were in the center of the land of fire near Konoha so bandits and other shinobi didn't dare to roam around the area.
But now the chance of them running into trouble had increased drastically because they were in the outskirts land of fire and here there were many bandits, shinobis, and missing-nin roaming freely.
After eating the food Yama put on his face mask again to hide his identity. They found a nearby cave and took a rest there for a couple of hours. Yama went over to the sleeping Friday and rubbed his belly.
"Get up you sleepy head, let's get going."
The two of them started running again. After running for about an hour Friday suddenly stopped.
*woof* he barked quietly.
"You can smell humans? How many and how far are they."
Friday could smell a lot farther than what Yama could cover with his Observation Haki. Yama could only cover about a 50-meter radius around him but Friday could pick up on smell from 1000 meters away.
*woof woof*
"5 people huh? Are they strong? Do you feel a sense of danger from them?"

Friday shook his head. Yama smiled and Friday's response.
"Let's go meet our new friends."
Yama and Friday ran in the direction of the 5 people.
After running for a bit the two of them got close to the group. Yama and Friday hid in the trees and observed them for a bit.
The five people were all middle-aged men. All of them were carrying weapons like machetes, axe, and swords. They were sitting near the entrance of the cave, drinking sake, and talking about something.
Yama observed them for a bit more and concluded they were not a threat to him and Friday so he approached them. Even though he didn't consider them a threat he was still cautious.
"Hello, uncles, what are you doing in the middle of the forest."
Yama was tall… for a 6-year-old, he was 4 and a half feet tall. He had a well-defined body but he wasn't muscular. He had long black hair that reached his shoulder and black eyes.
He still had a slightly childish voice. So in the eyes of the 5 men, he was just a small and weak boy or a small, weak, and flat girl.
One fat dude put down his sake bottle and laughed. "Today is our lucky day. 1st we find a rich merchant group and get to rob them without casualties and now we find a cute little girl in our hideout."
The other guy looked at Yama creepily. "Girl why don't you show us your face."
"I call dibs on her 1st, you guys can go after me." The 3rd guy spoke.
"I was a bit nervous to make my 1st kill but you guys are making it easy for me so you have my thanks."
Before anyone could even react Yama took out a kunai flickered next to them and pierced one guy's neck. The blood from his body started to spurt out. When the four guys saw this scene they immediately backed away and took out their weapons.

Yama was also disgusted by the scene and backed away. He wanted to throw up but he couldn't show weakness now. The four people in front of him were ready to kill him the moment he showed weakness.
"Damn it, the kid is a fucking shinobi."
"Sorry sister we didn't know you were a shinobi, we made an honest mistake please forgive us."
"We are just normal civilians, we possess no threat to you please show us mercy."
They were begging for mercy but he could feel their hostility. All of them wanted to tear him apart. This was his first life and death battle so he was nervous too.
"Arnament Haki." He slowly murmured.
His whole body turned black and the Kunai he was holding also turned darker. He didn't want to give them time to attack so he struck first.
He concentrated chakra to his feet and flickered next to one of them again and stabbed him in the chest. The guy next to him swung his axe at him but he ducked under it and slashed his neck. The two remaining guys saw this and started running away.
Yama threw the kunai in his hand towards one of them and it hit him on the head. Friday barked and ran after the last remaining guy.
Yama was completely covered by the blood. He looked around him and his brain slowly started processing what just happened. He could smell the disgusting smell of blood reeking from his body. He couldn't take it anymore and took off his mask started to throw up.
He could hear a faint scream coming from the back. He stood back up and looked back. Friday was dragging an armless person by his leg towards him. He sighed and put his mask back on.
He was now a lot calmer so when Friday brought the last guy back he knocked out the last guy tied him up and went to the nearby river to clean up.
Soon Yama and Friday found a river and started washing up. He didn't even bother cleaning the bloody clothes and just threw them away.

The Way of Wrought Earth, or: My Tale of Rebirth as a Mostly Inanimate Rock
Mirage Winter. Second Clause, current act. A Relic Hunter's life is harsh — and often short — in the shattered lands of the Frontier. But when Whitelight reemerges, a legendary blade capable of separating anything the user wills it to cut, a newly formed unit organized of Hunter’s both young and old (and sediment based, in a particular case) vow to stop it from falling into cruel hands. Standing against them is the Frontier itself: the unbridled wrath of global federations, fellow Hunters, and those who lurk in the shadows of giants. As the world races to unravel a history desperately concealed, a semi-sapient rock soon realizes that some things are better off dead and buried — especially when those secrets carry an insidious corruption with no cure. Iteration: Mirror-glass Stars in Iron Oceans. First Clause. A soul wakes up as a rock, clinging to fragmented memories and knowledge of another era. What fate awaits such a creature? No, this isn't satire. Yes, I am dumb enough to try to take this seriously. Updates Wednesday, Friday with a variable amount of chapters. This story is not recommended for the easily disturbed.
