My Unconventional Delivery System! Chapter 37

The shopping trip had been fun and eventful, he didn't get bored, had it not been for Kanna's presence, this could've been considered as a date with Tohru.
They were still holding hands, from the moment Kyle had asked her to and she had complied by giving her hand, their hands hadn't separated not even once in the entire length of their shopping at the mall. Many onlookers had mistaken them as a couple, though both were slowly moving forward to being one, and many guys as one would expect were seething with Jealousy and unrestrained envy at this public show of affection, their targets, well let's not state the obvious. More times than he could count Kyle truly wanted to know what was up with this trope, could they not do anything other being jealous, being angry at him or being envious, it was stressful being looked at like that, the base problem being it wasn't his fault in the first place, he didn't ask them to look at them, nor did he flaunt in front of them like some brain-dead cliché MC's he was just minding his own business, why people wouldn't mind their own, he didn't know nor did he want to.
He tried his level best to ignore those kinds of people, though occasionally the states were too much and he couldn't hide the discomfort he was feeling from showing on his face, it did disappear as soon as it appeared however. This didn't change the fact that he was truly uncomfortable by being stared at like that. Tohru on the other hand didn't even spare a glance towards anyone that wasn't him, for her only Kyle existed for her now, she even shortly for got about Kanna. Even if they weren't in this intimate situation as this one she wouldn't have paid any heed to the onlooking humans, to her the only humans worthy of her attention was only Kyle and his aunt Kobayashi San.
Time passed on slowly, they were already done buying everything that Kanna needed for a functioning school life; Kanna was very satisfied, happy that she was getting what she wanted, something which would've been impossible in her world thanks to her estranged parents. Kyle had to put a stop to their hand holding, though he had to admit he was feeling reluctant parting with Tohru's soft touch and pleasing warmth, well every good thing had to come to an end such was the case that occured now.
Obviously Tohru was the most disappointed of the duo, it was already stated that if she could she would keep holding onto Kyle's hands forever, sadly it was an impossible wish. Nothing was 'Eternal' the word 'forever' was just a hoax to confuse the brain from leading to the conclusion that everything would have to come to an end sooner or later. Nothing could change that fact.
Kyle's call attracted Tohru's attention and she responded in kind. "What is it, Kyle?"

"Here." Tohru received a black box with artistic designs she had never seen before, it was an aesthetic piece of sight. She was doubtful what to do with it, but after a moment decided to open it, what greeted her sight made her eyes widen in astonishment, clearly shocked to see a beautiful necklace inside the box, this was by all means quite the surprise to her.
"K-kyle...t-this is…?"
Kyle smiled, a smile of affection as he looked at her astonishment, and underneath that an expectant and happy look, he proceeded to answer. "Well.. you were looking at it for quite some time before, so I thought you'd want it so I ended up buying the necklace… am I right? If not then… my bad."
"No, no! I wanted this thank you so much... since you bought it for me I'm very happy." She held the necklace gently, as close to her heart as she could. Her behavior indicated that for her, this was maybe the most precious thing in the world, she was ecstatic, deeply happy to have loved Kyle and fell in love with him all over again. But she couldn't afford to go on a daze right now, she needed something from Kyle, a wish to be granted to make this occasion the happiest of her life, so she continued with a deep pleading tone.
"Uhmm… I have a request, will you hear me out?"
"Sure, what is it?" He immediately nodded.
"C-can you help me wear this necklace please?" Tohru's tone filled with shyness asked, caressing Kyle's ears with its cuteness.
"I'd be happy to do so, it's just a small matter." Tohru passed the necklace to Kyle and he received it, gently he helped her wear it while she kept her hair up, helping him in this endeavor.
"Done! You look absolutely gorgeous with that ornament on, it suits you really well." Kyle nodded in satisfaction, in his moment of admiring Tohru's beauty his real thoughts slipped out, the necklace really was perfect for Tohru it complemented her entire look flawlessly.
The necklace had a huge ruby gemstone in the middle of its white ornament chain, of course it was a fake gem, there was no way he was able to buy a real one, he could afford to buy one, but the explanation afterwards was going to be a pain in the ass so he didn't bother.
He couldn't just say he won it on a lottery either, it wasn't as simple as it may sound, his aunt would immediately catch onto his lie, she was already very skeptical about the whole mansion thing already so he couldn't flaunt his money even if he wanted to; gullible to her nephew she was, a fool she wasn't, in fact Kyle knew for a fact that her aunt was one of the most insightful person he had met in this new world of his, she was just too trustful of him that's why he could get away with lying to her; a slightly sense of guilt arose in his heart for taking advantage of that trust.

He was just waiting for the right time to come clean about owning 10% of the Shinomiya Group's Stocks, there was a time for that, he couldn't just say it out of nowhere or else his aunt would get suspicious and would question him with fervor; questions which had answers he didn't want to give.
Kyle theorized that Tohru already knew that he was lying about the mansion, about Meru giving it to him, but she didn't tell or affirm anything with his aunt about it and he was very grateful to her because of it.
Tohru blushed profusely at Kyle's compliment, her smooth and round white cheeks were dyed in the color of pinkish red, a sign of a maiden in love happy with his lover's present. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, now shall we go home?"
"Mhm! Let's do that." None other than Tohru knew how happy and blissful she felt today. This by far was the happiest day of her life.
Following the instance of giving a present to Tohru, he, Kanna and Tohru all returned home. Tohru happily went on to attend to her maid duties and started cooking dinner for all of them.
Tohru's change in demeanor was all it took for Kobayashi San to notice something had happened, so she sneakily whispered to Kyle. "Hey! Tell me what happened? Tohru seems to be very happy?"
Kyle, a bit awkward at his aunt's interest in the situation, tried to avoid his aunt's whispers, he wasn't really keen on informing his aunt about his love life. With a tone oozing awkwardness he tried to dodge the question. "It's a long story…"
Kobayashi San, now a bit angered, slammed the table near her with her fists, and exclaimed with demand. "Who cares! Just spill the beans!"
Seeing his aunt's antics, he knew it was hopeless to refuse her. After all, when his aunt went on her stubborn mode, she always had a way to get what she wanted, Kyle sighed dejectedly and answered her wishes. "Alright, fine… what happened is.."
..
..
Kyle explained in detail about today's happenings, he took particular care in detailing it clearly so that his aunt won't ask him to repeat it.
Some time later, he finished explaining everything and he could swear that he saw his aunt's glasses flash with light, this strange phenomenon was unexplainable to him till this date, he and already seen it many times and every single time he was in awe and wonder at how in the name of hell their glasses could generate this light!
The thing he was certain about however, was that whenever this phenomenon happened they were planning something annoying.
Kobayashi San stared at him, smiling in amusement and mischief, she responded. "Hohoho~ I see you held hands and asked her to a date, I understand then Kai-chan when is the date?"
"Well… I don't know I don't have a plan yet." He honestly answered.
Kobayashi San touched her glasses, and excitedly replied with enthusiasm. "Leave the planning to me! I'm an expert when it comes to this!"
"What nonsense are you saying? As far as I know you've been single for all your life what expert? That's bullsh-" Before he could even finish his words, his aunt whacked his head with her fist.
"Shut up! Will ya?! Okay I admit I've been single my whole damn life, however I'm still older than you! Besides you're also single ever since the day you were born!"
"Heh, indeed I am single, but not for long, hehe~!" Kyle retorted smugly, snobbishness oozing out of his face and voice, you would want nothing more than to punch him on the face right now.
Such was Kyle's confidence and this confidence made his aunt irritated, however she quickly calmed down because she knew that he was telling the truth after all she could tell that Tohru was deeply in love with her nephew, it was just a matter of time before they became a lovely couple, and she was rooting for them wholeheartedly.
"Sigh~ do you want me to help you or not?"
Kyle immediately answered. "Yes, please!"
"Alright, listen here."
Kobayashi San gave him a few ideas of dates plans, amongst the plans he immediately chose the most ordinary and normal one, which was going into an amusement park.
He chose this because he remembered something from his previous life. Tohru's life from before she came to earth was one of harsh cruelty, as her name suggested, spreading Chaos was her calling and whether she liked it or not she was inclined to do just that, having a normal life was a far fetched dream for her.
So his idea was to make Tohru feel how it was to live like a normal girl. Shortly after, Tohru arrived with several dishes, each dish was looking appetizing and was making their mouth wet with desire, it was evident Tohru had gone all out to cook today, pouring all of her happiness and devotion into cooking said dishes.
Tohru smiled brightly as she announced. "Dinner is served, please enjoy."
At this moment, they felt that Tohru was like a genuine maid. She looked more attractive than usual, her good mood being the most plausible reason to everyone.
Finishing dinner, Kyle approached Tohru and informed her about the date and time of their date, Tohru as expected was so overjoyed by the news that she almost fainted right then and there.
The date was set to be held between the Dragon of Chaos and the young Minor God of Humanity, and the date set was the day after tomorrow. Only time would tell what date had in store for their long overdue date.
