My Unconventional Delivery System! Chapter 28

**Kobayashi Kyle's PoV**
I was driving my motorcycle to the location of the person ordering the takeaway, while driving, my eyes wandered towards the people, noticing that most if not all were looking in my direction.
I didn't need to ponder to know why they're looking at me like an extinct animal showcased in a zoo, it's because of my motorcycle and style of clothing. It's inevitable, due to my origin.
Due to the crowded streets I was fairly slow in riding my bike, faint whispers and murmurs registered in my ears, their source the everyday crowd of villagers.
"Woah.. what is he riding? Is that perhaps a horse that is made out of metal?!"
"That's possible! Though it's a bit different from an actual horse.. how do I say this… it looks kinda cool?!"
"Mama! This Onii-san is wearing strange red clothes!"
..
..
The whispers were mostly irritating, so I ignored them, trying my best to not let the irritation I felt reflect on my face. With the crowds now thinned out, I sped up the last few tens of meters to my destination.
A few moments of relatively fast driving later, I again slowed down as the surroundings changed turning from the desolate road to a haunting atmosphere placed with several houses giving off an eerie aura of silence. Even with the densely packed number of houses, strangely no people could be found. I wasn't dumb enough to not understand the obvious, that this situation was anything but normal.
Again remembering which world I was currently at, it became obvious that this situation had something to do with demons, I wasn't afraid however, I was sure that no demons of this world were able to harm or even so much as touch me. None of them had the powers to ward off my defensive measures, at least not with their conventional means. I didn't remember any powerful demons with any unconventional means of harming me either so I was pretty much certain that I would be absolutely safe. But remembering Murphy's law I was still vigilant, I couldn't take anything for granted in the dangerous line of work I was currently involved in.
After a few seconds of driving while pondering, I finally arrived at my targeted place.
I could see 2 young girls there, wearing the traditional Demon Slayer uniforms in a precarious situation, seeing those girls and that particular sight, the memories related to this world came rushing back to me.
'I remember now! These 2 girls are Shinobu Kocho and Kanae Kocho. I have read this particular scene in the manga.. So, that's why I needed the first aid kit huh, I need to hurry then.'
I immediately sped up getting there as fast as I could. Arriving, I immediately noticed Shinobu being wary of me, and I couldn't blame her for that, not even a little, so I just went on to the next segment of my delivery.
"Your delivery order has arrived! I apologise if you had to wait too long!"
"Huh?"
**Completion of PoV**
Shinobu was stunned, hearing the words of this eccentric person; she understood his words yes, he was speaking japanese, albeit a bit weirdly but it was still understandable, the meaning of those words however were a completely different aspect.

'What does he mean my delivery has arrived? I don't ever recall asking for something like a delivery… just who is this person?' Shinobu became more cautious of Kyle.
Demons might be dangerous, but humans were the same, if not worse. Her voice was one of threat, as she spoke harshly. "You.. what do you want?"
Her feelings were a mess, it can't be helped, her sister was dying in her arms, her breaths shallowing by the second and now a strange person had arrived, a person who may contain malicious intentions towards the weakened duo.
Her vigilance was heightening by the second, Kyle knew he had to speak, if not the atmosphere would turn to one of misunderstanding and mistrust, he noticed Shinobu shifting her hands ever so slowly towards her katana, gripping it and ready for a sudden strike, ready to behead him or at least injure him at the first signs of something out of the norm.
"Little miss, calm down! Can you please, at the very least, listen to me before treating me as a bad person? Please calm down, there's nothing to be afraid of, I mean no harm." His calming words chipped off some of the agitation Shinobu felt, yet her vigilance remained the same.
Shinobu responded cautiously. ".... alright then, I am listening, prove to me that you are what you proclaim yourself to be, be warned of the consequences of lying however."
He sighed in relief, at least she was sensible enough to let him explain, so he did just that. "You see, my job or you could say line of work is to deliver items which are needed by certain individuals, but my job description isn't important. What is though... you made a wish right? A wish to have equipment and medicine to be able to save, I'll throw a wild guess and say, your sister, right?"
Kyle pointed at Kanae whose face was already deathly pale, hearing his words, Shinobu's entire being was shaken. 'H-how could he know about it? Is he God? No, no.. who am I kidding, there can never be a God as ugly as him.'
Strangely Kyle felt the sensation of being mocked at right now, it wasn't the moment to think about unnecessary things however. "Cough- anyway here are the things that you wished for."
He unmounted from his motorcycle and opened his space inventory, taking out all of the first aid kits that he had bought, ranging from the smallest to the biggest. He had really bought every variety he could find. He only wished that he had gotten the right one, he didn't know what he would do otherwise.
This action of his made Shinobu dumbstruck, she couldn't believe what she had seen just now, this stranger just took some things out of the air, just like that!
Was he a demon?! No he couldn't be a demon, then was he really God?
After getting all of the first aid kits out from his space inventory, he finally noticed the shock of Shinobu's face, which was simply amusing.
"These boxes are filled with medical equipment and medicine, you can try to save your sister now, I know that only you can do it." Kyle continued the rest of his sentence, only it was continued in his mind. 'Because I have no idea how to treat someone.'

His words snapped Shinobu out of her daze and right into reality, she exclaimed as she registered his words. "Really?! Do these red boxes really have medical equipment and medicine?!"
There was a hint of excitement, expectation but mostly hope in her voice, a hope she had been rapidly losing before Kyle's arrival, Kyle nodded and smiled. "Yeah, open it."
Without hesitation, Shinobu opened the first aid kits one by one and saw various kinds of medical equipment and medicine. Shinobu's heart was filled with hope at this sight.
She could save her sister with this! She was sure. Now she didn't have the slightest doubt that Kyle was a legitimate God!
"Kami-sama! Thank you!" Shinobu was very grateful at this moment.
"You're welco- Eh? Wait! Kami-sama?! Hey, I'm not a god!" He immediately denied her claim, Shinobu couldn't hear him anymore however, too busy being completely immersed in these medical equipment.
Even though these equipment looked futuristic and there were some she couldn't even recognize, she was a genius in medication after all. She would be able to figure it out in no time.
And it didn't either, she now has a grasp at the purpose of every equipment, and now she was sniffing every medicine available trying to understand the properties of each of them. She was highly sensitive to smell and understanding medical properties by just sniffing at them was her innate ability. A ridiculous bullshit ability that completely denied logic just like Tanjirou's ability to distinguish the world just by smell.
Seeing that she didn't listen, Kyle sighed and didn't interrupt her anymore, the next moment, Shinobu was done with her preparation and was ready to start the operation. "Onee-san don't worry I'll definitely save you!"
Kanae couldn't hear her though, her consciousness was already gone and her soul was slowly fading away from her body.
Shinobu didn't panic and started treating her sister's injury.
Kyle was looking at this magical scene in unrestrained awe, even those so-called prodigies of his world couldn't compare to Shinobu's medical skill alone!
What was Godly? This was in all sense of the word Godly! It was like seeing the God of Medicine herself, in action, she skillfully sewed the terrible wounds of Kanae, she moved so fast that Kyle could barely see her hand movements. Most of the time he only saw wounds vanish and mend itself as if it was magic rather than handy work.
'She is totally using her breathing technique, right now.' he thought with wonder seeing her visage as she pulled a medical miracle.
The operation lasted for about half an hour, even with her speed and vast skills it stretched to this extent signifying the extent of Kanae's injuries, Shinobu wiped the sweat that gathered in her forehead, due to the concentration she wasn't able to tend to it, she took a deep breath relaxing herself and her body from the constant tensed state and sighed in relief and happiness. "Haaaa~ with this my sister is safe!"
A bright smile was hanging on her childish face, unlike in the original series this smile of hers was genuine and absolutely real, she was a child after all and the event leading to her original manga self was now mended by Kyle's interference.
She stared at Kyle, gratefulness visible along with deep respect for the one she believed to be her God. "Kami-sama, thank you for granting my wish, now my sister is saved from death. Thank you, no words are enough to show the gratitude I feel."
He immediately shook his head and answered to correct her. "Don't misunderstand I'm no god, I'm just a delivery guy there is no way I can be a god."
"Alright, I believe you Kami-sama."
"No like I said I'm not a god."
"Yes, yes you are not." Shinobu gave him a smile that showcased that she didn't understand anything at all.
"Ugh…" He was having a headache. 'This girl clearly doesn't believe me, however I'm telling the truth, I hate this anime trope, whatever, forget it. She'll eventually realize that I'm no god... anyway since her sister is already saved I should be able to go back.'
..
..
..
An hour after the operation :-
Kanae regained her consciousness, but his system still didn't issue him a return message, he wasn't in a rush though since his world was in stasis as he did deliveries. He would like to stay here for a while, he was certain that his next delivery won't come any sooner so he had all the intentions to enjoy this world for as long as he was allowed to.
Besides, he was very happy to see the sight of the two sisters hugging each other, he didn't mean it in a lewd way, he was just happy to see the pure sight of happiness that was unfolding before him. He knew that with his interference, the whole plot of Demon Slayer was changed!
He suddenly remembered the 2 cups of ramen that were the requirements for the delivery, he took them out from his space inventory, the 2 cups of ramen were already completely cooked even before arriving here, he had done it to save some time.
He just used the space inventory so that it wouldn't get cold, the inventory had the standard time stop function so he used it. Kyle went towards the sisters and gave Shinobu the 2 cups of ramen.
Shinobu unconsciously received it and asked, confused at the sight of the unknown items. "Kami-sama, this is?"
"It's ramen, you guys should eat it while it's warm."
Hearing him both of the sisters were looking each other in the eyes and stated the exact same words in the exact shocked tone. ""This is ramen?"'
Kyle nodded, both of the sisters enjoyed eating the cup ramen together, both were hungry from their struggles after all.
He enjoyed watching them eating cup ramen with a blissful expression hanging on their youthful faces. It was an adorable sight. One of the few reasons he loved this unconventional job of his.

This is my first work and I will hopefully stay around for a while. I will try to finish or at least expand on this piece of work for quite some time, expect a few hiatuses in between though, still have a bit of schooling to do. Expected release dates will probably be once a week(not sure yet) after I stabilized the novel a bit as I'm still debating on how I should handle this. I prefer fleshed-out works compared to quick releases, but it also depends on how I'm feeling. I don't have a lot of confidence in my writing skills and I believe that my writing style is a bit weird, but I do want to try my best to tell a story that's worth telling. I will gladly accept criticism but please try to pull the punches back a bit! I'm still only human after all. Very excited to work on this, please take good care of me as I proceed on this journey with all of you! P.S. If you're going into my series, expect to see cliches sprinkled here and there. I personally love cliches and a few tropes! But, that goes without saying, I want to put my own spin on them. Be ready to feel the edge!!! Heh.
