My Unconventional Delivery System! Chapter 11

The Black Dragon called Kuro was eating the chicken curry at a moderate speed, while taking some glances at Kyle from time to time.
You don't need to be a Brainiac to understand that Kuro was very interested in Kyle. It wasn't the romantic kind of interest no, or even something that was remotely close to it.
The interest lay in the fact that Kyle was a human. And if her assumptions were correct then he should be a simple one with next to no power. But this seemingly weak yet fragile being had somehow survived after being in close proximity to her full magical form. She, The Great Dragon of Death was a plague like being and so powerful that just her presence was enough to kill every being surrounding her. Which was basically why she was living in this lonesome rock in the first place.
This was new to her, as far as she knew only the other 6 great dragons were able to take her full form's aura nowadays without not getting hurt nowadays. It wasn't like this in the olden days it was much better than, the beings were strong, strong enough to live in her presence, but now it was simply hopeless for her to live anywhere resembling life.
Meanwhile, Kyle had noticed that Kuro was taking some occasional glances at her. He even had a shameless assumption spinning in his head 'Did she notice my charm and instantly fell in love with me?
That thought didn't last long though. 'Who am I kidding?! I'm really getting shameless nowadays, after getting confessed by a girl my shamelessness seems to have gotten to a new high, even though that girl was just a child.' Thinking till here Kyle shrugged helplessly, thinking of reining down his arrogance.
He himself knew the best how he looked. He was lanky and thin. He didn't look that great either, just a little bit above average. A 5.5/10 if he had to rate.
Even though he was a bit above average, his eyes gave him a bad vibe. It downed all the handsome factors of his face. He had a pretty shapely face not in the territory of handsome but enough but his dead fish like eyes took all the handsome factor away.
Because of that factor he had a very average life, pitifully so. It created an intimidation factor that scared the bullies away. Problem was, it also scared the ones he wanted to be friends with away too. So, he had very few friends in his life as a result.
He wasn't sure at this point if he should be grateful or for having eyes like these or just be hateful of them.
Kuro was done eating everything after merely an hour of continuous food intake.
It was strange to imagine a girl who was shorter and smaller than you and still able to finish 30 plates of chicken curry with ease, when you couldn't properly finish two.

But all of it felt right when you knew about the true form of the short girl. It was more than likely that the meal was nowhere near enough to satiate her hunger fully. He didn't even know if it was possible for a dragon like her to be fully satisfied or not.
Finishing her last bite, she spoke using telepathy. "It was very good."
Kyle smiled at her praise, it wasn't every day that you got to hear the compliments of one of the great 7 dragons, who were comparable to gods in this world! It became doubly worthwhile when you remember that the one who got praised was nothing more than a normal human.
"Thank you for your praise."
"Umu, no problem."
Kyle then decided to ask her name, even though he knew it already, for formalities sake.
"This is quite late but, can I ask for your name? I can't just keep calling you black dragon. Well I could if you want, but feels awkward nonetheless."
"It's Kuro, you can call me that."
"Alright then Kuro-san! My name is Kobayashi Kyle. I'm a delivery guy, it was my pleasure to be your acquaintance."
"Same here."
While they were greeting each other, a door abruptly fell from space and landed on the moon near their location.
Boom!
It created a little shockwave, but it was incomparable to the one which was created when Kuro landed, the difference was mind boggling.
But even so, it made Kyle cough once again.
"Cough- Cough- what the hell! Give me a break man!"
While he was complaining, Kuro spoke using telepathy. "It's here."
Kyle stared at the door that had a Neko sign hanging on it and pondered 'Yep, this is the door to the restaurant of another world… no wait, is this restaurant in my transmigrated world?'
He wasn't sure, but he had 60% surety that the door led to a restaurant in his world.
While he was thinking of that possibility, Kuro was already at the door holding the door knob, before she opened it she stared at Kyle and asked politely.
"Wanna come in?"
Kyle didn't expect her to invite him, and asked, a bit unsure. "Can I?"
Kuro slightly nodded, and Kyle, after getting the confirmation immediately went near the door.
The System didn't issue him to return yet, and he was also curious if his hunch about the door leading to a restaurant of his own world was right or not.
He wanted to confirm it, so as Kuro opened the door he went alongside her.
When Kuro opened the door, there was light accompanied by the jingle sounds of the little bell attached to the door, it and a soothing melody to it.
Kuro was the first to enter and was immediately greeted by a cute orange haired demon with inverted goat-like horns protruding from her head and curling downwards towards her sides. She was wearing an official server maid uniform and holding a salver. Her expressions exuded her youthful charm and bright, cheerful nature. She was truly a wonderful sight to behold.

Her name was Aletta, a demon who was working on this restaurant of another world.
"Welcome Kuro-san!" She happily smiled, but soon realized that there was someone else other than Kuro who came inside with her.
She was a bit surprised, according to her knowledge, Kuro lived on the moon to distance herself from the living and there was no way someone could live or even survive there without being a dragon like her!
Aletta sized up the lanky youth coming along with Kuro, unveiled curiosity rippling in her youthful eyes. Her first thought was that this lanky, average guy with those scary eyes should be a dragon like Kuro!
She was startled yes, but she didn't forget her manners and immediately greeted the new arrival near Kuro!
"Ah! Welcome! I'm extremely sorry for not noticing you sooner, customer-san."
Kyle waved his hands in dismissal, speaking in a friendly tone instead. "It's fine, mind if I sit down for a meal?"
"A-ah! Forgive me! Please do sit down! You can sit anywhere since there isn't anyone here yet!"
"Alright." Kyle stated and sat at the nearest table.
Kuro looked at him and spoke. "Then I'll have to leave you here, I work in this place, so i need to attend to it."
"You work here? That's a bit surprising, but sure go on, don't mind me." Kyle pretended to be surprised and assured her to go to her work.
Kuro slightly nodded, and replied. "Then, excuse me. Do enjoy your time here."
She went towards the kitchen and Aletta gave Kyle the menu.
"Customer-san, this is our menu. You can choose anything to order from here, all the dishes are available, call me when you're ready to order."
"Okay, I'll do that."
"Then, excuse me." Aletta went towards the corner, waiting for his orders and for the arrival of the customers.
Kyle was a bit amused actually, Aletta thought that he didn't know the existence of the menu, but he didn't mind, why would he since she had no reason to know that he was a transmigator with anime knowledge.
He started to look at the content of the menu, and thought 'As expected… I can't understand a single thing… but at least there are some pictures.'
After a few minutes of looking at everything on the menu, some customers entered the restaurant one by one.
So far there were 4 customers including him, after a bit more looking, he decided to call Aletta.
"Have you picked your orders, customer-san?"
"Well I have, but for starters can you call the Master of this place, please? I would like to talk to him in person, it's very urgent."
"U-uhmm… o-okay?" Aletta, again confused, still went towards the kitchen to call the Master of this place.
Kyle wondered what his name was, he knew that the anime didn't reveal his name, neither did any media he searched for in his previous life, it was still a mystery.
While waiting, he took his cellphone out of his pocket and looked through it to pass his time, what greeted him was an unexpected outcome he didn't quite expect and exclaimed.
"Ohhh! There really is a freaking WiFi here!"
The other customers were looking at him strangely, understandable since they didn't know what he was talking about.
Kyle didn't really care and quickly looked through the internet, to be precise he looked at the map and searched his current location, the outcome… was exactly what he thought it to be.
This building was located in Kyoto! It wasn't that far from Tokyo, where he was currently living.
It was then that the Master of the restaurant finally arrived and saw the spectacle of Kyle using his phone.
As he saw this he was evidently shocked!
He thought inwardly 'How? This young man isn't from another world but from my world! He's actually wearing a uniform for the MgRonald employees! More importantly he is also using a cellphone!'
So he immediately went toward Kyle's table, as curious as he was right now serving the customers was the first priority!
"Customer-san, I heard from my waitress that you called me here."
"Well, yes Master, I'll be straight to the point then. I don't know what kind of currency that these people around me use here, but will it be alright for me, if i paid in Yen instead? I honestly don't have the currency from the other world these guys usually use."
Hearing Kyle, the master was assured of his guess. "I was right... you're really from this world, aren't you?"
"Me too, I just got to know that this place is in Kyoto. By the way, I'm from Tokyo and please don't ask how I got here. It's a bit complicated."
No matter what, he wouldn't tell anyone at least not those he didn't trust about his system because that would simply be foolish of him to do that.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

The Edgars
A serial killer is wreaking havoc in a small European village, and Charles Edgar believes his estranged brother to be the culprit. But little does he know that a much darker truth lies behind the bloodshed; one that will bring betrayal and destruction to the entire Edgar lineage. (This is a one-act play. A (beat) indicates a pause in the dialogue.) Also, please feel free to rip this story apart in the reviews (if you're so inclined). I really want to improve as a writer, so any criticisms are more than welcomed.
