Chapter 1216: 1216
Chapter 1216: Si Mobai Is Here
Su Jingfeng quickly raised his hand to counterattack and turned around to leave. Not only was he injured, but he and Wu Ya were always at a tie when they fought in their previous and current lives. There was no need to waste time here.
Si Mobai had no intention to chase after him. Instead, he carefully carried Feng Tianlan, who was covered in blood, and said in a slightly trembling voice, “Lan’er.”
Red Cutie-pie flew over and looked at Feng Tianlan, who had fainted, and cried out in distress.
Seeing that the bottom had collapsed and was no longer in good shape, Si Mobai raised his head and looked at Feng Shu, who was on Red Cutie-pie’s back, “Protect her well.”
He wanted to find a place nearby to rest and treat Lan’er’s injuries first. Fortunately, she had a healing vine on her body. Otherwise, she would need at least ten days to half a month to recover from such a serious injury.
…
Si Mobai looked at Feng Shu, who was sitting at the head of the bed. She was hugging the urn tightly and her eyes were fixed on Feng Tianlan, who was lying on the bed. It was normal for her to be looking at him like this, but it was not normal either.
“Mother-in-law, I’ll take care of Lan’er. You should take a rest first,” Si Mobai said gently. This was his future mother-in-law, so his voice could not be cold and his attitude had to be good.
Even though his mother-in-law was not in the right mental state, she seemed to have some reaction and was especially protective of Lan’er!
Just as he found a place to settle down, he wanted to strip Lan’er naked and apply some medicine on her. However, his mother-in-law stopped him, refused to let him take off Lan’er’s clothes. He was patient and explained to her, but she refused to compromise. In the end, it was his mother-in-law who applied medication for Lan’er and change her clothes, she didn’t even allow him to look at her!

If she wasn’t Lan’er’s mother, he wouldn’t have been so patient with her!
Feng Shu didn’t say anything. She just stared at the unconscious Feng Tianlan. Her lifeless eyes were filled with fear, afraid of losing her.
Si Mobai tried to persuade her a few more times but failed. He could only compromise. After all, she was his mother-in-law, and he had to respect his elders!
“Mother! Lapis Lazuli!”
The terrified cry attracted both their attention. Feng Tianlan suddenly sat up and breathed heavily. Her face was covered in a cold sweat.
Feng Shu hugged the urn with one hand and Feng Tianlan with the other. She patted Feng Tianlan’s back gently, “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid.”
Feng Tianlan turned her head and saw that it was Feng Shu. She leaned weakly on her shoulder and breathed heavily, “Mother, I’m so glad that you’re okay.”
She had a dream. She dreamed that she was fighting with Su Jingfeng and that the ground had collapsed. Her mother had fallen into a crack in the ground and was buried. Lapis Lazuli was also missing, which woke her up with a startled.
Feng Shu only hugged her and repeated the words, “Don’t be afraid”.
“Lan’er,” Si Mobai lowered his eyes and looked at Feng Tianlan gently. Seeing that she trusted Feng Shu so much and did not guard against Feng Shu at all, he was happy for her. In the past, when she had nightmares, it would not be easy for her to calm down so quickly.
Hearing his voice, Feng Tianlan looked up and saw Si Mobai. The zhusha mole between his brows turned even redder as if it was about to drip out. When she recalled what happened before she fainted, she suddenly realized that the fight between her and Su Jingfeng was not a dream.

“You used the natal contract again!” Feng Tianlan looked at the zhusha mole between his brows and instantly felt her heart ached. For her, he had used the natal contract again and again. This was extremely harmful to his spiritual force and body.
Si Mobai took out an embroidered handkerchief and wiped the cold sweat off her face. In a gentle voice, he asked, “Does your body still hurt?”
As long as Lan’er was fine, nothing else mattered.

Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider.
