Xi Jin was kneeling on the ground with a finger into his mouth, forcing himself to vomit. There was a lot of vomit, yellow bile juice, and red blood.

“Jin’er.”
Feng Tianlan, the emperor, and the empress ran towards him without caring about Shen Yunya after seeing him in such a state.
Shen Yunya was looking at Xi Jin while laughing like a maniac. When she saw Feng Tianlan running over, she laughed out loud. “Shen Qingdai, you don’t have to protect this…ah!”

Before Shen Yunya could finish what she was saying, she felt something crash into her stomach, forcing her backward. She reached out subconsciously and grabbed a handful of hair. Bang! She fell onto the ground.
A person fell on top of her. Just as she was about to push him away, her throat was brutally bitten.
“Ah!” Shen Yunya let out a shrill cry. She lowered down her head and saw Jiang Ying’s side profile. She slapped his head with her hand. “Jiang Ying, let go of me!”

As I wrote the other story years ago I felt it would be better to do this approach as my writing has changed and improved since then. For now only two characters will return though I might reintroduce others later in the story. Even though this has the gore tag, I don't plan on being excessive with it. Most chapters shouldn't have any. The only reason I have it is to be realistic with the descriptions.
