“You’re right. Some people really think they are superior to others and look down on them. When others rise above them, they just want to see them fall. Even if they don’t fall, they will make them fall. However, they don’t know that they are the clowns.”
“I think the Demon Princess Consort’s temper is quite good. If I was at her level, I would make them kneel down and beg me for mercy with my power and influence. They asked her not to depend on the Demon King if she is capable enough. Why aren’t they capable enough to find themselves good support?”
“Haha. They are the kind of person who thinks that if they are weak and can’t win that the other person must lower themselves and make themselves weaker than them so that they can hit you while you can’t do anything about it. They are simply fools. They think that everyone is as stupid as they are.”
“…”
There were people like them who couldn’t win because they were weak but wished others to reduce their strength until it was lower than theirs. They would then beat them up after that. They thought that they were Emperor and everyone should listen to them.
Such people were fools. Yet they thought that others were fools as well.
Shui Jue was quietly listening to their conversations. He wanted to say that Her Highness’s temper was actually very bad. Her good temper was just for show. Her Highness was someone who would cheat a person and that person wouldn’t even dare to let out a single fart in protest.
After the crowd dispersed, Dongfang Chu came over while shaking her slim waist, which looked like a willow branch that could be broken easily. “Sister Lan…”

“If Miss Dongfang doesn’t recall what I said previously, I don’t mind making you remember through force.” Feng Tianlan raised her head and looked at Dongfang Chu, who looked sick and weak as if she would collapse at any moment.
Feng Tianlan really hated such pretentious people. She was worse than Yuan Haizhen, who would say whatever was on her mind instead of saying things that had countless cutting meanings hidden behind them. One would be stabbed to death by her words if one was not careful.
Dongfang Chu wrinkled her eyebrows that looked like willow leaves. She weighed her words for a while, then spoke weakly, saying, “Since Miss Shen belongs to the Demon King right now, your actions must have some bearings. How can you do bad things in the name of the Demon King and tarnish his reputation?”
“Huh?” Feng Tianlan squinted her eyes slightly. She then looked at Dongfang Chu in a mocking manner. “Don’t do bad things and tarnish Mobai’s reputation? Are you lecturing me right now?”
“I wouldn’t dare. It’s just that if you really like the Demon King, you should think about him instead of bullying the weak here in his name and tarnishing his reputation, giving him trouble while he is busy taking care of business outside of the city.”
Dongfang Chu was apologizing sincerely as if Feng Tianlan was the bad guy who had done bad deeds in the name of the Demon King.
After hearing what Dongfang Chu said, Feng Tianlan laughed in a mocking manner. She then stared at Dongfang Chu while regaining her composure. “So? What do you think I should do?”
She said that she didn’t dare to lecture Feng Tianlan in a tone that sounded like a concubine talking to a principal wife. Besides, the second part of her sentence sounded like a principal wife lecturing her. How did Dongfang Chu become so shameless as to talk to her like that?

When Dongfang Chu saw Feng Tianlan resting her face on top of her hand while staring, as if she was listening to her attentively, she forgot her position and gave her opinions and advice nonstop.
“Since the Demon King is not around, you should stay in the manor quietly and wait for his return. You should settle the things at home instead of being jealous and doing something that tarnishes the Demon King’s name. You shouldn’t show up and do things that might be used against you. If you really love the Demon King, you should treat him as the center of the universe. You should treat the Demon King as your sky…”
Feng Tianlan squinted her eyes slightly and stared at Dongfang Chu quietly.
“You are using the Demon King’s name to commit evil right now. This will only make others suspect that you only like the Demon King’s power. That your love for him isn’t true. If that’s the case, you are not good enough for the Demon King!”
“Are you done?” Feng Tianlan’s cold eyes widened as she stood up slowly…

Path of the Ancients
When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest. Content Warning Note: They are there to cover my behind. I honestly hesitated to put them there at all but I figured better safe than sorry. Gore in particular barely applies and the sexual content amounts to light Cinemax style at best. But, at least now you can’t say I didn’t warn you. POSTED: Currently, this story is being posted to RoyalRoad and ScribbleHub. If you see this story posted anywhere else, please report it to the user "Tyrial" on either of the aforementioned sites. A Tale From Azaad
Desperate and wandering, a young lord stumbles upon unknown knowledge that can help to overturn his peoples’ destiny. But can he rise to bring the prosperity his people need, or fall before it can ever take shape? AN: I hate writing synopses, so I'd recommend reading a few chapters before making a decision. Also, it's tagged as an isekai but those tropes don't appear. Warnings: I mention them, but there are a few chapters that are really gruesome. Furthermore, the innovations and advancements don't come into play until a lot later, though the framework for it all is built up early. Inspirations: South Asian history, Tales of a Reincarnated Lord and some of the histroical and kingdom-building stories on RR are inspirations for this work. If you enjoy politics, clever strategies, nation-building and technological advancement, then this story might interest you. Schedule: New chapter every Saturday at 3PM PST.

Is Lucas Destined to Die in the New World?
Lucas imagined himself doing grander things in life; after all, he put in his own blood, sweat, and tears, and got himself a master's degree in English. Maybe he'd be the next best-selling author, or maybe the most popular late night TV show host. However, life didn't give him anything more than a management position at the local burger joint. Day in and day out, he flipped burgers, swept floors, and made weekly schedules that his employees ignored. All he had known for the past five years of his life was pure misery. Then after one night of drunken revelry, he found himself in an unfamiliar world, but he knew all the gimmicks. He knew these stories had quirks he could manipulate- he could put all his stats into magic and become the best wizard in the world, or he could dump all his stats into strength and become a veritable warrior. But once again, just like Earth, this new world seemed to have different plans for him. Instead, he was given a luck stat of 0 and a skill that forced him into danger where there should have been none. Why is this nerdy, magical paradise trying to kill him? Content warnings are there to give me some creative legroom later. There's not an excess of any gruesome content in the story, and what is there is tastefully sprinkled in. This is a LitRPG. Updates are twice a week on Mon/Fri plus some extras here and there.
