She was only going to go see for herself and come back . It would be very quick .

Si Mobai looked at the vanishing figure . He leaned his whole body weakly against the door frame and raised his hand to look at the scar that had not yet come off of his palm . Why did she only care about Xi Jin?

In the end, he worried about her weak body and fretted over her safety . Even if he felt pain in his heart, he would still get up and lightly tap the tip of his toes to secretly follow her . Even if she had wanted to leave him behind, he could not bear to leave her .

Feng Tianlan ran out of the door to Bailan Alliance and immediately bumped into Azurite .

Azurite said in a worried tone, “Miss, you are still physically weak . Why are you not resting and going out instead? Is anything the matter? Anything that I, your slave servant, can handle? How about His Highness?”

Miss was still physically weak . How could His Highness let Miss go out alone?

“I’m going to take a look at Xi Jin,” Feng Tianlan said as she ran past Azurite .

“You’re going to see the Crown Prince?” Azurite stared blankly and quickly turned around to follow along at Feng Tianlan’s side and report, “Miss, I, your slave servant, just came back from the East Palace . The Crown Prince had already woken up when I left . He’s all right . You’d better go back and rest . ”

Feng Tianlan stopped and looked at her, confused . “He’s awake? Isn’t he already…?” she asked .

“The Crown Prince was saved that day by His Highness . However, because the poison had taken hold too deeply, he did not wake up for a while . Also, I had just gone to the East Palace to deliver the blood . I was about to leave when he woke up,” Azurite explained .

Feng Tianlan was confused by what she heard . She looked at Azurite, completely baffled, and asked, “Mobai saved his life? You delivered blood to the East Palace?”

Azurite nodded and said, “After Miss had lost consciousness, His Highness cut the heart of his palm and let blood to feed the Crown Prince . Because the poison had gone too deep, it had to be done for three days in a row . So, he let blood again this morning which I delivered to the East Palace . ”

“But Mobai said he was dead . ” Feng Tianlan frowned . Who should she believe?

Azurite stared blankly and grumbled to herself, “What’s going on with His Highness? He clearly knows that Miss is worried about the Crown Prince, and yet he deliberately deceives Miss . I really don’t know what His Highness has in his mind . ”

“But…” Feng Tianlan looked at the people coming and going in the streets . There were no sad expressions on their faces . If the Crown Prince had died, there would be mourning across the nation . It would definitely not be the way it was now, with people acting as if nothing had happened .

If the entire nation was not in mourning, that meant Xi Jin was not dead . But why had Mobai lied to her?

Feng Tianlan thought of something and suddenly turned around to run back . “Mobai,” she called .

Azurite stayed standing in place in a daze . She frowned and then remembered the incident in the East Palace from a few days ago . She suddenly realized what happened and said, “His Highness and Miss had a fight . ”

Feng Tianlan ran back to Si Feng Pavilion and cried out, “Mobai, I’m back . ”

But there was no response in the empty courtyard .

Feng Tianlan ran into the room again . The bed was still messy like it had been when she had left earlier . However, there was not a tall, straight-as-a-pine-tree figure in sight . Her heart tensed, and she could not help but panic . “Mobai,” she called again .

She did not hear Si Mobai’s voice, despite it usually being available at almost any time . It made her even more panicked . Mobai was angry! Mobai was sad . Had Mobai left?

Feng Tianlan opened the door to the bathroom in a panic . There was no sight of him . She went to the courtyard again, and there was still no sight of him . She searched the study, kitchen, and even the roof . She scoured through every corner of Si Feng Pavilion, but he was nowhere to be found .

“Mobai, I’m back . Where are you?” Feng Tianlan stood in the courtyard, looking at the empty and silent Si Feng Pavilion . She felt as if her heart was empty as well .

Mobai was really angry this time . Was he ignoring her?

He said that if she left the courtyard, then he would…
