Feng Tianlan watched as the thick bolt of lightning tore the sky and struck the earth . It called out almost like a whisper, “Nansheng . ”
Thud! Something fell heavily on her side . The water on the ground splashed onto Feng Tianlan, who turned her head and looked sideways . Little by little, her irises constricted, and then widened, reflecting the smile solidified on Gu Nansheng’s face .
She saw a long, long wound stretch along Gu Nansheng’s throat, and blood spilled forth from the gaping wound like spring water . Gurgle, gurgle, they flowed out of her neck and spilled all over the ground, mixing in with rainwater and becoming a puddle of rain in an instant .
Gu Nansheng’s eyes widened as she stared into Feng Tianlan’s eyes . Slowly, she shut her eyelids, and a small smile formed on her lips, which then stiffened . Tianlan was safe . How glad she was!
“Nansheng!” Feng Tianlan gaped in shock, and rainwater rushed into her mouth . She screamed soundlessly .
That black shadow landed right beside Feng Tianlan and looked down, as if watching a lowly being, “Tsk, to think that you’re still alive . I’ll send you off again then!”
As the black shadow said that, he gathered Spiritual Force atop his palm and struck down onto Feng Tianlan’s skull with great power!
A ray of red light suddenly flashed from between Feng Tianlan’s brows, plunging straight into that ball of Spiritual Force . It charged at the black shadow, which immediately dodged to the side!
The unleashed red light sliced the stormy and thunderous night, shooting straight to the upper sky . At that moment, it lit up the night!
“Kill him!” Feng Tianlan stared at the smile that lingered on Gu Nansheng’s face, and slowly sat up . Her voice was as icy as the glacial blades of winter!

The whistle of the phoenix echoed, and it rushed down towards the black-clad man!
The black-clad man tried to run, but how could he ever compare to the speed of the Fire Phoenix? He felt a searing pain on his back . One scratch from the phoenix’s claw, and he began to burn, ultimately reduced to a pile of ashes .
The flames of the Fire Phoenix scorched the vines on her body, causing them to retract immediately and stick closely to her back . Those Man Eating Flowers withered at once . The black-clad man, now free from restraints, could only watch the Fire Phoenix swoop down towards him . Before he could even make a turn, he went up in flames and left behind nothing but ashes .
The people nearby ceased their blind search the moment they saw the Fire Phoenix soaring in the sky . At that instant, they made their way towards the fight .
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Suddenly, several dozens of figures appeared out of thin air and gathered Spiritual Forces . Their entire body began to balloon as they charged at Feng Tianlan at high speeds .
These people were all cultivators above the rank of Spiritual Grandmasters . Within them, one could even see four or five First-stage Spiritual Emperors . So many powerhouses had planned to self-combust!

Bolts of lightning pulled the sky apart as they struck from the clouds . Under the thunder and lightning, the Fire Phoenix kept weaving through the skies and shrilled, hoping to take its Master away . However, its Master refused to budge, and there was nothing it could do .
The distance between Feng Tianlan and the self-combustors was reduced to a mere mile . However, they could only see Feng Tianlan smirk and shut her eyes . Trepidation filled everyone’s hearts as they watched Feng Tianlan stand under the stormy lightning . Was she simply waiting for her death?
