Feng Tianlan looked at Gu Nansheng with admiration . “I envy you . You are so decisive and straightforward . ”
She remembered when Gu Nansheng said she liked Mobai, she had been this decisive and straightforward as well . Now she liked Wu Yuan instead but she was still the same .
“If I like him it means I like him . If I don’t like him it means I don’t . Is it that hard?” Gu Nansheng looked at Feng Tianlan doubtfully . “Aren’t you the same towards His Highness?”
Feng Tianlan just giggled and didn’t reply . She had to go through a lot before she could acknowledge Si Mobai’s love . She couldn’t be as decisive as Gu Nansheng, who didn’t think it was necessary to consider consequences .
“Tianlan, don’t worry . No matter what happens, I will never make you my enemy ever in my life . ” Gu Nansheng finished her words seriously . She added on, “But of course, it’s different if it’s a blood vengeance . ”
She wouldn’t be jealous and hate Feng Tianlan or plot a scheme to take anything away from her just because Wu Yuan liked her too .
Feng Tianlan giggled and nodded . Gu Nansheng was a person who remained rational and had her own limits . What she just said could definitely be trusted .
After entering the palace, the Beiqi Emperor didn’t want to face Feng Tianlan anymore, so he asked everyone to go return to their respective residential palaces .

At the Yun Palace, the imperial noble consort had pain etched on her face . “Yun’er, you must avenge me! That despicable woman, Feng Tianlan dared to treat me like this—”
“Shut up!” Gu Yun scolded in a cold voice . “If it hadn’t been for you who couldn’t hold your own and tried to find fault with Gu Nansheng, would things have turned out this way? Why didn’t you take a look at the person beside her before you spoke? She was so powerful, how could she be a simple gigolo?”

Gu Yun stared at the imperial noble consort coldly . “Don’t make yourself sound noble . I am not your daughter . You are doing all this for yourself, for your position as queen . ”
Because of the imperial noble consort’s stupidity, even if she became queen, she wouldn’t last for long . She would die from her own folly in a short period of time .
“If I become queen, it will be beneficial for you as well . Even though you’re not my daughter, you are my daughter to outsiders . You don’t want to be called an illegitimate daughter who is forsaken after a change in your status, right?”
“Shut up!” Gu Yun resisted an urge to choke the woman to death .
The imperial noble consort retracted her neck . However, she had to be stand firm for the sake of her future . “I am not wrong . Besides, you have suffered so much in the past . Don’t you want to reclaim your status?”
Gu Yun really wanted to choke her to death . However, she couldn’t do anything right now . “I have a plan . Don’t do anything reckless . You will ruin my plan . ”
“What plan?” The imperial noble consort’s eyes brightened up at the sound of that . Even the swelling on her face has subsided quite a lot .
Gu Yun pondered for a while . Now was not the time to deal with this woman . She still had to use this idiot . “Feng Tianlan is so pretty . Every man will be tempted . Find a way to make Wu Yuan like her . Make Feng Tianlan and Gu Nansheng fight for him . ”
“Alright . I can do that . ” The imperial noble consort agreed to this task . If it was a matter between men and women, she simply needed a little trigger and a small rumor to succeed at it .

Gu Yun glanced at her in disdain . Then, she left Yun Palace and went to the royal study .
“Father . ”
The Beiqi Emperor who was still uneasy frowned at the sight of Gu Yun . “What’s wrong?”
“We need to kill Feng Tianlan at once . ” Gu Yun revealed her plan directly .
The Beiqi Emperor still had some doubts about that . “She is very famous . She can’t simply be killed like that . Just play your part and wait for the people from Xuantian Continent to take you with them . It won’t be too late to kill her then . ”
“But she is Feng Tianlan . She is the woman the King is looking for . With her around, I will be exposed . Our plan will be a failure despite all our efforts . We might even get killed . ”

Book 2 will still make sense without them - I made sure of that. But... isn't $3 a lot for extra chapters? Think of it as tipping me for a good job and you'd also be getting my eternal thanks. If you enjoyed it so much that the idea of missing out a few chapters haunts you, I did my job as an author and made an engaging story. What's in those extra chapters? Resolving a few issues, set up for the cybernetic revolution, a rather intense sex scene with a new partner, revelations of who's really pulling strings, and a bit of set up for book 2. Complaints that people missed out on it when it was published here won't help (sorry!). I posted this for the folks who helped me shape the book, which is you all! (Again, yay!) But... Why! Why not keep it all on RR forever? My editor likes being paid for one. For two, I'd like the ability to get broader readership. If I break even on editor costs, I'll be incredibly happy. What about book 2? Drafts for Book 2 will go up around Sept 10. My draft of Book 2 is done, and it will be handed to the editor once Book 1 is published. Feedback has been even more positive. Beta readers devoured it and wanted more. I'll add a link to Book 2 once it's up on RR. I'm more or less, using you all for Beta Readers, so you get it before it's "canon" and edited. I invite active and meaningful feedback during this process. In return, you get early access to chapters. That does mean that the book content or plot might be adjusted before it gets published as I refine it. Sex Y/N? Yes. I heard the feedback, 90% wanted it explicit. You all will get the "full" experience. Will I dump all of book 2 here? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. At a minimum, it'll be up to the 75% mark as we collect feedback, much like what I did with book 1. It really depends on how good the feedback is and how nice people are. Lots of support + meaningful feedback to make it better = higher likelihood you get all the book. Will be it up here indefinitely? No, it'll probably go up on KU at some point, but I'll make sure there's enough time for a large readership to grab it here. Then we move to book 3 which already is around 60K words already. What about other adventures in the same universe/characters? Yep. Absolutely. Nothing ready to share yet though. I plan to keep those side chapters and more slice of life stories as RR exclusive. Since I'm carving this off in book-sized segments, I'll have to figure out where those disconnected story arcs belong. I'm open to suggestions.

Izuku Midoriya was a college student, just trying to get his teaching degree. He had been living in the sam duplex house for a year now and hadn't had any problems with the elderly woman who lived below him. She was a quiet and lovely neighbor. Until she died. Sike, I'm not that terrible guys. She just got put into an assisted living thing. Which meant the bottom floor was up for rent and it didn't take long for Izuku's landlord to find a new tenant, or tenants. Katsuki Bakugou and Shoto Todoroki were the two guys that moved in below Izuku. They were also in a band. A very loud band. Izuku was close to going crazy with all the noise he now had to live with and the two wouldn't quiet down, even after he asked, multiple times. Eventually, Izuku listens to them practice so much, one of their songs gets stuck in his head. He takes out the trash, not even realizing that he was singing it softly to himself. Until the two boys hear him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Izuku threw the bag into the dumpster on the side of the house, softly singing the lyrics that were now stuck in his head. "Hey, that's our song." A voice said from behind him. Izuku snapped his attention to the two guys sitting on the stairs of his front door. "It's stuck in my head because neither of you seem to have common courtesy to practice somewhere else." Izuku snapped back, not wanting to deal with either of the arrogant males.Shoto seemed unfazed by his attitude. "You've got a nice voice." He mused. Izuku eyed him suspiciously, not trusting his compliment. "Thanks I guess." He muttered. "Wanna join a band?"
