“But they bullied you . ” Si Mobai held Feng Tianlan protectively in his arms and stared at Xi Jin and the other two condescendingly . He said coldly, “How could I, as your husband, let others bully you without consequence?”

Feng Tianlan hugged his waist tightly and lifted her gaze to look into his blood-red eyes . Then, she released her hands and a vine emerged from her hand . “If we truly have to fight, we must stand together . I will not let you be alone . ”

They had made a promise to fight together, so even though she was not strong enough, she would stand next to him and never leave let him face anything alone . Not to mention right now, his body had already been pushed to its limits, so there was even less reason to let him fight alone .

Xi Jin raised his head to stare at Feng Tianlan . Her beautiful and delicate small face glowed under the sunlight . Si Mobai stood behind her, looking incredibly outstanding . The two were like a celestial couple who had descended from heaven and they looked very compatible .

“Alright . ” As Si Mobai looked at Feng Tianlan’s determined but gentle gaze, the last bit of rage in his heart disappeared with her words .

Seeing that he had relented, Feng Tianlan was very relieved . “Let’s go back . ”

Si Mobai gently acknowledged with a sound of assent, lifted her in his arms, and left without another look at the rest .

Feng Tianlan could not help but glance back at Xi Jin with a look of disappointment in her eyes .

Xi Jin chased her until he reached the perimeters of Yanyue Building and shouted after her anxiously, “Dai’er!”

Si Mobai and Feng Tianlan ignored him and entered their room, closing the door behind them .

“Dai’er!” Xi Jin felt very uncomfortable, as if there was a large, invisible hand grabbing his heart .

“Brother Jin, I am here . ” Tu Xiupei heard his call from Xianyue Building, which was on the opposite side . She stood at the door and stared at him with a pale face .

Once she heard his voice from her room, she had run out quickly . She knew that the weaker she appeared to be, the more he would care about her .

“Brother Jin!” Shen Yunya caught up from behind and saw Tu Xiupei standing at the doorway . Then, she knew that he had been calling Tu Xiupei . She thought that he had been calling for Feng Tianlan .

The discomfort which Xi Jin felt was alleviated when he saw Tu Xiupei . This was followed by an intense wave of guilt . He had already found Dai’er, but yet he still continued thinking that Feng Tianlan could also be her . This was unfair to Dai’er .

Xi Jin landed in front of Tu Xiupei and looked at her lovingly . “You look so pale . You should have just lay in bed and rested . Why have you come out?”

“Because Brother Jin has come to see me . ” Tu Xiupei said shyly .

Xi Jin’s facial expression froze for a moment before he regained his gentle look and held Tu Xiupei’s arms . “Let me help you back to your room . ”

He could not tell Dai’er that he had only come because he was chasing after Feng Tianlan . That would truly break Dai’er’s heart .

Tu Xiupei gently acknowledged him and leaned against Xi Jin as she lifted her gaze to look at Shen Yunya with questioning eyes .

However, the look in her eyes, in these circumstances, made Shen Yunya think that Tu Xiupei was challenging her and flaunting her success instead .
