After some time in the bath, Feng Tianlan managed to calm her heart down and left the bathroom . But seeing Si Mobai waiting for her outside, she could not help but blush again .

Si Mobai smiled lightly as he admired her flowing dark hair which was casually draped over her shoulders . She no longer seemed cold or detached, instead, she emitted the tenderness and vitality of a young lady .

“I shall help you do your hair . ” Si Mobai held her hands and led her to the dressing table, signaling for her to sit down .

Feng Tianlan looked at him in the copper mirror with surprise . “You know how to do arrange a woman’s hair into a knot?” Even ordinary women did not know how to do this, not to mention men . Usually, this would be done by specialized assistants .

Si Mobai’s hand which had picked up an ivory comb paused for a moment before he nodded with utmost seriousness . “I know . ”

Looking at how determined he was, Feng Tianlan sat up straight and let him work on her hair . Through the mirror, she saw him focused on combing her hair as if her tresses were precious and fragile . She could not help but smile .

Her heart was filled with happiness and contentment, making her temporarily forget about Shen Yunya, if only…

If only he had not been holding onto her hair and combing it carefully even after an entire half an hour, without any sign of going to tie her hair up .

“Mobai…”

“Lan’er’s hair is so good . It is smooth like pure silk . ” Si Mobai continued to comb her hair meticulously, but in his heart, he was worried, how does one do up a woman’s hair?

Feng Tianlan noticed this at last and knew that he had no idea what he was doing . She laughed gently . “I feel a little tired, a casual and simple hairstyle is fine . ”

Upon hearing this, Si Mobai had an idea . He gathered the hair on either side of her face towards the back and tied it with a hair tie, doing the most convenient and simple hairstyle . “It is done . ”

Feng Tianlan looked at the hairstyle which was simple but delicately done . She smiled gently, “I like it very much . ” She truly liked it because it was done by him .

“I like it too . ” At this moment, he decided to learn more about hairstyles and do an even better job in the future .

Feng Tianlan looked up at him . “Mobai, aren’t you going to ask me?”

“Uh?”

“Shen Yunya and Xi Jin . ” Feng Tianlan stood up to face him .

Si Mobai laughed lightly and pulled her into his arms . “In this world where I am your husband, you can have this space to yourself . ”

There was no need for her to tell him everything or tear open old scars and reveal raw and bloody wounds she had suffered before him . He was afraid of hurting her .

Feng Tianlan’s heart trembled and she called out tenderly, “Mobai!” She had thought that he would be domineering like he used to be, and demand an answer, but instead, he was giving her freedom and respect to keep things to herself .

The couple shared an intimate hug, and time amidst heaven and earth stopped for them, so that their two hearts could draw one step closer to each other .

Shen Yunya let Xi Jin help her into her bed . She leaned her back against the headboard and looked at him somewhat helplessly . “Brother Jin, have I done something wrong?”

“No…”

“I only wanted Elder Sister to be well .
