Chapter 451: Her Heart Had No Room For Anyone Else

The side of the bed sank under his weight . Feng Tianlan couldn’t help but feel nervous and her palms started sweating . Her body stiffened as well, and her heart was palpitating faster and faster . She shut her eyes to stabilize her breathing and pretended to be already asleep .

Si Mobai was well-behaved as he lay flat on the bed . He tensed up next to her . One moment he was crossing his arms on top of his belly, the next he put his arms down by his side . He kept repeating these two actions, not knowing what to do with his hands . His heart was beating wildly as both his hands under the blanket began sweating .

Si Mobai, who felt that the way he was behaving was very odd, turned sideways and stared at Feng Tianlan’s back . He was reflecting on himself . This was very unlike him . He used to be able to hug her without hesitation, unlike what he was doing now—timidly holding back and retrained for some reason .

So, Si Mobai’s aching hands which had no place to go began stretching out towards her . Just as his hands were about to come into contact with her, he pulled them back suddenly . His handsome demonic face blushed even deeper . Now he was even more unsure of where to put his hands .

After watching Feng Tianlan’s back which had not been moving for a while now, his hand began to extend towards her eagerly once again…

Feng Tianlan, who had her back to him, also thought that he was behaving strangely by the fact that he was not touching her at all . This was very unlike his typical demeanor towards her . When they were at the Feng Manor, he would come in through the window every night and hugged her forcefully and determinedly until she fell asleep .

But right now, he had become strangely passive?

Feng Tianlan turned around in doubt and saw him pull his hands back immediately and turn to lie flat on the bed . He was breathing quickly; his eyes staring fixedly at the top of the bed to avoid eye contact with her . His initially pale face had turned suspiciously red and the redness slowly spread all the way behind his ears .

Although there was a space between them on the bed, she could feel his anxiety and the tension in his body . She also noticed he was fidgeting with his hands and guessed that his palms were sweating just like hers .

It was like Si Mobai had become a teenager experiencing love for the first time . He was no longer cold and domineering like before . Instead, he was shy and all bashful, just like a teenager reacting to the presence of the opposite sex .

Watching this totally new side of Si Mobai, blatantly nervous but acting as though he was calm, she realized that she had mustered enough courage to be honest with herself . She finally understood what the feelings that she had for him were .

At that moment, the thick barrier around her heart dropped and crumbled to pieces . Just for a moment . And one person, one name, entered her heart at this moment . Her heart was now full of him and only him . His name echoed repeatedly in her mind .

Her heart had no room for anyone else .

Her once-empty heart was now filled with this person who had forced his way in . She felt like she was brimming with blissful contentment . This joy made her lips curl up into a smile naturally . The happiness continued building up inside of her and lit up her eyes as well . She felt like she was glowing, the brightest star in the sky that night .

“Mobai . ” Her cold voice was gentle like never before . It carried hints of love that she had never expressed to anyone before .

Hearing her calling out his name, Si Mobai stiffened some more . To hide his anxiety, he calmly replied, “Uh-huh?”

“I am going to sleep . ”

“Alright . ”

Feng Tianlan repressed the grin that threatened to explode on her face as she glanced at him . His tone was calm and slightly cold . If he hadn’t been blushing bashfully, he would have come across as very cold indeed . However, in her eyes at that moment, he was indescribably cute .

She put her hands over her heart and closed her eyes . Her world was instantly flooded with a waterfall of blossoming flowers .

Si Mobai kept his body tense . After a while, he listened to her steady breathing and made sure that her eyes were shut before he turned his head and looked at her face that was peacefully asleep . She no longer had her guard up, nor did she frown as she did before . Her lips were even slightly lifted at the corners as if she was having a sweet dream .
