Chapter 365: Genuine or Not, Everyone Slaps Your Face Eventually
Luo Yunzhu was about to explode with anger . Tu Xiupei was always so fond of snatching Tianlan’s things . Now, even the honor due to Tianlan because of her heroic act of saving millions of lives had been snatched away .
That woman was really shameless!
Luo Yunzhu was so angry that she wanted to peel off Tu Xiupei’s skin, weigh it, and see how thick it was . For her to be this shameless, it had to be very thick!
Luo Yunzhu’s cursing made Feng Tianlan laugh . “Don’t be angry,” she said . “I’ll explain things to you later . I promise . It’ll make you happy . ”
“Young lady, how can you say such slanderous things about Lady Phoenix? Lady Phoenix nearly sacrificed her own life to save us all . It’s fine if you’re not grateful, but now you want to get back at her . One really cannot judge a book by its cover . You look like a fine young lady, but your heart is so evil . ”
After hearing what the passerby remarked, Luo Yunzhu was so angry that she really wanted to bash him up .
“Let’s go,” Feng Tianlan said . She tugged at Luo Yunzhu and walked on . “Stop talking about what happened that night . Leave her be . ”
“Tianlan, you cannot be like a dough bun and allow others to pinch you any way they want . It’s fine to be kind, but don’t be the foolish sort of kind . I know that you’re sentimental, but save it for those who deserve it . Tu Xiupei is definitely not among them . ” Luo Yunzhu looked up to see everyone cheering for Lady Phoenix . The glory and honor belonged to Tianlan, but that evil woman, Tu Xiupei, had snatched it all away . How could Luo Yunzhu not be angry?

Those honors belonged to Tianlan, so why should anyone else have them?!
“Yunzhu…” Feng Tianlan felt like laughing . She really wasn’t being a pushover, and she wasn’t sentimental toward just anyone .
“I don’t care . Even if you don’t want it, I won’t let her get away with this . ” Luo Yunzhu’s eyes spewed fire as she clenched her fists . She was ready to go up and tear the mask from Tu Xiupei’s face .
Tu Xiupei remained seated in the sedan . When she saw Feng Tianlan and Luo Yunzhu, she couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow . As the saying goes, sworn enemies often cross paths . But today, this path was all Tu Xiupei’s!
The sedan reached their side of the street and, of all places, decided to stop right in front of them . Tu Xiupei pulled aside the red muslin cloth and smiled warmly as she said with great relief, “Thank goodness Eldest Sister ran fast enough that night that she didn’t get hurt . Otherwise, I wouldn’t know what to do . ”
Luo Yunzhu was about to turn violent when Feng Tianlan pulled her back . She looked up, smiled faintly, and said, “Something genuine will never be a fake, and a fake will never be the real thing . The higher one climbs, the harder one will fall . I’m looking forward to the day everyone here will slap you in the face . ”
Tu Xiupei glared coldly at Feng Tianlan . She didn’t understand how Feng Tianlan could still look at her so disdainfully and arrogantly . She had obtained such high standing, but Feng Tianlan was still looking at her as if she were a clown .
That night, when the Demonic Beasts were fighting, she had witnessed Feng Tianlan use her blood to draw the phoenix . After that, she’d fainted . When she’d awoken, Feng Tianlan and the rest were gone, leaving behind countless dead and injured Demonic Beasts . She had been the only living being found among the dead Demonic Beasts, so she had been crowned Lady Phoenix .

She knew that the identity of the real Lady Phoenix actually belonged to Feng Tianlan . But for now, it was hers, and she figured that Feng Tianlan must be feeling indignant .
“Eldest Sister…” The hatred Tu Xiupei nourished in her heart was equal to the hurt she pretended to display on her face . It was as if Feng Tianlan had bullied her .
Feng Tianlan mockingly, contemptuously glared at her, then pulled at Luo Yunzhu and continued walking ahead . She couldn’t be bothered to look at Tu Xiupei’s hypocritical face . Meanwhile, Luo Yunzhu was so angry she was going to burst . Feng Tianlan pulled her along as Luo Yunzhu made a face and refused to talk all the way back . Obviously, she was furious .
Luo Yunzhu was so angry that Tianlan was such a pushover! How could she just tolerate everything?
But she was also angry because she was too weak and too useless . She wasn’t able to help Tianlan!

To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters.
