“You don’t want to be friends anymore?”

Luo Yunzhu glared at Feng Tianlan . Her father saw Feng Tianlan as a good-for-nothing and had forbidden them from seeing each other—didn’t she know that? Feng Tianlan could see that Luo Yunzhu was so angry that her eyes brimmed with tears . When she thought about what she’d heard from Luo Yuanjie and her maid, she could guess what was going through Luo Yunzhu’s mind . Warmth filled her heart again .

Unlike Shen Yunya, Yunzhu was much more genuine, and she was moved by her authenticity . Feng Tianlan decided she would not be suspicious of everyone around her just because she’d been betrayed before . It wasn’t worth it .

“Wait here for me . ” Feng Tianlan knew that nothing she said would persuade her, so she turned to pick up the ceramic bottle on the simple dresser and walked back . “Here . For you . ”

“What’s this?” Luo Yunzhu opened the bottle and took out one round, gleaming pill . The herbs’ smell filled her nostrils . She opened her eyes wide and said, “This is…a Marrow Cleansing Pill . ”

“Tianlan, how did you get this? Did you bid for this?”

“Eat this pill, and you won’t be a good-for-nothing anymore . ”

After hearing Luo Yunzhu’s sudden outpour of concern, Feng Tianlan wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry . “This is for you . ”

“For me?” Luo Yunzhu was taken aback for a moment . Then, she quickly put the pill back into the bottle and returned it to Feng Tianlan . “I can’t accept this . You need it more than me . I’m really happy that you thought of me, but no . ”

“I really don’t need it . ” Feng Tianlan tried not to laugh as she watched Luo Yunzhu stubbornly refuse .

“You need it more…” Before she could finish her sentence, Luo Yunzhu saw Feng Tianlan use a little strength from her palm and move past her . She stared at her in shock . “You…you’ve managed to reach the First-stage Spiritualist level?”

The Spirit Gathering level could only create internal force, but once one reached the Spiritualist stage, one could create external force . Anybody who was in training would be able to sense this . Feng Tianlan nodded and smiled .

“You bought a Spirit Boosting Pill?” Luo Yunzhu couldn’t think of another logical reason for how this could have happened .

Feng Tianlan did not reply . Instead, she took out the pill furnace and ingredients for a Spirit Boosting Pill from her storage ring, adjusted the heat, then put the ingredients in one by one . Luo Yunzhu stared blankly with her mouth open as she watched Feng Tianlan expertly make the pills . She finally managed to close her mouth after watching the bright round Grade 9 Spirit Boosting Pills fly out of the oven .

She looked at Feng Tianlan as if Feng Tianlan were her idol and said, “You’re an alchemist?”

“For you . ” Feng Tianlan put all five Grade 9 Spirit Boosting Pills into Luo Yunzhu’s hand .

Luo Yunzhu looked at the freshly made pills in her hand, still warm with a lingering smell of medicinal herbs . She gulped and said, “You’re giving all of them to me?”

She wondered, Is Feng Tianlan really giving me these invaluable pills like she’s giving away sweets?

“This one too . ” Feng Tianlan put a Marrow Cleansing Pill into Luo Yunzhu’s hand .

Luo Yunzhu blinked, hard, unable to believe the six pills in her hand were real . She counted them again, inspecting them over and over . She confirmed that they were genuine, really expensive pills . And so many of them! It was as if she were in a dream .

Suddenly, she was afraid that this was all just a dream . Luo Yunzhu slapped herself hard across the face and felt the pain . She stared back at Feng Tianlan and said, “This is for real; it’s not a dream . ”

“I made the Spirit Boosting Pills and Marrow Cleansing Pills that the Ruyi Trade House is putting up for auction . So, if you go bid for them, it wouldn’t make any sense for me,” Feng Tianlan said as she laughed gently .

Luo Yunzhu eyes opened even wider . She thought about the Grade 5 Nurturing Pill that she’d consumed earlier . She hurriedly asked, “So that Grade 5 Nurturing Pill…you made that too?”
