Chapter 186
The city of Coase was very lively this evening.
Everyone was out to play, and the streets were almost full of people.
In the city of Coase.
There was a stadium called the Coase City Wentley Stadium.
It was a super-first-class concert venue and stadium, and there were countless world-famous musicians and artists who had held concerts and other concerts from the ground up.
Not only did this place accommodate a lot of people, but it had also held the most powerful world tour concerts.
And tonight.
This stadium was also bursting with popularity!
Because recently, a new star in the music industry was rising, and several songs in a row were exploding in popularity.
His name was Marion Bunir.
With the help of these explosive songs, this person surpassed other people of his generation, and the number of fans was quite large.
Just when he was popular, Marion Bunier chose a good day and prepared to hold a concert at the Wentley Stadium in Coase City.
Before he started, he was worried that not many people would come.
Because no matter how popular he was now, he had just debuted not long ago, and his foundation was unstable. He could not be sure about the stickiness of his fans.
However, when the tickets began to go on sale.
He knew that he had been thinking too much.
10,000 tickets were sold out on the spot, which caused a wave of shock. Not to mention outsiders, even many of his peers could not believe it.
Marion Bunir was also somewhat in disbelief, but the data in front of him was real. This made him extremely happy, and he felt that he did not have to worry about his future career.
Backstage, he was very excited.
He had been on stage for an hour now, but his heart was still very excited.

Looking at the crazy looks of the fans below the stage, Bunir was a little proud.
He did not even doubt that even if he randomly sang a few lines, the fans would still be so crazy.
…
Outside the Wentley Stadium in Coase City.
A taxi stopped. The door was opened and a young man walked out.
“Goodbye, little brother. I hope you get the autograph.”
The driver rolled down the window and waved at the young man with a smile.
Although he said so, he did not think that he could get the autograph at all. He just felt bored and said it casually.
“You’re welcome.”
The driver heard the young man’s voice and was about to retract his arm.
Suddenly, a black shadow flashed in front of him. The driver felt that there was liquid splattering on his face.
When he caught sight of it, he realized that his outstretched arm was gone.
“Ahhh!!”
The driver screamed in pain.
When he looked up a little, he saw a huge scythe. What made him even more terrified was that there was a tall and thin scarecrow standing next to the scythe.
That young passenger had somehow become a scarecrow!
Scarecrow!
At this moment, the driver thought of many things.
In recent days, passengers often talked to him about scarecrows, but he always sneered.
Because in his impression, how could there be such a thing?
There were many such rumors in the past.
But in the end, he would always find out that it was just a prank by people.
It was only because people passed on people that there were more such rumors.
So, even though many passengers told him to be careful and he agreed verbally, he did not take it seriously in his heart. He was still soliciting customers as usual.
But now, he actually met him!

“Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!”
“I still have a wife, I still have children!”
The driver covered his arm, his face was pale, and he looked at the Scarecrow in fear.

[Fear Points +140]
“Don’t kill…”
Pfft!
The scythe cut through the night, and the entire taxi was cut into two halves.
The driver who was sitting there was also cut in half, and blood splattered all over the car.
With the scythe on his back, Flanders hummed as he entered the stadium.
…
In the stadium.
The concert had reached its climax.
Tens of thousands of people were singing along with Bunir. Countless glow sticks were shaking, and some people in the seats were waving the words “Bunir, I love you”. It was very lively.
On the stage, Bunir was also waving his hands and singing his popular songs.
It seemed that he was still very excited.
But in fact, he was already a little tired.
But the time was not over yet. He could not leave yet.
Although he was singing now, his mind had long been elsewhere. He even wanted to tell these fans to hurry home. After all, he had slept very late last night.
Bunir thought so.
Suddenly, he felt something. His eyes focused and looked at a corner of the stage.
What was that?
Bunir narrowed his eyes and looked.
Tall, thin…
What was that?
Bunir was absent-minded as he sang and looked at a good angle.
This time, he saw it clearly.
It was like a scarecrow, and he seemed to be holding a scythe in his hand.
Was it cosplay?
From the rough outline, it should be very cool. Why was he standing in the shadows? He could barely see anything.
However, the next moment, Bunir’s eyes widened.
The scarecrow opposite him waved the scythe in his hand, directly cutting off the heads of a few screaming fans nearby. In an instant, blood splattered an unknown number of meters away.
That area was instantly in a state of panic.
The music in the stadium was too loud. Not to mention the fans who were far away, even the fans who were very close did not realize that someone had died beside them.
However, Bunir saw it.
“He… he killed someone?!”
Bunir was greatly alarmed and looked at the scarecrow in horror.
The scarecrow seemed to have noticed his gaze and turned around to look at him. Then, the corner of his mouth curled up to his ears.
[Fear Points +150]
A huge sense of fear rose from the bottom of Bunir’s heart.
His throat was directly stuck, and he could not utter a single word.
Meanwhile, the fans below the stage were all looking at Bunir on the stage. All of them burst into laughter, thinking that Bunir had suddenly forgotten his lines. This was very normal, so the fans did not care.
However, very soon, they noticed that something was wrong.
After Bunir was stuck, he did not recover, but he was also looking at something.
“Bunir!”
“What are you doing?”
His agent urged him from behind.
However, Bunir acted as if he did not hear it and did not move at all.
“Murder.”
“Murder.”
Bunir kept mumbling.
He had a microphone by his mouth. Although his voice was very soft, everyone in the stadium could hear his whispers.
“What is Bunir talking about?”
“Why do I feel like he’s talking about… killing someone?”
“What do you mean? Is it a new song?”
“…”
The fans below the stage discussed animatedly.
Then, they saw Bunir suddenly collapse on the ground, pointing in a direction and shouting in fear.
“Scarecrow!”
“It’s a scarecrow!!”
Instantly, everyone below the stage looked in the direction where Bunir pointed.

8 249Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
