Chapter 806: 806
“Hmm?”
When she came to her senses, He Xue pulled her hand back from Fang Qiu. Her face darkened in anger and she was about to lose her temper.
At this moment, Fang Qiu spoke first, “You’re suffering from infertility.”
“You bastard!” He Xue flew into a rage. She picked up the half cup of coffee on the table in front of her and splashed it directly at Fang Qiu’s face.
“Whoosh.”
Fang Qiu moved and shifted to the seat next to him in an instant, dodging the coffee successfully. Then he quickly reached out and took out tissues from the box on the table to wipe off the coffee splashes on the seat.
He Xue was stunned when she saw this.
He was clearly right in front of her. When she threw the coffee, he had not moved yet. How could he change his position when the coffee splattered?
“You’re a famous entrepreneur from a big family. Can you not be so edgy when dealing with people?”
While wiping away the coffee, Fang Qiu said, “I’m really a doctor. You’re indeed suffering from infertility!”
When she heard this, He Xue’s face suddenly changed. She was about to erupt in fury, but now it seemed as if someone had poured a basin of ice water on her. She suddenly became dispirited.
Although her anger had not completely dissipated, she would not erupt for now.
Afraid that Fang Qiu’s words would be heard by the people around them, He Xue gritted her teeth and growled in a low voice, “Who the hell are you? How do you know about my innermost secret?”
In fact, when Fang Qiu said it out loud, she already had her suspicions about him.
Because this was indeed something very confidential which even her closest friend knew nothing of.
This was quite unexpected. She was not a person who liked to fool around, not to mention going to nightclubs. Her infertility was detected in a routine physical examination.
When she was told that she was suffering from infertility, He Xue did not go to find a random man to give it a try. Instead, she had been in contact with the hospital all the time. She went to the hospital to have a check-up regularly, but she had not been cured.
Therefore, He Xue even suspected that Fang Qiu was the person in the hospital who treated her.
But after giving it a second thought, she realized that the people in the hospital did not know her real identity at all.
“Sit down first. Don’t get too emotional.”
Although Fang Qiu was wearing a mask, he said in an experienced tone, “I’m really a doctor. Your illness is actually a small problem. I can cure it.”
“Huh?”
He Xue was so angry that she even burst into laughter. She glanced at Fang Qiu in disdain and asked, “Boy, don’t be so reckless. Even if you are a doctor, you can’t cure all kinds of diseases. Do you think you are Fang Qiu?”

She didn’t believe that her disease which could not be cured in the famous hospital after such a long time could be treated by a boy suddenly coming out of nowhere.
“Haha, what a coincidence.”
Hearing He Xue’s words, Fang Qiu grinned. He took off his mask and said, “I am Fang Qiu!”
Hardly had he finished speaking, when he took off his mask completely and revealed his actual face.
He Xue fixed her eyes on him.
Her eyes instantly widened and froze.
After all, she was a talent from a noble family. He Xue rolled her eyes and immediately came back to her senses. She looked at Fang Qiu and suddenly became amused, instead of being irritated.
There must be a reason for something like this to happen!
Fang Qiu was such a big shot, but he came to seek her out on his own initiative. It was unusual. After all, they had nothing to do with each other before this.
There was a flicker of interest in her eyes.
He Xue sat down again with a smile. She leaned back and said with a shrewd smile, “Interesting. Magic Doctor Fang wouldn’t just come to flirt with me, right?”
“I don’t think that you would deliberately come here to treat me.”
Fang Qiu, who had just cleaned up the coffee stains, instantly answered, “I’m here to poach you!”
“Poach me?” He Xue was confused.
“Yeah!”
Fang Qiu nodded with certainty and said, “I set up a company and I need a professional talent to help me manage it. I received some information about talents in management from a friend. I felt that you were really suitable for this job, so I came over directly to find you.”
He Xue smiled and said, “You’re just a kid. Why do you want to set up a company? Are you short of money?”
“No.”
Fang Qiu shook his head and said, “One’s ambition shouldn’t be limited by his age!”
“Although I’m suspicious of your original intention, I’m a little curious about what you said. Come on, tell me what kind of company you run.”
He Xue said with a grin, “In addition, if you can get my information, it means that there must be someone to guide you. Since there is someone helping you, you must also be aware that basic offers will not be able to tempt me. Show me what you can offer.”
“You won’t be disappointed.”
Fang Qiu didn’t hesitate at all and said directly, “First, I’ll cure your disease.”
“This is the most basic thing.”
He Xue shook her head and said, “If it weren’t for this, I wouldn’t even bother to listen to you.”
“Are you testing me?”
Fang Qiu shook his head and grinned, “But have you ever thought that I can turn and leave now? Anyway, there are a lot of talents in senior management in the country. I can find them one by one. Even if I find someone who is not as good as you in the end, I won’t suffer too much loss. My company just started, so it’s not too big yet. I have plenty of time to find talents in management, but you are different… When I leave, you’re the one who will suffer the biggest loss.”

He Xue’s face froze slightly. A trace of panic flashed across her eyes.
What Fang Qiu said really hit home.
Her disease couldn’t even be cured in top-level hospitals. The only one who could cure her was Fang Qiu. Of course, she could also bet that doctors in the hospital would be able to cure her before she got married. But at present, the hospital did not give her any hope. What she saw were only endless examinations, various suggestions and some short-term medication.
There was no doubt that Fang Qiu was not short of money. No matter how much money she could fork out, she couldn’t do anything about it if Fang Qiu didn’t want to treat her.
Therefore, she did not want to miss this opportunity.
Fang Qiu added, “However, in order to show my sincerity, I am willing to continue to offer other things I can afford.”
“What a smart guy.”
He Xue glanced at Fang Qiu and couldn’t help muttering.
Fang Qiu didn’t beat around the bush and said directly, “Second, the annual salary is five million.”
He Xue curled her lips.
Five million?
What she earned in the current position in Network was far more than five million.
“In addition, I’ll give you 5% of our company’s shares,” Fang Qiu said.
He Xue beamed and asked, “Haha. What’s your share?”
“I own 70%,” Fang Qiu answered truthfully.
He Xue laughed even louder.
“You’ve got 70%, but I only have 5%?”
He Xue’s mouth gaped as if she had heard something ridiculous. “Kid, do you think I’m only worth 5% of your company’s shares?”
“With all due respect, you have no experience at all. If you still want to own a large proportion of the shares, you’d better go back to school to continue your studies.”
Fang Qiu was a bit irritated when he heard that.
“If you know the annual profit of my company, I don’t think you will underestimate this 5% of the shares!”
Although he was angry, Fang Qiu tried his best to suppress it.
He Xue raised her eyebrows and said, “Profit? I don’t think a new company can get much profit. If you want to sell your reputation, I really don’t dare to look down on this 5%. Your company has already been set up, but there is still no news about it, which means that you don’t want to use your reputation. So I am really curious. Kid, how much your company’s annual profit is?”
Fang Qiu said, “Half a month ago, my company’s annual profit was roughly about one billion a year, but now it’s two billion a year!”
“What?” When she heard this, He Xue froze at first, but then she was astounded. She looked at Fang Qiu in disbelief and exclaimed, “How is that possible? How old are you?”
Fang Qiu said, “Nothing is impossible. These are the facts.”
“Now, I’m even more curious.”
He Xue stared at Fang Qiu. After calming down a little, she asked, “What is your company’s name?”
Fang Qiu replied, “Puji.”
“Puji?” He Xue was confused and said with a frown, “I’ve never heard of such a company. The annual income has reached one billion or even two billion. It shouldn’t be so unknown, right?”
“A new company.” Fang Qiu pursed his lips and said, “I just started it.”
He Xue asked again, “What business do you run?”
“At present, we’re cultivating and selling medicinal herbs,” Fang Qiu replied.
“Hmm?”
He Xue was stunned. As she rolled her eyes, all kinds of inference and connections began to come up in her mind.
She suddenly asked in surprise as if she had thought of some connections. “The main ingredient of the Trillium Root-Securing Pill produced by Hua Yuan Pharmaceutical Corporation is supplied by you, isn’t it?”
“Smart.” Fang Qiu nodded with a smile.
This time, He Xue was shocked.
She didn’t expect that the netizens were actually right about this. It was Fang Qiu who provided Hua Yuan Pharmaceutical Corporation with top Desert Cistanche!
“Think about it.”
Looking at He Xue’s shocked face, Fang Qiu added, “If you join us, not only will you be healthy, but you can also get more wealth. Meanwhile, you can also take a path that leads directly to your dream. It can prove to your family that even if you leave them, you can still reach the top of the business world!”
He Xue hesitated.
“I know. You were the one responsible for Network’s rise.”
Fang Qiu continued to persuade her, “But you should know very well that the development of Network has come to an end. Although you have made great changes in Network while working there all these years, it is very difficult to make online software in this era. This is due to the fact that there are too many Internet companies and although your company has gained some advantages by entering the market earlier, now it’s still inferior. Under the pressure from major Internet companies, the prospect will only become daunting. If there is a way to bring it back, I don’t think you will have time to come here to drink coffee every day.”
He Xue gazed at Fang Qiu in amazement.
She didn’t expect that not only did Fang Qiu investigate her, but he had also done thorough research on her company as well.
After pondering for a while, He Xue’s furrowed brows relaxed. She beamed and said, “It would be a pity if I turn down such a great offer.”
“Okay, I’m in!”

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
