Chapter 173: 173
[You have completed the special quest ‘Dragon’s Wisdom.’]
[The Wisdom stat gains an additional effect]
[Magic penetration will depend upon Wisdom.]
The additional effect gained after an increase in Wisdom was strengthening of magic penetration.
The additional effect desired by Wisdom-based classes is higher Magic Power but when they become rankers, they prefer the magic penetration.
It was because, the higher one’s level, the higher one’smagic defense was no matter whether it’s a monster or a user.
‘It is good.’
Soo Hyuk got up from his seat with a smile because he once wanted to strengthen magic penetration.
After returning the book, he came out of the library and whispered to Yeon Jeung.
-Soo Hyuk: It’s over now. I will come.
He whispered to Yeon Jeung, warped to the subspace and then to Beyond using the warp magic circle. He arrived in Beyond with two warps.
Soo Hyuk headed towards the guild house.
Now at Beyond, many Reader Guild members freely roamed.
Perhaps because of that, all the attention was not focused on him as before. Moreover, he could take off his mask.
Few people knew his face.
And for that reason, Soo Hyuk was able to comfortably arrive at the guild house.
There were no guild members inside, either they went hunting or to complete quests.
Soo Hyuk went to Yeon Jeung’s room.
“I am here.”
“Oh, I see.”
Yeon Jeung responded to his greetings and got up.
“Come and see this.”
Then he went over to the table and called Soo Hyuk.
Soo Hyuk approached the table.
“It’s a map. I worked really hard to make it.
Yeon Jeung took out a map and spread it out when he arrived at the table.
“It’s a map from the Rail Plains to the Enchanted Forest.”
Soo Hyuk looked at Yeon Jeung’s map.
On the far left was the Rail PLains and on the far right Enchanted Forest.
Soo Hyuk looked at the areas between them. Damp Wetland, Angel’s Lake, Arconia Mountains, Mirage Grassland and Night Forest.
‘There is no information about the monsters.’
The map obtained by Yeon Jeung from the [Ryan’s Treasure] in [Ryan’s Dungeon] had information about the monsters. However, there was no such information on this map.
Of course it didn’t matter if there was information or not. Yeon Jeung had visited the Enchanted Forest and other sites before and had information about them.
“Where should we go?”
Soo Hyuk looked at the map and asked Yeon Jeung.
The first destination, the Rail Plains, was an area which was still being explored so the development had not been completed yet. So, obviously no town or city existed there.
In other words, to get to the Rail Plains, one has to go to a nearby town or city.
“There is a village named Horica. We can go there. I will let you know what kind of monsters are there. Lets go.”

Yeon Jeung responded to Soo Hyuk and put the map in his inventory.
They left the guild house and headed towards the warp gate.
“There are two types of monsters which appear on the Rail Plains. Wind Orcs and Rail Wolves. The level of the monsters is between the range of 500 to 520 and the area is divided in half between both of them.
While heading towards the warp gate, Yeon Jeung started explaining about the monsters which appear on the Rail Plains.
“The Rail Wolves area is almost completely explored so you will probably won’t see them.”
Rail Plains was being explored little by little by Fade Kingdom NPCs and some tank class users. Most of their area was explored.
And the remaining territory was very far from their path to their next destination, the Damp Wetlands.
The probability of Soo Hyuk meeting the Rail Wolves was next to zero.
“What is the difference between Wind Orcs and Normal Orcs?”
“Yes. They are a little faster than normal orcs. They are wizards who can use wind magic. Should I call them Shaman Orcs instead?”
The only monsters to be careful about at the Rail Plains were the Wind Orcs.
Soo Hyuk nodded at Yeon Jeung’s explanation.
They were soon able to get to the warp gate.
“Where would you like to go?”
“Both of us will like to go to Horica.”
He answered the wizard’s question and opened his inventory.
“Here is 140 gold.”
Yeon Jeung who already knew the cost of the warp gate handed over Soo Hyuk warp cost as well.
“I will pay the costs!”
Yeon Jeung smiled and said.
Soo Hyuk, who had opened his inventory, closed it with a smile.
They reached their destination Horica soon.
“All the users at Horcia are tanks.”
Arriving at Horica, Yeon Jeung’s explanation began again as they moved towards the Rail Plains.
“Most people here face accidents. There are weird users here.”
“Weird?”
“Yes. If they know that you are Soo Hyuk, then there would be guys who will stick with you for a fight.”
‘Why?”
Soo Hyuk tilted his head at Yeong Jeung.
‘Why would Rankers do that?’
“For attention.”
“Attention?”
“Yes you are getting a lot of attention from the users right now. In addition to that, the Dokgo Guild was defeated. They will think that they will get a lot of attention if they defeat you.”
“Ah, no way.”
“Really. It’s because you haven’t yet met someone crazy enough about their interests.”
Yeon Jeung responded to Soo Hyuk and trembled as he recalled the users who had been attacking him in the past.
It was then.
[You have entered the Rail Plains]
A message appeared.
“Rail Plains start from here on!”
Yeon Jeung saw the message and shouted.
“We have to move forward carefully.”

It was an explored area where the monsters don’t spawn but they may come again to re-dominate it.
“Okay.”
Soo Hyuk looked around while answering Yeon Jeung.
There was not even an ant in sight.
Soo Hyuk began to move at a pace full ease but after a while…
“Ahead! Look Ahead!”
Soo Hyuk looked at Yeon Jeung’s cries.
He saw dust rising in the distance and it was getting closer and closer.
“Is that a Wind Orc?”
“Huh.”
The beings creating the dust were the Wind Orcs, totalling to three.
There must have been a battle before this since their bodies were full of wounds.
“What would you like to do? Do you think it’s possible?
Yeong Jueng saw the Wind Orcs and asked.
“Well I will defeat them.”
They weren’t something which Soo Hyuk had defeated before. It would be his first time he defeated level 500 monsters. He shouldn’t hold back just to be sure.
“If you can’t defeat it then tell me.”
“We can just throw the stun potion and then blow them up.”
“Okay.”
Soo Hyuk responded to Yeon Jeung’s words as he watched the Wind Orcs.
“Poison Storm.”
As soon as the Wind Orcs entered the range of Soo Hyuk, he cast Poison Storm.
Squak!
The Poison Storm appeared and devoured the Wind Orcs.
And Soo Hyuk saw it.
[Level Up!]
[Obtained Wind Orc’s Blood x2]
[Obtained Wind Orc’s Tendons x1]
Level up and item drop messages.
This chapter is scrapped from readlightnovel.org
“?”
Soo Hyuk was embarrassed.
‘Level Up?’
Since the orcs died, it made sense for the item drop windows to appear. However, he did not expect the Level Up.
His experience was only 7% before he defeated the Orcs. Soo Hyuk’s class requires more experience than the normal job users to raise the level.
‘Just three?’
“What is it?”
Yeon Jeung asked Soo Hyuk.
The party settings allow members to get experience or items depending upon their contribution. Yeon Jeung did nothing, so he didn’t get them and didn’t know that the Wind Orcs were dead.
“They are dead.”
“Already?”
“Huh.”
“Wow. No matter how hurt they were, but so quickly?”
Yeon Jeung said with a smile full of joy. The orcs were injured but it wasn’t fatal.
“The synergy between your wand and your high wisdom is great.”
“Yeah.”
Soo Hyuk and Yeon Jeung began to move forward once again.
“This is the first exploration base.”
“It’s pretty big?”
“Oh, when the development is completed, it will turn into a village.’’
Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate but no more Wind Orcs appeared and they were able to safely arrive at the first exploration base.
“Be Careful. We don’t know what kind of crazy guys might appear.
While heading towards the first base, Yeong Jeung warned him.
Soo Hyuk tilted his head and recalled the words which Yeon Jeung had told him before they left and nodded his head.
Soo Hyuk and Yeon Jeung moved quickly after entering the base.
They had no purpose there so they were about to leave.
“Uh? Yeon Jeung?”
A cry came from the front.
“Don’t reveal your identity.”
After seeing the owner of the voice, Yeon Jeung quietly whispered to Soo Hyuk.
Soo Hyuk looked at the user approaching Yeon Jeung, thinking he might be one of the odd type users who Yeon Jeung talked about.
“It’s been a long time!”
“Yeah It’s been a long time. Helly.”
“Congratulations on your victory in the war!”
“Thank you. Ha Ha Ha.”
“And this man…?”
Helly who had shared greetings with Yeong Jeung blurred his words when he saw Soo Hyuk.
“Oh, he is a member of the guild. I am helping him because he needs to gather something in Damp Wetlands.”
Yeon Jeung answered Helly’s question for Soo Hyuk. Of course it was a lie.
“Oh, yes.”
“Then we will go now.”
“Yeah! See you next time~”
After the conversation with Helly, he started walking again and Soo Hyuk followed.
Fortunately they met no one after Helly and were able to safely come out of the exploration base.
“Whew. That’s good.”
Yeon Jeung was worried that people might stick to Soo Hyuk so he let out a sigh of relief.
“Is that Helly guy weird?”
“No, he is a good person.”
Soo Hyuk was puzzled at Yeon Jeung’s answer.
‘So why did he lie?’
Yeon Jeung opened his mouth once again as he noticed Soo Hyuk’s expression.
“There is a user who hunts with Helly-nim but that user is really……”
Yeon Jeung blurred his words and continued to shake his head.
“When I got a little attention with the fight with the Dokgo Guild before. At that time he kept coming to me for a fight. Even if I won, we would still continue fighting. He said he wouldn’t stop until he wins. I was so annoyed that I got beaten intentionally and immediately after that he posted on the forums about how he beat me.”
Yeon Jeung frowned while speaking. Even thinking about it now looks like an annoying incident.
“You could have kept killing him.”
“At first I thought so as well but that user’s class was special.”
“Class?”
Soo Hyuk tilted his head.
What does killing have to do with a special class?
“Yes. I don’t know the exact details but his death penalty was drastically reduced due to his class and his access limit penalty was only 1 hour.”
“1 hours? One hour penalty instead of the normal 24 hours death penalty?”
“He came back every hour to harass me. I couldn’t even hunt so I just lost intentionally.”
Yeon Jeung’s body trembled once again. It was then.
“Uh?”
Yeon Jeung who was trembling and walking, stopped moving.
“.?.”
Soo Hyuk stopped as well and watched Yeon Jeung.
“Ah…..”
Yeon Jeong sighed.
“Soo Hyuk. I am sorry.”
Yeon Jeung apologized to Soo Hyuk with a really apologetic expression.

Transposition
Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
